“My husband and I went for the first time tonight and the ONLY thing I wished would be different is if we didn’t go so I could experience going for the first time all over again! Everything was delicious! We had 4 cocktails, 2 appetizers, 2 specialty rolls, and 2 desserts, and EVERYTHING was delicious!! I almost couldn’t believe how everything seemed to taste better than the last thing that came out and blew me away! We are from Memphis, TN and are used to very good food and since moving to Michigan have been scouring places that meet our standards. Maru EXCEEDED all standards by every metric imaginable! The taste, the portions, the presentation…EVERYTHING was tasteful and magnificent! And our waitress Kenzie was phenomenal, extremely knowledgeable about the menu and specials, very kind and sweet and extremely attentive! I can’t wait to come back again!“

“Coming from the east coast I’ve had many opportunities to experience wonderful restaurants and service but this place was exceptional. It is in the customer service and how the staff threads in kindness throughout their actions. It’s subtle and should be watched for. It’s the little things that expand good service to great service and this is a very impressive group. Beyond that the food and wine were better than expected.“

“One of my favorite restaurants in Midland, hands down. They have a great menu with diverse food and drink options. The club sandwich and strawberry mojito are two highlights. Their burger night is stellar and cost effective. Every time we come in, the owner stops and talks with guests. This combined with exceptional service makes Diamond Jim's a prime stop in Mid-Michigan. Hailey is our favorite waitress too - best of the best!“

“Sunday brunch was delicious at the Midland Brewing Company! I wasn't aware the full menu wasn't available Sundays, but no one was disappointed by the brunch options- all the food was delicious. Our party had great service from Payne— he went above & beyond by bringing samples of relevant beers we may like, and made sure our food was perfect. Payne was kind, helpful, informative, and available— thanks Payne and MBC!“

“I ordered take out tonight about 6:50pm. It said my order was going to be done at 7:20pm. I went in at 7:10pm and my food was ready to go. Food was very hot and very good. The young lady at the counter tonight went above and beyond. She had great costumer service.“

“Will not go again. This is a steak house and after making three attempts to make a filet mignon steak correct, still all three were mushy, gray, not seared and unable to cut. Ordered medium rare and never came back that way. Lobster tails sent out under cooked had to be sent back. Not charged for meal but made a special dinner not enjoyable. Our server was excellent.“

Every employee was in good spirits and they were working like an efficient bee hive getting everyone's orders ready.
