“I haven’t been here in years. My girlfriend was craving some bbq and we decided to venture 18 minutes across town to head here. Mlk was closed so we had to drive through genesse neighborhood, but was it worth it. I don’t like to take pictures of peoples food cause it doesn’t usually do it justice when you find good food. Kayla and our kid shared a pound of brisket and baked Mac and cheese and macaroni salad. Hands down the best brisket that I’ve had in the area and the macaroni salad was insane. My kid said it was the best he’s ever eaten. As for me I opted for a chicken banh mi, everything was fresh and just what I wanted on top of the chicken being excellent on an excellent roll. We sat there with linh and talked about food as I also am in the industry about how her store used to be a phone store and me doing breakfast in the food truck. I highly recommend this place, she works by herself and cares so much about the food. Just like I do. It’s great to find another person and place like this“

“Now, this! This is barbecue done right, my friends! Cutie and I stopped in today, and my, my, my, were we satisfied. You know it's good when you literally run to the car to devour it. I got the chicken sandwich plate with two sides: mac and cheese, and potato salad. All I can say is that the tater salad is so good, I wish they sold large containers of it! Cutie tried mine and loved it as well! The mac and cheese was creamy, cheesy, and spectacular. The sandwich itself was perfect, with the awesome smoked flavor of the meat and a bun that was soft as can be. I dunked it in their BBQ sauce, which just made it that much better. I loved every single minute of this meal.

Cutie got the chicken plate with two sides: baked beans and mac and cheese, along with cornbread. She may have scolded her mouth on the beans as they were very freshly prepared, but they're fantastic. She loved the chicken and plans to order it again next time we're back. And that cornbread—so thicc and delicious, just like Cutie herself. We each got a slice of cake and loved, loved, loved them too. I had the peanut butter sheet cake, and the flavor was top-tier. The cake was thick and soft—perfection. My Cutie girl got the carrot cake, which was phenomenal, with actual chunks of carrot in it.

The portion sizes are great for the price. I was almost shocked at how affordable all of our food was, considering the quality. As soon as you pull up, you see their large smoker, and then the aromas hit you, making you feel like you've died and gone to BBQ heaven. We love The King of the Grill and will be back many, many times. Thank you for the awesome lunch today and for doing what you do. We appreciate you—five out of five for sure!“

“Gump's chili dog. Smoked beef brisket sauce with cheddar cheese and a little bit a heat. Possibly the best hot dog in the mid Michigan area. Brisket sandwich meal with 2 sides was also awesome. Sides might be under rated compared to rest of menu. They were delicious!“

“Went into REO Town to get a late lunch at Good Truckin’ Diner. But, apparently open til 3 doesn’t mean taking orders til 3. So we went down to Saddleback BBQ and we had zero regrets! When we walked in, the staff was very friendly and went above and beyond to accommodate my senior citizen mother. The pulled pork sandwiches were delicious and the service was excellent. I highly recommend!“

“Best dive bar my husband and I have ever been to. Owner (I believe his name is Jeff) was incredible and the patrons there were so warm and welcoming. We can’t wait to return and have some of the food made with the meat smoked on site!
