“I'm Editing this review because I'm turned off by the employees smoking cigarettes outside. Part of the reason why I don't come here as often.

I'm not against peoples choices in their habits, I'm more turned off by the employees sitting on the bench next to the ice cream place and the few times going into the bakery, the employees smelled of cigarettes.

What can't you say about this bakery. Been around for decades. Always has been good. Girls behind the counter are friendly and prices for pastries...outstanding. I recommend the turnovers. Panera who? BTW look at the size of the pastry?“

“Sugar Island Baking Company.. WOW!! My cousin and I hosted a family reunion in Grosse Ile, and we were looking for catering that was nearby, and I happened upon this in my searches. (I live in NYC so my standards are pretty high). Catering options were a nice variety sandwiches, cookies, brownies, cheesecakes shooters, and some savory options as well. Every single thing that we ate was better than the next. All the members of our family couldn’t stop raving about the food and desserts. “The absolute best little bakery and cafe. Everything and I mean everything is delicious. It’s all home made from scratch and so so so good. It’s one of those places you can take anybody to and they’ll find something yummy to eat. It feels so good to be able to go out with my little daughter and be able to feed her good food she actually is excited to eat. A very special place!

Kid-friendliness: They are SO good about your littles. My girl loves everything there, cookies, sandwiches, soups, quiche. The staff is super kid-friendly. We go so often, my 2 year old girl loves them all!“

“May's Bakery & Country Store did an incredible job on our custom sheet cake. Not only was it beautiful, it was delicious. White cake with confetti filling on one side and chocolate cake with Oreo filling on the other. They did exactly what we asked, it was ready on schedule, and everyone LOVED it. Everything we’ve tried at the bakery has been delicious, the country store has many treats and treasures, and the staff are so kind. If you’re in the Downriver area and haven’t been to May’s, get there!“

“Decent desert place in metro Detroit area and Dearborn of course.
Their coffees are amazing especially the large cappuccino.
We have been there for many years and customer service always the best. Quality of their product never disappoints us. Cleanliness is also appreciated as being so busy never found them dirty or unclean restroom.
Chocolate turtle, macaroon are highly recommended. This store is located heart of Dearborn and close to highway.
Ice cream only available for summer time and I wish they would continue for winter as well.“

“I had to prepare some food for a potluck, but I had a pretty full schedule. I called Liberati's and they were able to accommodate me on about 36 hours notice with 3 of their 3' party subs. They were on time and ready when I arrived and Frank himself helped to load them into my car. I wasn't ready for what came next: texts, mail, and messages all saying thank you for a great contribution and half of them asking me where to get them. You clearly can't go wrong with LIberati's.“

“I have really enjoyed the ice cream bunny cakes I've purchased in the past years. Unfortunately, this year is different. The cookie on the face of the bunny was completely unedible. It had a very strange flavor and left a bad aftertaste. We didn't even try the tail cookie. All the inside cake and ice cream and frosting was delicious though.“

“First of all, I’m so glad to finally have a Cinnabon much closer to home. It was sooo delicious, hot, and fresh out of the oven. I did have to wait quite a bit for it (about 12-15 mins), because they had just put more in the oven. But I honestly had no problem waiting for it because I knew how fresh they would be, despite that though the staff repeatedly apologized for the wait, and offered to give me something for free, I said no it’s okay but he insisted and gave me a free glittery raspberry lemonade, also he didn’t charge me for the extra icing. The food, and staff were equally great! Will be a regular lol. Thank you guys again! 💚“
