“I had 5 broken teeth and 2 large abscesses and couldn't eat much of anything but was starving. I was looking for something soft to gum. Thinking tamales or beans and cheese. Of the options the flour tortilla beef birria seemed to be the best fit. I ordered those, a side of beans and, a side of consomme. Was amazing. Just on the edge of what I can tolerate heat wise (I am a wimp). Great taste. I used the consomme to make birria ramen for a later meal. (Just beef ramen, 2 sticks string cheese, and the consomme). It was also great, very satisfying.“

“OMG! The food is delicious! Authentic Mexican food. I had the 2 taco dinner, chicken, and it was flavored so well, just the right amount of spice and even had lime on the side. It was fantastic. My husband had the Burrito Supreme and it took up the whole plate! He had fork the burrito and stuffings into his mouth. The salsa and queso were so good with nice chuncky veggies in them. We live almost an hour away and we will definitely make the effort to come back!“

He’s lived in Scottsdale the past ~7 years of his life where they have fantastic Mexican food and he thought this was right on par. I have been dying for good tacos in the area and this is itttttt. The quesa birria was fantastic and the consommé was drinkable, the shrimp was juicy and flavorful, and the carne asada was tender juicy flavorful ugh I’m so happy! Chips were crispy and hot, pico and queso were delicious. I also had the rice and beans which I really enjoyed! This is definitely our new spot and I have a feeling they’re going to blow up here soon!“

“I had the wings… Worst experience in my life. Myself and the three people who accompanied me were bewildered at how terrible they were. I’m specifically referring to the Macha flavor. Or should I say absolutely no flavor, You would think the outside skin was mixed with concrete or perhaps mine were just burnt. Additionally, the sauce had no flavor. I think it was just oil. I’ll definitely come back again 10/10 vibes.“

“While I love the flavor of their food, the only time we've had an order 100% correct was the first time we ordered. Every time we order since then there's something missing, fries overcooked and hard, messed up items, and things added to what we've ordered when we've requested it to be removed. Thankfully I simply don't like tomatoes and onions and am not allergic to them, cuz they ALWAYS forget to remove the pico when my receipt even says "no pico de gallo". Their queso blanco and their Sabor sauce are probably the two best things about them, at least when they remember to include it even if you pay for extra. For how pricey they are I would expect to have my order correct all the time. I'll be going down to the taco trucks in Southwest Detroit from now on cuz they always get the order right, they're delicious, AND they're inexpensive.“

I had the quesadillas (chicken), chips and queso. The dessert was over the top. When I say I am not typically a big eater I tried some of everything. The best part the servings were ample enough I have left overs for a day or two. In addition to Chris the staff was welcoming and friendly. I will be back. Stopped by El Toro Bar & Grill in Pontiac, MI, and overall had a pretty good experience. The service was fine—nothing exceptional, but attentive enough. I ordered a meal that came with generous portions, which was definitely a plus. You won’t leave hungry.

The atmosphere is colorful and lively, though I have to admit the Day of the Dead skulls in the decor caught me off guard. They’re artistically done, but something about them felt a little creepy to me—not quite the vibe I expected when sitting down to eat. Might just be personal taste.

All in all, it was an okay visit with solid food and a festive setting. Worth checking out if you're in the area and curious.“
