“We had a fantastic time at this spot – the service, food, and drinks were all top-notch! We really enjoyed our cider and wine flight during our visit to the old state hospital. For food, we tried some delicious small plates, including the Whitefish Pate and the Charcuterie Board. It was hard to pick a favorite cider, but Cinnamon Girl and Tepache were both incredible and truly tasted like autumn. We even left with a growler of each!“

“My husband and I both enjoy Indian food. This is hands down the BEST Indian food we’ve ever had! I had Daal Tadka and my husband had Daal Madkani. We also shared garlic naan. The ambience is modern with of course an Indian vibe. The aromas walking in were very enticing yet not over powering. They have a large variety of food. Plenty of vegetarian options which I was pleased with. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Service was timely yet not constantly interrupting. The chef brings the food to your table which was a lovely touch. I’m addition to the food being delicious, it’s very generous portions. We both had plenty left over to take home. Highly recommend this gem when you’re in Traverse City. We will likely visit it again before we head home next week!“

“My Mom had the chili & black bean burger. She loved both! I had the French dip and I was great- the chips seemed homemade. A very quaint space too, but small so while we only waited about ten minutes, I would recommend reservations. Though there is plenty of shopping to keep you busy should you need to wait longer.“

“Earthen Ales is a pleasant place to enjoy a beer. I stopped by to try a flight of beers and really enjoyed their darker ales. It feels pretty casual and welcoming, and I like how it’s kind of hidden away back there. I’ll have to look out for their beers in my neck of the woods.“

“Pizza is awesome and the garlic cheese bread sticks were great. The big pretzel is huge and takes up a medium size pizza box. I’m not a drinker but they have a huge selection of different drinks. They have lots of pinball machines and the kids love it. Very family friendly.“

“In a word WONDERFUL. We came upon Brengman on a whim and a sign as we were heading to Mission wineries and stayed. After a less than stellar wine experience at a winery that shall not be named, we fell upon Brengman. We spent some time with Ben, who was engaging and knowledgeable. We tried an assortment of whites and reds and fell in love with the Chardonnay Cement and Right Bank red. We left with bottles of both and a new wine club membership…. Worth the stop….“

“Stopped in for a quick beer. The IPA on tap was good but they have a small line up of beers for how big a space it is. Inside nice concrete floor. Forward thinking bathrooms for men to change babies was a great touch. Has an outdoor patio area that looked like it could use a little tlc though...there was a surprising amount of space inside but I think it could be better spaced as the hightop tables seemed congested to me. Simple fixes. Just takes effort.“

“East Bay Pizza in Traverse City is hands down 5/5! The pizza didn’t even stand a chance—we devoured it so fast I didn’t have time to take a picture. “Didn't eat, just had a hot Macha. Warmly received and quickly taken care of. Pretty good volume of people present for a mid Wednesday morning. Personally I'd prefer more smaller tables than the large community tables inside, but that's just me. Love the outdoor space but it was too cold to use this visit. Very cool building and love the parking lot not being dirt or paved but a gravel infilled grid. Looking forward to going back to try more things.“

“I visit TC every summer while on leave from the Army and this spot has always been my go to for ice cream. Today I stopped in to grab a treat and was offered samples of the brisket and ribs. I ended up bringing home a slab of ribs and a pound of brisket and both were a big hit with my family. The brisket is honestly one of the best I’ve ever had. Thanks again for the samples and I will be back!“

“A local told us we needed to visit here while in town and we are SO glad we came. If you are a fan of sour beers, they have a great Jolly Pumpkin brand selection.

The vibe of this building is second to none. Spooky yet cozy at the same time. Service was top tier. Our server, Penashe, was always on time and personable. She helped curate the Jolly Pumpkin experience.

We got truffle fires as an appetizer and they were some of the best truffle fries I’ve had. Fresh, truffle, Parmesan cheese coated goodness. The pepperoni pizza we got was AMAZING. I love good pizza, and this was GOOD pizza. Crust was perfect, dough was house made, perfect ration of pepperoni. We finished our meal off with the Pumpkin Cake and it was 10/10.

Overall, this place is a local legend. If you’re in the area, you MUST come here.“
