Today I bought Jonagold, honeycrisp, gala, Northern spy, and ambrosia varieties. This is such a fantastic little market. They also have an abundance of freshly baked pies, cookies... And a full bakery! Great place to buy a hostess gift that is thoughtful and delicious all while supporting an amazing local business.“
“My husband and I just got married at the end of September. He's Italian and his family comes here for many desserts and pastries. When I was considering who to go through for our wedding cake, Mannino's was the obvious choice! I don't have very many photos since we are still waiting to get them back from the photographer. We ordered a small, 1-tier cake just for my husband and I to eat, and 170 cannoli for the rest of our wedding guests. We had half with chocolate chips, and half with nuts. They were a big hit and all of our Italian family members loved them! Our cake was delicious as well, and Lisa was very accommodating while we tried to figure out what flavor and fillings we wanted.“

“After our visit, we definitely will have to come back because the food, service, and ambiance were on point. The staff was uber friendly and knowledgeable. They did not have creamer in the condiment station (red flag for me; I don't do mini moos). However, they offered to pour in real half and half for me, that they store behind the counter. The coffee was delicious, strong, and fresh.We had sugar cookies and baklava. Wonderful. The bakery cases were massive and large selection. The staff greeted us from the kitchen and walked towards the counter to help us.The seating is limited, but we were able to relax in the cozy sitting area with fireplace. Lots of light; bright, and vibrant colors.They offer ice cream too.Overall, excellent.“

“The only time I'm able to come is in the afternoon, but for awhile I stopped coming because the environment has felt unwelcoming and honestly I got mean girl vibes. I've been coming back consistently over the past few months and I can say the environment is a whole lot better. The staff seem happier, they have, fun, and they are so professional for their age it's insane. There is a manager named Tess that has interacted with her staff in a way that I wished a manager has treated my kids when they were in high school. She teaches without judgement, she listens, and every time I come she's helping and always moving. I really believe that the change in environment is because of her. Great hire Crumbl! The leadership has truly made a difference in this place.“

“I can get my carb overload on, with my perfect pretzel. Annie's pretzels are my greatest indulgence! If I'm at Lakeside Mall I cannot avoid stopping for my comfort food. To me there is something about Annie's pretzels that hit the spot as opposed to the kind you get at movie theaters. AMC and MJR movie theater's pretzels have tasted stale each time I get one. Not to mention I always have to scrape off all the salt and then try dipping it in a spicy cheese dip that was meant for nachos, no fair! Any mall I've been to that has an Annie's in it was consistent with my tasty pretzel. I know that malls have other comparable good tasting varieties in pretzel stands but I'm stuck on Annie's. I usually like to order the original unsalted pretzel or the pretzel sticks (perfect for dipping) with cheese dip, and old fashioned lemonade. A typical combo will cost $4.45. I also recommend the cinnamon sugar pretzel sticks. They are delicious especially if you have a sweet tooth. There are also choices in dipping sauces so your not limited to cheese. They have sweet mustard, caramel, cream cheese, hot salsa cheese and much more to choose from but I don't stray from plain ol' cheese! Of course you also have varieties in pretzels like Jalapeno, garlic, sour cream and onion, pretzel dogs just to name a few. I stick with cinnamon sugar or plain but I'm sure everything else would taste as consistently good!“

“I was hungry after a doctors appointment and also needed sauerkraut and rye bread for reubens.It's a small Polish bakery and bistro adjacent to Srodeks. They also carry small amounts of groceries that are priced very reasonably, similar to what you would pay at the larger shops in Hamtramck and Polish Market.I love their hot pork sandwich. Pork pounded flat, lightly breaded and topped with lettuce, tomato, pickle and some sort of spicy sauce. I thought it tasted a bit salty during this visit.They also have excellent rye bread that is imported from Canada twice a week, so call ahead to plan your visit.“

“It's hard to find baklava at a bakery! I didn't know.I had to drive about 15 miles to get here.The baklava I saw wasn't square like I wanted. But the kind woman said I have square baklava ! One minute while I get it.She came out with 2 big pans of fleshly made baklava!!! There were many, many, things here. I ordered 12 pieces of baklava and it was only 20.00! In the grocery store they don't have square, and it's prepackaged, not freshly made, for 14.00!!I am so very satisfied with the service, the variety, and the price!!! You're the best!! ?“
“Locally owned fruit market. I shop here for the produce and the bread (if you want there fresh baked bread, get there before 4pm!). The fruits taste so much more flavorful than anything you can find at the fruit market. My husband and I won't buy fruit from any where else now! All the employees I have met have been very kind and helpful (and always greet my touch everything toddlers with patience and a smile ?). The store is always clean and smells delicious.
