“This is a grip of nostalgia from the word go.

This restaurant is never more than it needs to be. One person on the grill, one waitress, and a great lineup of breakfast and lunch options.

The place is cash only, which is not something you see everyday. And EVERYTHING on the menu is under $10.

You won’t find a better value for breakfast in the area. The cynics would say it needs to be renovated, but if they do it would take away from the charm.

Nothing needs to change about this place. We will be here again. Thank you“

“My wife and I ordered the “Fish & Chips” When I tell you we have found our new spot for Fish in Taylor “We found our new spot” The fish was fresh & flakey, batter was light and crunchy, the tartar sauce had a good amount of relish in it. Not all mayo! Our dinner also came with soup, (3 to choose from) chicken noodle, lemon rice, and clam chowder. We chose clam chowder, very flavorful & packed with clams. This spot is right down the street from my grandkids house. I have been there many times with them but I did not put two & two together when we ordered our carry out. (Door Dash) Now that we know, you can count on us being repeat offenders. Thanks for the great meal we will still be in with the grands for Sunday breakfast lol. 5+++“

“Went there for lunch today. They were super short staffed, but other than the wait for the table, you couldn't tell. The wait-staff was amazing, even if there was only THREE for the whole place. “Ive been here a few times to delivery throne chairs and marquee numbers for a party there event space is huge and they’ve made some updates to the flooring. The space can hold a lot of people and every party I’ve delivered to here seem to be a good party and have a nice turn out.“

Although the music was too loud and annoying to me, the hostess was able to seat me in a quieter area even though she had to clean the table for me. “The food is delicious! The last two times we went here we waited a long time to order. The waitresses were all talking by the register. Then came the long wait for the food. People who came after us were served. This second visit we had a sandwich and an omelette. There was no reason to wait 25 minutes for the food. We were really considering leaving. Then we were going to take some food home but since our waitress didn’t come by, we decided to just pay and leave. We’ve been going to Pipers for many many years, but after the service we received the last two visits, it will be awhile before we come back. This is sad because the food is really good. The restaurant only had 5 tables with people and there were 4 or 5 people hanging around the register.“

“The Bistro in the lobby of the Detroit Metro Airport Marriott is an okay place to post up if you need to. The food is really nothing special - hotel prices for very basic snacks and meals. But the atmosphere is nice, with recently renovated seating areas (including couches and many TVs showing various sports). If you want to catch a game while staying at this hotel, the Bistro and lobby is an okay place to do so.“

My boyfriend and I had lunch here yesterday and it was such a nice experience. The '80s and '90s theme is so cool! and the girl behind the counter who took our order was as sweet as could be. I wish I couldn't remember the name of the store owner, and I should have written it down, but what a genuine nice guy! The food was superior! I had the chicken and bacon ranch wrap which was so large that I had to take half of it with me. My boyfriend's Ringo Burger was so delicious and so fresh tasting. We also had the cajun fries and he generously offered a cup of French onion soup for us to try. All I can say is delicious! I would definitely recommend this place and I will be coming back again! “This is a great place to eat, we had dinner and the next we had an all you can eat breakfast buffet. They have great hospitality and are always there to serve. Not waiting at all. Thank you for making my childrens birthday weekend enjoyable. You saved us on breakfast because our hotel free breakfast was out of food at 8:30 so I am grateful you saved the weekend for us.“

“Sam’s place feels like it came straight out of a movie. I love coming here. Imagine a diner from the 80s and you basically have Sam’s place.

The service is super fast and friendly, the food is your typical diner food. They have a good variety of breakfast, lunch and dinner options. Prices are really good and the food normally comes out within 5-10 minutes.“

“I ordered the new menu item steak and onion dinner. It came with mashed potatoes w gravy and broccoli with a side of banana nut bread. My drink was a strawberry lemonade. I was seated right away and my food took only 15 minutes at most. The dinner and drink have lots of flavor. The banana nut bread was a little too moist. I will go back again.“
