“This place is awesome. The service is incredible. But the food was even better! The interior of it takes you back to a simpler time. Family owned and operated. The server was the sister of the cook. The coney dogs didn’t stand a chance. Fries were so crunchy and delicious. While there, the folks sitting to the left of me ordered breakfast. I’m definitely coming back just based off of how good their hash browns looked. 10/10. Definitely coming back!“

I had a really nice experience at Lou’s Deli. The ambiance was welcoming and full of character, and the overall vibe felt like a true neighborhood spot. I came in with my son, and we genuinely enjoyed our time there.

A good friend of mine from Berry & Sons Islamic Slaughter House which is also a 5-star place recommended Lou’s, so I stopped by specifically for the corned beef. The quality and flavor were excellent, and everything tasted fresh and well prepared. I ordered the corned beef sandwich (plain with mustard) with fries, while my son had breakfast, which he really enjoyed.

The service was exceptional very friendly, attentive, and welcoming. Our waitress, an Albanian lady, was wonderful and added to the warm, community oriented atmosphere. You can feel the kindness and pride people take in their work there.

If I had one small suggestion, it would be to add a bit more meat to the corned beef sandwich. I honestly wouldn’t have minded paying a little extra for a heavier portion in New York Jewish-deli style Deli’s. That said, the taste and quality were absolutely five-star, and next time I’ll simply ask for extra meat.

Overall, great food, great people, great atmosphere. I would definitely go back and recommend it to anyone looking for a solid deli experience in Detroit especially if you appreciate good service and quality food.“
