“I had 5 broken teeth and 2 large abscesses and couldn't eat much of anything but was starving. I was looking for something soft to gum. Thinking tamales or beans and cheese. Of the options the flour tortilla beef birria seemed to be the best fit. I ordered those, a side of beans and, a side of consomme. Was amazing. Just on the edge of what I can tolerate heat wise (I am a wimp). Great taste. I used the consomme to make birria ramen for a later meal. (Just beef ramen, 2 sticks string cheese, and the consomme). It was also great, very satisfying.“

I popped in just to pick up someone else’s order (yes, I was the food fairy 🧚🏽♀️), and even without tasting a single bite, I already know this spot is about to become my new go-to. This place? AUTHENTIC with a capital “A.” From the smell of freshly grilled tortillas to the warm welcome from the owner (who told me they’ve been rocking it for 5 YEARS?!), I was sold instantly. Like… how have I been sleeping on this?! 😩 The decor? Simple but real. It’s giving “don’t judge a taco by its tortilla.” And even though I didn’t eat (YET), let me tell you something: if vibes had flavor, I already know this food SLAPS. “I had the wings… Worst experience in my life. Myself and the three people who accompanied me were bewildered at how terrible they were. I’m specifically referring to the Macha flavor. Or should I say absolutely no flavor, You would think the outside skin was mixed with concrete or perhaps mine were just burnt. Additionally, the sauce had no flavor. I think it was just oil. I’ll definitely come back again 10/10 vibes.“

“What a treat!! This place is fab ♥️ the carajillo cocktail is perfection and the food was fantastic. I had the shrimp tacos and they were phenomenal. “Our waitress was very helpful she brought over out breakfast of Chorizo con Juevos (awesome)and Eggs not your typical greasy chorizo it was the most flavorful and no grease residue or aftertaste that usually stays with you all day. Eggs Rachancheros / green sauce that were cooked perfect. As for the atmosphere it's a Bar , Mexican rough apparently the fights are mostly in the men's bathroom.. beat up..🤠 I will return for a different dish to try out next time. Enjoy!“

“First time trying it and let me say I regret not trying it sooner. I was a bit hesitant but Chris was extremely helpful and made so many great recommendations. I had the quesadillas (chicken), chips and queso. The dessert was over the top. When I say I am not typically a big eater I tried some of everything. The best part the servings were ample enough I have left overs for a day or two. In addition to Chris the staff was welcoming and friendly. I will be back. Chris needs a raise for doing an amazing job!!“

“Jake at Qdoba deserves a promotion, a raise, and probably his own burrito named after him. Seriously—this was hands-down the best customer service I’ve had in a long time. He was upbeat, funny, and made the whole experience feel less like ordering food and more like hanging out with a friend who just happens to make amazing burritos. If every place had a Jake, the world would be a happier (and better-fed) place.“

Stopped by El Toro Bar & Grill in Pontiac, MI, and overall had a pretty good experience. The service was fine—nothing exceptional, but attentive enough. I ordered a meal that came with generous portions, which was definitely a plus. You won’t leave hungry.
The atmosphere is colorful and lively, though I have to admit the Day of the Dead skulls in the decor caught me off guard. They’re artistically done, but something about them felt a little creepy to me—not quite the vibe I expected when sitting down to eat. Might just be personal taste.
All in all, it was an okay visit with solid food and a festive setting. Worth checking out if you're in the area and curious.“

The place felt cool, relaxed, and welcoming, which made it an easy stop. I ordered a steak bowl with white rice and lettuce, which was simple but exactly what I was in the mood for.

“I love it here so much. Every Tuesday me and my stepmom come for their special “taco Tuesday” she orders the tacos but I ALWAYS go with the chicken soup. It’s so rich in flavor and it’s amazing. It has so many things in it; broth, avocados, rice, chicken, etc. it’s amazing.“
