“Stopped into the Applebee’s in Belleville and had an outstanding experience thanks to John Z. behind the bar. From the moment I sat down, he was friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. He kept drinks flowing, made great recommendations, and made sure everything was perfect throughout my visit.

What really stood out was John’s professionalism and positive attitude. Even while handling multiple guests, he stayed engaged, efficient, and made everyone feel like a priority. It’s clear he takes pride in providing excellent service and creating a great atmosphere.

Hidalgo's staff put me at ease with their knowledge about minimizing cross contamination. Everything I've tried there has been excellent. Took non GF people there too and everyone left happy!! “Pleased to say that the food is exactly how I remember it! Everything is vegetarian, some of it is vegan, and much of it is gluten free. As an omnivore, this is a place where you will not miss the meat. The food is delightfully spiced, absolutely packed with flavor, and with plentiful options. I’ve been to many spots but there really isn’t any quite like Earthen Jar.

I also love the buffet and pay-by-weight system, you can really get tons of food. And it reheats very well too! I can’t wait to come back and get more opportunities to eat here since this location is quite approachable. If you’re on the fence, I’d say give them a shot!“

“I recently visited Beirut Restaurant in Michigan and had a great experience. I ordered the mixed grill, which comes with two sides, along with rice and the lamb soup. Everything was excellent. The mixed grill was cooked perfectly, with tender, flavorful meats and generous portions. The lamb soup was rich, comforting, and packed with flavor, it was definitely one of the highlights of the meal.

The service was friendly and attentive, and the staff made me feel welcome from the moment I walked in. The restaurant was clean, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting.

Their menu has a letter and number for each item on the menu like the fast food places so it’s super easy to order over the phone. The staff is super friendly and attentive. “Would love to give this place 5 stars because it is a cool, local, historical spot, and the food is usually always good! However, I've noticed since we've been coming here for the last year that the service is hit or miss - either great and attentive or the waitor doesn't clear the table/ not fully attentive - and it could be cleaner in some areas.

BUT! I would say it's mostly always worth the visit! They do have outdoor seating for the warm months, and during the winter they have a beautiful, cozy fireplace (darling on a snowy day dining with family/friends).

Be warned when eating here that the train comes through, and it can be loud. Precisely why it's called Sidetrack Bar and Grill! Some people may not like that, but many enjoy as it reminds those of the history of the location.

Fish tacos, the Shepard Pie, and so many of their sandwiches are delicious! Great tap beers and other cocktails (and mocktails) available!“

“Beef broccoli is the best around. Not a huge fan of the sweet and sour sauce but I'll definitely be back to try the orange chicken.
Edit: the orange chicken is delicious. I asked for the sauce on the side and an extra sweet and sour sauce cup and they only charged $1 for the extra sauce (picky 2 year old) portions were huge as well.“
