Papa John's used to be pretty good (for a chain, anyway). This past year or so, however, not so much. The main problem can be summed up in one word... OVERBAKED.We used to love the garlic knots but they, along with the other bread sides, are ALWAYS overbaked, making them very dry. Not enjoyable at all, unfortunately.
I have been ordering from this particular Papa Johns for years, the food was good, they have done a better job in years past. I assume because they were super busy and that made the quality less than stellar. Here's my beef though, the person that was working the front counter was turned around and playing on their phone when I walked in the door. We ordered "the works" pizza and added bacon and banana peppers withmushrooms on half. We got home and had a banana pepper bacon with mushrooms on half not any of the other toppings. It was very good just not sure what happened. Next time I will look before we leave.
