“I attended one of Matt's Brisket Classes recently It was awesome! Being new to smoking, I felt very comfortable asking questions, learning new techniques and tricks from others in the class, as well as gained a better understanding of the process as a whole. Thanks Matt, I"ll be back for more classes in the future!“
“Great little spot in East Lansing close to campus with ample parking and easily accessible. Menu is extensive and has a good variety of choices.Spicy beef ramen and Spam rice balls were both delicious and I would easily order them again!Staffing was super friendly and walked around interacting with folks who were eating in.“
“The best brisket I've ever had! Pickle fries were great, not greasy at all, drinks were amazing. Waiter was always checking on us, recommended the brisket, he was great! Overall the atmosphere you could spend hours in there! I will definitely be back when I'm in the area!“
“My family and I love this place so much! We LOVE the bone-in wings with the Sweet Glaze the most and the hot bag of donuts. I love the specialty drinks they bring in for all the seasons. Every time we go there we get the best service with the best servers! It is definitely our go to place for eating out.“
“I pointed Babes out to my boyfriend recently and mentioned we should try them out soon as the menu looked so tasty. He surprised me today with an order to try out a few of their sandwiches: the Betty, the Margaret, and the Fran. My first comment is on the size. He ordered halves, with the thought that they would be smaller sandwiches that would be just a couple bites for us to try. We didn’t realize that it was half a sub! But we powered through, because after one bite, there is no way we weren’t going to try all of them. Literally, some of the best sandwiches either of us have ever had in our lives. So much flavor, the perfect bun, and everything was obviously put together with so much thought. The Margaret in particular was my favorite; a little bit of heat and a tad sweet. So glad to finally tried Babes out, and so thankful to have a new Lansing favorite! Highly, highly recommend.“
“What a GEM!! Guy Fieri ate here in his popular "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives" show so we decided to head over.O.M.G.We were lucky to get a table when we came in because another 8 people flowed in right behind us! First of all, the Brisket Banh Mi is now famous, my wife had that - it was insanely good. It's one of those difficult-to-chose menus because each sandwich is super original and sounds amazing.I had the "Forgotten Thanksgiving" which is pulled fresh turkey breast over fresh giant slices of corn bread, and layered with a turkey gravey. I love Thanksgiving and this was EVERYTHING I was hoping for. The cornbread was amazing. The gravey was amazing. There was no critique to be had..Don't miss this spot... I'm a new regular!! ?“
“This is a cool little spot. I hadn’t been there in a few years, or since it’s been under new ownership. I went in there to play pool on the one Valley table that they have there. The owner is a pretty cool guy and very sociable. I hear he is pretty generous when serving drinks, if you get one. He plays good music as well.“
“The owner wasn't ready to serve but she whipped up a couple of Buffalo Chicken sandwiches . The chicken was a tad bit on the dry side, the bacon was thick, crisp and delicious. Topped with fresh tomato and lettuce. Overall it was very tasty. Considering how busy she was I'd give them another try. I'm really looking forward to trying their breakfast burritos. The place is small but nicely decorated, a nice laid back decor that really suites the menu.“
“Normally there food is really good but we ordered food and found pieces of hair on our chicken and chilli, the burger was supposed to be done all the way but it was very pink. The sweet potatoes were so burnt that they were black. Kinda disappointing.“
“amazing service, great food and drinks, we will be back! food took a little while but i don’t mind waiting if it’s delicious with a good atmosphere! the french dip was more of a brisket sandwich but delicious nonetheless.very happy with our first time in!“
“Food is flavorful, fresh, and outstanding! We love to use the bbq to cook beef bulgogi at the table. The bonchon sides are excellent, and there is always something different to enjoy each time we eat there! This is by far my favorite restaurant in East Lansing, especially before football games! Please keep up the great food and service!“

“My recent takeout experience at Gravity Smokehouse was outstanding, thanks in large part to Weston's excellent assistance. He was incredibly helpful and made the ordering process a breeze. The food was exceptional, with every dish bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. Despite being takeout, the packaging was impeccable, preserving the freshness of the meal. Overall, I highly recommend Gravity Smokehouse for delicious barbecue and top-notch service. Thanks to Weston and the team for a memorable dining experience!“
“Today was my first time at saddleback, and food here was absolutely phenomenal! The food and atmosphere closely resembled what I feel like I might see at a traditional southern bbq place down south maybe. The service was spot on and staff were so nice. My only gripe at really no fault of the business is the lack of parking, but worth the struggle every bit. Will be back again soon!“
“I went in at lunch time today, and it was a bonus for me as it was not crowded. But it was also unfortunate that I was the only one there during lunch hour, while surrounding businesses were thriving. I have not had a bad experience here in a half dozen visits or so. Today I had the Western Sandwich combo, which is a good size sandwich with two meats and cheese. I did the smoked chicken and delicious brisket. Great sandwich, I tried the potato casserole instead of the french fries and wish I hadn't. Basically dried mashed potatoes. The french fries have always been fresh when I've gotten them. I realize Dickey's is a chain, but I can't believe for the value and smoked meats that it doesn't generate more business than this. $12 for the combo I had today which includes a large fountain drink. Give it a try, especially the brisket (stay away from the potato casserole).“
“TLDR: Absolutely wonderful place to get some quick, tasty food! While going on lunch one day, I was asking my coworkers for a nice option around, and one of them recommended this place! Best decision ever. It's always an easy in-and-out when I order online, and the staff is incredibly friendly!! The place is always spotless, and right when I walk in the door there is usually someone there to help me. The prices, this day in age, are incredibly reasonable for what you receive. If you're looking for a new place to grab something to eat, definitely add this one to the list of ones to try.“
