“We eat at Shortys once a week. We love the specials (great smoked wings, smoke ribeye hoagie and lasagna just to name a few), excellent pizza and sandwiches. Service is speedy and friendly every time. It can be loud sometimes if it’s a full house but then other times is a quiet atmosphere.“

“What a very friendly place and a true gem. The staff was super friendly and even though it was a Friday night at dinner we only waited 5 minutes. We got the burgers and fries and had to get the ice cream sundae and shake.The fish and chips looked amazing and was huge. It is an hour and 20 minutes from our house and we will be back.“

This little place is simply overall amazing. A very hard working Family owned diner. Once again the food is like I'd prepare for my own family (I've been a Chef for 40 yrs) and just like my table you better come with an appetite! You get all that you pay for and then some and in today's economy that's really saying something. I highly recommend stopping in this place and giving them the support they deserve if you're in their neck of the woods.BTW my wife had Southwest Hash with Cinnamon Raisin Toast and I had a full order of biscuits and gravy with a couple of over medium eggs on top. “This place has an old diner feel and but with a modern look to it. The servers are always friendly and helpful. If you want any kind of substitution, within reason, they're always willing to ask the kitchen staff and majority of the time they can do it. I can honestly say I've never had bad food here. It's always been hot and fresh. I love love love their Cowboy Burger and their breakfast quesadilla.The reason I'm not giving them 5 stars is because even at breakfast, with hardly any customers around, there's no gettin in and out of the place in under 40 minutes. If you want this on your lunch break, order ahead for carryout!“

We were seated in a few minutes, our server was working several tables but still managed to keep our glasses full, anticipated our needs, and brought our meals in a timely manner and at the same time. The food was great and I found the price to be very reasonable for what we got. Kudos Johnny T's for helping make a very happy 31st anniversary!“

“Went here with our group in the same Hillsdale trip. Fantastic experience! Terry took great care of our group, and as we overflowed our table with more families coming in, she didn’t reprimand us for spreading out a bit. The Reuben sandwich was probably the best I’ve ever had. Everyone said they will definitely go back next year. Highly recommend. Big parking lot in the back of the building too!“
