“This unprepossessing burger joint in a small town is something of a hidden gem. Their burger is a smashburger that seems to be made of onsite ground beef. The pulled pork sandwich is actually a chopped pork with coleslaw and their barbeque sauce. The sauce is not a sweet sauce at all, nor is it mustard, it tastes like a vinegar based sauce but it is so heavily spiced that the spices make it thick. Their sides are large portions, and they are very large. The coney dog is a skinless hot dog with a wonderful chili sauce, diced white onion and yellow mustard. The chili sauce is a cut above, the dog is nothing special, but altogether it is a great hot dog. The biggest thing here is the price! Their "slider" is the size of a McDonald's burger and you can get 5 of them for $7! Their normal portion of wedge fries is large and is $2, a "family basket" $6.25 and is an full fryer basket of lovely skin on wedge fries. Come try this place, it's worth the trip.“

Ray Lynn listened to our questions about the menu and helped us settle on a shared Grilled Oriental Chicken Salad (delicious) and our entrees the Bourbon Street Chicken & Shrimp (delicious)! “I stopped in for an evening snack and cold beverage. The beer was served in a frosted mug. So good. I ordered the Shrimp and cheese appetizer. It was piping hot and came with sauteed onions and green peppers. Since I sat at the bar, I was also treated to complimentary tortilla chips and salsa. The price was reasonable and staff excellent. I will certainly be back.“

“I just have to put it out there again, that Red Rooster is one of my favorite places, to get a good meal from. They have a variety of foods besides pizza and all are good. I do mostly delivery and are always on time. Love me some Red Rooster. I order from them probably at least once a week.“

Neither the condition of the tables or if the restrooms have disposable toilet seat covers concern me. Our food was excellent, portions very fair for the price, and ready 20 minutes, ordered online. “I'm basing my rating on the food, since I don't want to criticize this place for being something it isn't. It's got seating but seems to be (at least at dinner time) mostly a take-out. But there is a lot of room and it's clean. Also, the trash is cleverly hidden behind a counter with some stuff on it so patrons don't have to look at it. Good call!

I had a soup and entree. I really liked the spice spectrum they had posted. I picked "Medium Plus." For the soup, this was very nice and spicy. For the entree, it seemed more like less-than-medium but I wasn't disappointed because A) the flavor was so good and B) the portion was very generous.

“Their new steak tips & eggs is so delicious, especially the cube potatoes and mushrooms. I also tried their signature coleslaw but I didn’t like it that much because it’s so sweet it tastes like it has sugar in it and I also didn’t like the banana nut bread but I would definitely go back again to try more things from the menu.!“
