“Everything was good. It was our first time there.. I don’t appreciate the fact that they write in the tip without telling you .I had to go back because I double tipped and nobody said anything . They let me do it without saying a word.. they should tell you that they’re adding the tip in before you pay the bill. I didn’t realize what I did until I got to my car. I had to go back and straighten it out at the restaurant. I have four kids under the age of five. It wasn’t easy for me to do this. When you’re at the table with four kids and you’re trying to pay the bill, you don’t have time to look at it to see that the tip was added in. I gave the Service five stars because I think it was good Service. I just don’t like the idea of that she knew that all this was going on ,and didn’t remind me they had already put the 20% in .“

“This place is awesome. The service is incredible. But the food was even better! The interior of it takes you back to a simpler time. Family owned and operated. The server was the sister of the cook. The coney dogs didn’t stand a chance. Fries were so crunchy and delicious. While there, the folks sitting to the left of me ordered breakfast. The staff was incredibly accommodating and gracious. This is not often a feeling I receive when bringing up food allergies. The food & drinks were so incredibly tasty and the views were unreal. The Train station, spires of St Anne’s and the Ambassador Bridge all in one shot. Turn to the left and you have the beautifully landscaped Roosevelt park to stroll through after enjoying the back porch. I’m so blown away, and so happy my friend finally got me here! “I will be back! I went down with some friends who had been in the past and I'm glad we did. I had the smoked sausage and dill pickle soup, and both were great. Our server was friendly and quick. I can't wait to take my family. There were a lot of other choices on the menu I want to try.

“I took my girlfriend to The Avenue Brunch House on Michigan Ave in Dearborn to celebrate her birthday, and it was an amazing experience from start to finish. The restaurant is beautiful inside, the wait was short, and our server, Veronica, was absolutely wonderful. The food—wow!—large portions, perfectly cooked, and reasonably priced. “Yes, but - the order and pay by phone ruins the overall experience of Mudgies. Can’t ask an app about the menu. Spent 10 minutes looking on the interface to order an ice tea. Figured it was my lack of finding the menu. Had to flag someone down to learn they were out of ice tea. All those things a server would tell you. But alas you don’t get. So good food, crappy experience! Lower your expectations, taking on the McDonald’s approach, sad really. Oh and if you want an item on the side they charge extra for that?! And with this order system no one asked me how my lunch was- or if I needed anything. So my sandwich was cold and sat awhile before it was quickly dropped at my table. I am so bummed - loved this place. The good news is there are now a ton of amazing options for lunch in Corktown. I recommend tipping much less because you are really on your own.“

“I’ve been going to Cannelle for the past five years, and they have never disappointed me. Their cakes are always beautifully designed, delicious, and a guaranteed hit whenever I bring one to a gathering.
Yesterday, there was a mix-up with my cake pickup, and I arrived at the Birmingham location shortly after closing to find the branch closed. What impressed me most was how the Cannelle team handled the situation. They diligently worked to locate the cake, opened the branch after hours, and personally delivered it to my event in West Bloomfield.
The cake arrived beautifully and was enjoyed by everyone. Mistakes can happen, but Cannelle truly went above and beyond to make things right. Their customer service was exceptional, and I’m very grateful for the care and effort they showed. I’ll happily continue recommending Cannelle to others.
