“The food was AMAZING and the service was too. My wife wanted rib tips, they ran out but didn't disappoint her with the BBQ chicken. I got the smothered pork chop and the gravy was good. The sides were good as well we sampled a few of them, the yams, greens, potato salad, great northern beans and Mac n cheese.(My wife got a sweet potato pie as well but we saved it and we haven't tried it yet. I will update my review when we do). Everything was good and I recommend trying everything for yourself.“

“Love this place!!! I will and have traveled to get THIS food! The portions are generous and there's plenty to choose from. From turkey and dressing to fried chicken to meatloaf and gravy; try it ALL! Taste like it came outta your Grandma's kitchen!!“

“The bartender Jon was amazing. The food is so good and the restaurant is absolutely beautiful. I will say that the hostess, Ms. P was extremely rude, and I almost left. I wanted to dine in, but Ms. P said reservations were required. I told her if we can't eat in, then we can order to go. She interrupted me while I was speaking and asked, "You wanted to eat in, don't you?" I almost left because as her being the face of the restaurant, it was not a welcoming experience.
I'm glad I walked away from her and ordered at the bar. She definitely needs a class in customer service.“

“We stopped by Savannah Blue for an early dinner and were among the first guests through the door. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the food did not disappoint! We ordered a few shareable dishes—dry rubbed wings, catfish fritters, collard greens, and mac and cheese—and every single bite was packed with flavor. The cocktails were great too, and for two drinks plus food, our bill came to $100. The only downside was the automatic 19% gratuity, which we would've preferred to add ourselves. Still, the food and service were both excellent, and we'd definitely come back!“

“Wow ? as you enter there was a level of warmth from the greetings received. The STAFF was phenomenal, and appeared to have a great working unisons.. The food was the bomb ? my cousin and his college friend/brother was visiting from Northern California and needed some soul food made by special hands….. well Cornbread has it…. Not only was the ambience a vibe with their decor but the food is AMAZING… it was overall a great experience“

“Best black owned food I tasted so far and very friendly! I really want to try everything on the menu. They make your food fresh so you might want to call it in. I had the turkey ribs, greens and yams. Them turkey ribs were tender and falling off the bone. The yams were sweet to a perfection and the greens were perfect also. I went yesterday and I can't wait to return again today. Must give them a try yall!“

“Lilly Bell's did a superb job of catering my baby shower / birthday gathering event. They were prompt and professional and the food was so good!!! I recommend this catering company for anybody who's interested in good quality food prompt service and very a very respectful staff.“

“I tried them again, this time not right when they where opening. The place looks and feels alot cleaner. I got the spaghetti and rib tips. the Ribs where excellent. the spaghetti was good but not my style, I prefer traditional spaghetti. the noodles where not soggy this time but the sauce was a bit runny more like a Chilli/stew sauce. if the noodles where separate from the sauce they wouldn't get soggy over time. you can keep noodles from drying out by tossing with a little bit of olive oil but every one has there own style“

“Detroit soul is possibly the best meal from start to finish I've had in years. Walking in you notice how delicious everything smells, how clean everything is and how friendly everyone who works here is. The food is top notch. The breadding on the catfish fritters made my mouth water, the greens made me want to write home, the mac and cheese was perfectly cooked and the meatloaf was so tender and tasty. Then the dessert! Peach cobbler that made me make obscene noises, the creamy vanilla scoop and the amazing red pop sorbet were bursting with flavorful perfection. I highly recommend going here and trying everything.“

“I was laying in bed and started googling soul food near me. This place popped up and it was only 5 minutes from my house. I called and placed my order.
When I got there my food was ready and the service was good.
Now when I got home and tasted the food I was shook. I don’t find good soul food too often here in Detroit and this spot served me up just right
