AUTHENTIC with a capital “A.” From the smell of freshly grilled tortillas to the warm welcome from the owner (who told me they’ve been rocking it for 5 YEARS?!), I was sold instantly. Like… how have I been sleeping on this?! 😩 The decor? Simple but real. It’s giving “don’t judge a taco by its tortilla.” And even though I didn’t eat (YET), let me tell you something: if vibes had flavor, I already know this food SLAPS. “I don’t typically review fast food restaurants but the ladies that serviced me this morning (around 9:30a) were so sweet and accommodating. I just had to leave a review. I did a mobile order this morning and when I pulled up to the drive-through one of the items I ordered was not available, they kindly let me substitute for another menu item as well as threw in a complimentary drink. Good quality customer service is hard to come by these days, keep up the work ladies!“

Since the first time I tried their tacos, I’ve been hooked and keep coming back. The shells are perfectly crispy, the meat is always seasoned just right, and honestly, no other place compares. You can tell everything is made with care and fresh ingredients.

This review is way overdue. The menu is small, but everything on it is high quality and done really well. I don’t even mind the 45 minute drive for these tacos—they really are bad ass! The service is excellent, everyone is friendly and welcoming, and they always make you feel like a regular.

I always look forward to the weekends just so I can drive over for their tacos and ramen. The ramen is comforting and flavorful, and the tacos are consistently amazing every single time. This business deserves 20 stars—it is my number one taco place! If you’re thinking about trying this place, do it—you’ll be hooked too.“

“I had 5 broken teeth and 2 large abscesses and couldn't eat much of anything but was starving. I was looking for something soft to gum. Thinking tamales or beans and cheese. Of the options the flour tortilla beef birria seemed to be the best fit. I ordered those, a side of beans and, a side of consomme. Was amazing. Just on the edge of what I can tolerate heat wise (I am a wimp). Great taste. I used the consomme to make birria ramen for a later meal. (Just beef ramen, 2 sticks string cheese, and the consomme). It was also great, very satisfying.“

“All the people who worked there were the nicest people ever. Their soup has healed me on multiple occasions, and has alphabet noodles which I think is an adorable choice. All of the other food was really good too. Dry rub wings are awesome. The ranch was good too but the wings didn't need it. I would add a picture but I ate it all immediately 😄“

“Hands down best steak taco/burrito I've ever eaten. It's worth venturing to. It's pretty inexpensive too. Spanish is spoken and cash only. It's easy to miss because it's in the parking lot behind tall fences that say farmers market right on the corner of Livernois and Toledo street.“

“Up until tonight, which is New Year's Eve and also my birthday, this restaurant has been my favorite place to eat. Not only is the food spectacular, but the service has always been perfection...until tonight. Usually, the staff is so attentive, and I never have to remind them to bring anything. Tonight, so many things were forgotten and/or incorrect. The server had to be reminded twice to bring us bread. The butter was frozen, so it was impossible to spread, and, in the past, the butter was always room temperature, and that detail was appreciated. Next, my drink was forgotten and the server had to be reminded. My husband requested that his drink be served with dinner which it wasn't and delivered to the wrong person. My friend's meal was incorrect, so she had to sit and watch everyone else eat as she waited. The restaurant did give her a complimentary soup for the mistake, so that was nice. What was probably most upsetting was that we requested dessert plates for cupcakes that we brought and the server told us that we would be charged $20, just for using dessert plates! We weren't asking for a cake to be cut or served, just plates to put our cupcakes on and it was a $20 charge! Absolutely ridiculous, especially since we were a group of 7 that ordered drinks and dinner. So, we had to have our cupcakes in the parking lot. Last, the server told us that they could not split up a bill, so we had to sit there figuring out all the math, and the server used the cash that was part of his tip from one friend to reduce the balance from another friend's bill who was paying with a credit card. It was such a mess, and I was very disappointed. This used to be my favorite restaurant for years, but with so many mistakes, it's hard to want to come back, which is a shame because the food is amazing. My advice is to not come for large parties! I hope management fixes the training of their servers. It used to be outstanding. Not sure who dropped the ball so far.“

“The food was delicious. Had the beef and the carne asada tacos with chips and guac. First, these chips are store-made, flavored and delicious. Corn tortillas, which I love, for the tacos that are fried or heated, so not like a the other restaurant corn tortillas. It is best to order online or have a little patience in-person. Waitress of course didn’t mention the added cost and I didn’t notice until after the fact. Seemed odd for such a small party, but feel they should warn us while paying“

“I normally don’t write reviews, but after just spending money on a take out order that they didn’t include the chips I ordered then said that I didn’t order them, which I did because I ordered a large mild salsa. Why would I do that? so the manager , Sam, told me I could come back to the restaurant, but he would have to charge me for the chips that they made a mistake on. And even worse was, I had to wait for them to make my tostada, and when I got it home, the cheese was not even melted. It was just placed on top of the beef with no tomato or lettuce and the cheese on the burritos was cold and like rubber. I Will not go back there. The food and service was terrible.“
