“The Tuesday half price Sushi special lured us in and Nara did not disappoint! The Sushi rolls were very tasty, especially the Nara 101. The service was good, but we didn't require much attention and the lounge area was not too busy when we were there. The other times we have gone to Nara were on the weekends, and it was a much different atmosphere (more quiet and relaxed) on Tuesday. We are looking forward to stopping in for the Wednesday or Thursday night specials sometime soon! The reason for the 4 star rather than 5 star rating is due to the automatic tip being added to the bill. Yes, they tell you on the website that they calculate the tip based on the regular menu prices, but they do not tell you that it is 20% or automatically added. I would probably tip that amount anyway, for exceptional service, but I don't think Nara needs to make that decision for me.“

“This is a family owned restaurant and our experience was wonderful. We were greeted and seated simultaneously and expeditiously. The young male server was very attentive and answered any and all our questions-and I had a lot of them. I also didn’t know the sushi role I got was uncooked, they were happy to replace it with something more satisfactory. It was my first time trying dumplings and OMG it was a 10/10!!!! I DEFINITELY will come again!!“

“I have been coming here for at least a decade. It's one of the best sushi places in SE Michigan. Great for dates or business entertaining.

Parking: Next to a massive city lot. So unless it's a festival in town your set.

Wheelchair accessibility: Flat one floor so zero issues for handicapped persons. They have booths and tables. Bathroom was handicap accessible last I checked.“

“Doordashed New York Sushi tonight. Philadelphia roll was meh, sort of room temperature and slightly soggy and slimey. Not great. Vegas roll however was fried goodness. Loved the coating, loved the crunch, loved the flavors, loved the jalepeno. The smell of the ginger was fantastic. The rice was cooked well and not hard. Philadelphia roll tasted like they got some lox from the bagel house and put them with a slimey avocado and everything sat on the counter too long. Hope I don't get sick.“

“Today was my first time eating there and it was so worth it. Let’s start with as soon as you enter you are GREETED and where I’m spending my money I LOVES to be spoken too properly😂. Not only did they speak but all three of the cashier’s were extremely personable. The establishment maybe small but very cozy and clean and I really loved that. Now the star of this review is the food and all of my food came out hot, timely and VERY tasty. Shot out to Lay and her coworkers who made my experience entertaining also. “I arrived on an early Friday night. It was busy. I was seated and I didn’t get a menu until 15 minutes later. After I placed my order, it arrived fairly quickly. I ate the Firecracker roll and the Shoyu Ramen.

I personally don’t like sushi but the firecracker was AMAZING. I’m definitely coming back only for this dish.

Shoyu ramen was 1/10. Don’t bother.

The decor is pretty out dated. The place is wheelchair assessable. There is a parking garage right across this restaurant. There are a few parking spots outside but they were taken up at the time of visit.“

“I was quite surprised by the price and quality of the food. I’m no stranger to Korean food as my wife is from there and has become a staple in our house. The Japanese offerings are quite tasty too. The tuna & salmon sushi we tried was quite fresh was served at near room temperature which is difficult to master. Their main menu provided a wide selection of food including a smaller Korean selection. You can ask for Korean specific menu. I was excited to try their Gam Ja Tung, which is a potatoes & pork stew. It’s a difficult dish to find. While I only tried that, and a fried pork (Sul la tang), and a scattering of side dishes (ban chan) I was delighted on the freshness and taste. It’s my opinion that I consider this authentic Korea-lite. It’s certainly not an Americanized version, but rather a toned down alternative. In short this place is worth a go.“

“I came to Michigan from NC to have a mini vacation with friends. We made plans to come here and had been looking forward to it for months. IT WAS SO AMAZING. We had one of the original Cloud Cakes (dressed up with Nutella and berries) a key lime cheesecake, and a dulce de leche cheesecake. Everything was phenomenal.
