I popped in just to pick up someone else’s order (yes, I was the food fairy 🧚🏽‍♀️), and even without tasting a single bite, I already know this spot is about to become my new go-to. This place? AUTHENTIC with a capital “A.” From the smell of freshly grilled tortillas to the warm welcome from the owner (who told me they’ve been rocking it for 5 YEARS?!), I was sold instantly. Like… how have I been sleeping on this?! 😩 The decor? Simple but real. It’s giving “don’t judge a taco by its tortilla.” And even though I didn’t eat (YET), let me tell you something: if vibes had flavor, I already know this food SLAPS. “I don’t typically review fast food restaurants but the ladies that serviced me this morning (around 9:30a) were so sweet and accommodating. I just had to leave a review. I did a mobile order this morning and when I pulled up to the drive-through one of the items I ordered was not available, they kindly let me substitute for another menu item as well as threw in a complimentary drink. Good quality customer service is hard to come by these days, keep up the work ladies!“

“We returned from a long day at the grand opening for the Centennial Park downtown. We were parked at the Bagley Mobile Unit Parking structure, which is across the street from this food truck. We ordered the birriaqueso tacos and the asada fries with a guava Jarritos. Everything was hot and top-notch delicious. Would recommend and definitely going to eat there again!“

“My husband and I tried out Nuevo Seoul for the first time and had a nice experience. It’s a cool setting, the service was fantastic, and we really enjoyed the food. We would eat here again.

Dietary restrictions: I have a gluten allergy, and they were really helpful. They double-checked the ingredients in the proteins I was considering and helped me find something safe to eat.“

“I had 5 broken teeth and 2 large abscesses and couldn't eat much of anything but was starving. I was looking for something soft to gum. Thinking tamales or beans and cheese. Of the options the flour tortilla beef birria seemed to be the best fit. I ordered those, a side of beans and, a side of consomme. Was amazing. Just on the edge of what I can tolerate heat wise (I am a wimp). Great taste. I used the consomme to make birria ramen for a later meal. (Just beef ramen, 2 sticks string cheese, and the consomme). It was also great, very satisfying.“

“Hands down best steak taco/burrito I've ever eaten. It's worth venturing to. It's pretty inexpensive too. Spanish is spoken and cash only. It's easy to miss because it's in the parking lot behind tall fences that say farmers market right on the corner of Livernois and Toledo street.“

“My family and I visit Mexican Village because of the family connection from many many years ago, I remember running around the restaurant as a young child sixty years ago. The place is very dear to all of us. We where treated so greatly and the food hasn't changed its still the best! My hats off to all the employees of Mexican Village thank you so much.“

“Today we had brunch at Eve’s for the first time. Eves’s certainly was a hit for myself and the pickiest eater I know! He raved all the way home about how awesome his omelette was, great flavorful tasted made perfectly, he’s praised! “Went there today around 4pm for dinner, hadn't been there in a few years. I had the #1 Combo, alot of food and it was delicious!! My strawberry margarita was fantastic, shout out to the bartender!! Waitress was busy, but service was good; seemed she was the only waitress for room we were in (room with long bar that ran width of the room).“

“Great flavor tacos, you can take out or seat, the seating area is large enough so you don't feel on top of each other.

The chiles asados (grilled peppers) were a nice compliment.

From the outside it looks sketchy but it was pretty good 😊

“Ordered the chips and guacamole with the steak burrito!

Less than 2minutes of sitting down, they bring my chips + salsa & guacamole! The salsa has quite a bit of a kick in heat, and the guacamole cools down the tastebuds and tastes like it has hints of lime and cilantro.

The main course: the steak burrito! You do have to pay 3$ extra for the steak, but it's so worth it! Everything is nice and tender, I recommend with the pinto beans for the burrito... Everything is well balanced and cooked deliciously!

“Hidden gem—almost impossible to see the name of this little restaurant, so it’s easy to miss! But what a fun surprise when you do find it. Great drinks—I tried the Hibiscus Margarita, my hubby had the classic. Very tasty! The food had great authentic flavor and was very reasonably priced for Birmingham. I had the shrimp taco and didn’t love how thick the soft shell was, but the flavor was delicious and the sauce with the shrimp was yummy. My hubby and daughter loved their dishes. He got a steak special and she got the Biria dish.
The coconut cake and churro cheese cake dessert were fabulous and worth the calories!
Service was great, friendly and helpful!

“I normally don’t write reviews, but after just spending money on a take out order that they didn’t include the chips I ordered then said that I didn’t order them, which I did because I ordered a large mild salsa. Why would I do that? so the manager , Sam, told me I could come back to the restaurant, but he would have to charge me for the chips that they made a mistake on. And even worse was, I had to wait for them to make my tostada, and when I got it home, the cheese was not even melted. It was just placed on top of the beef with no tomato or lettuce and the cheese on the burritos was cold and like rubber. I Will not go back there. The food and service was terrible.“

“While I love the flavor of their food, the only time we've had an order 100% correct was the first time we ordered. Every time we order since then there's something missing, fries overcooked and hard, messed up items, and things added to what we've ordered when we've requested it to be removed. Thankfully I simply don't like tomatoes and onions and am not allergic to them, cuz they ALWAYS forget to remove the pico when my receipt even says "no pico de gallo". Their queso blanco and their Sabor sauce are probably the two best things about them, at least when they remember to include it even if you pay for extra. For how pricey they are I would expect to have my order correct all the time. I'll be going down to the taco trucks in Southwest Detroit from now on cuz they always get the order right, they're delicious, AND they're inexpensive.“

“I love trying new Mexican places, especially the whole in the wall... mom and pop places. Everything is homemade. NEVER ever had a salsa that tasted like theirs. I am a hot fan... it may be a little spicy for some. This place has been here for 43 years. Well they are in a new building. They were a few over, but there was a fire and now in a new building. What drew me in was the pictures on how they hook up the tostadas. To my surprise they actually have the goooddd tacos. MmmmmGo bless/support your local, small places. This is cash only establishment and they are opened everyday 10 to 7pm.“
