“I have had a lot of disappointments in sushi restaurants in the past, but I have to say, this was not the case!! Going into this restaurant, expectations were low, but I was definitely wrong. We started off with edamame, which was the perfect amount of seasoning, next we were given tempura tofu, which was absolutely delicious, 🤤 it had the perfect amount of flavour and texture. Next we were given miso soup, which was perfect, first of all because it was actually vegan, my parents are vegan and I’m vegetarian - which was surprising because normally miso soups are not vegan, but these soups tasted just like the ones with fish dashi in them, so that was great! And then, the star of the fricking show. Was the sushi. We ordered avocado rolls, avocado cucumber rolls, some yam rolls and others, this sushi was so fresh, made well and overall sooooo yummy! 😋 the atmosphere was pretty nice and cute, and the staff was sweet and very very friendly. Overall - an incredible experience!! We would definitely come again!!!“

His prices are extremely affordable, a large menu from which to choose from and he provides excellent service to you either as you wait or for carryout.

“wow, today was my first time here and it was so good! i’d been curious about this place for awhile and finally came here with my BF. the bowls are very customizable, and if you don’t know exactly what to get, there is a few options of specific bowls with pre decided ingredients. it was $37 for me and my bf, which is a little pricy, but the serving was enough for two meals so it was worth it. honestly i wouldn’t mind if there was a smaller option especially since this type of food doesn’t last very long! i’ll definitely be coming back, but ill make sure to have an empty stomach beforehand,“

“Ordered Uber Eats from Wasabi right before closing and had to shout out how kind and thoughtful they were. I noted that I can’t have gluten, and instead of guessing, they actually called me twice to walk through the menu and make sure everything was truly safe.

They swapped items where needed, clearly explained sauces, and even included a handwritten note apologizing for the inconvenience (which was honestly no inconvenience at all). David, the server listed on my receipt, went above and beyond.

This level of care and communication is rare, especially that late at night. Food was great, but the service is what really stood out. Will absolutely order again.“

“I came to Umai Café in Troy for my birthday because I really wanted to try their soufflé pancakes — and they did not disappoint! They were light, fluffy, and absolutely delicious. We also tried the sando, which was just as good — flavorful and satisfying.

The café itself has such a cozy, welcoming vibe, and the staff were very kind. The only small hiccup was that the posted hours said they open at 11:30, but they didn’t open until 12:00, so keep that in mind if you’re planning an early visit.

Overall, it was a wonderful birthday treat, and I’ll definitely be back to try more from their menu!“

“Sushi, sushi and let me say it again SUSHI! Treat yourself to Hi Sushi anytime, but consider trying it during their lunch specials, less than $11 for two sushi rolls!?! Wait and even better the lunch specials run on Saturdays!?! Recommendation: Please call & visit their website for the specific times and days the lunch specials are offered because the menu could be changed. The Sushi was so tasty, that I had it for dinner! On the second occasion, I went inside and the staff was friendly. Cannot wait to dine in next time because the atmosphere was inviting. Recommendation: Deep Fried Spicy California Roll and California Roll, both were equally delicious! If you want a bomb of flavor on your tongue, make sure to dab a little wasabi and ginger slice too.
