“Visited for the first time during Restaurant Week and had an amazing experience. Our waiter Jim was very charming and attentive, making my friend and I feel very relaxed and welcome as each course was served. I chose to add the optional wine pairing and my friend enjoyed their Lady Lavender cocktail which I tried a little sample of. Our drinks were delicious, the wines complementing each dish perfectly. We learned Jim is also the sommelier and curated the wine selections for the menu. He definitely did an excellent job. I started the meal with the Octopus that was cooked perfectly, very tender which can be tricky. She had the Lamb Arancini and joked it would difficult to eat regular meatballs again. We both had the Morel Bisque and raved about the creaminess and how flavorful it was. Entree for me was the Scallops, again cooked perfectly and the Lobster Risotto was amazing. I savored every bite, wishing I could have another serving of the risotto. She tried the Veal Osso Bucco and commented how it was the best way to try a dish for the first time. She even had a bonus taste of bone marrow. The only miss in our main dishes was the Blue Cheese Polenta. Her Lemon Blueberry Butter Cake and my Creme Brulee were the perfect ending to our experience, both just enough to satisfy our sweet tooth. We both plan to visit again and try their regular menu and will be recommending our friends give this gem a try.“
“Maxbauer's Meats made our church's event perfect! I sent a FB message on Overheard in Traverse City looking for smoked meats for our event and Jordan responded. Each of my questions were answered promptly, he gave me a quote and ended with an even better price. The smoked pulled pork and pork sirloin slices were fantastic! We had more than enough and the meat was delivered right on time and HOT, just like he said! Each time we've used Maxbauer's Meats, they have come through for us!“
“This restaurant was excellent. The service was very good. We started out with the shrimp and lobster bisque and it was exceptional. Their house specialty for a reason and my favorite part of the meal. Packed with flavor. For entree, I got the whitefish which was overall good and the side of mashed potatoes and green beans didn’t disappoint either. My colleague got the salmon which he enjoyed greatly. We will certainly come back.Update: We did come back and it was as good as ever! Got the scallops entree which tasted great and the smoked whitefish dip is excellent! Just a great overall flavor.“
“Absolutely fantastic food. Ordered the vegetable fried rice meal with hot tea and crab wontons, and a small vegetable egg drop soup. Crab wontons were delicious, warm melty center and crisp flavorful shell. They were so good I decided to add on some of the fried veggie spring rolls. Veggie egg drop soup was great, full of cabbage, carrots and egg— reminds me of the soup I loved as a kid from the Thai restaurant that used to be across from Meijer (then became Northpointe Motors). Fried rice was fantastic, loaded with fresh veggies. Since moving to Minnesota, I usually go to Hunan when I am home, but since they’re still carry out only I decided to finally give Thai Kitchen a try to have dine in and my goodness am I glad I did. Totally different flavor profile, so now I have two favorites in TC. ❤️ I’ll be back soon, with my local family so they can try it too!“
“Loved the food, it was super delish. We had salads, soup, and chicken tenders. My date had the Cranberry Aperol drink, which was tasty if a little sweet. The Gorgonzola-chive dressing is a hit, and the chicken tenders seemed hand breaded. My mom’s squash soup was super sweet, so if you like that, you’ll love it. She ended up adding salt for her taste. Our bartender/waitress seemed so out of it. It took forever for her to talk to us, couldn’t remember what we ordered (had to walk back to confirm three separate times) and brought the dressings for the salads to the wrong people by itself. It was not busy by any stretch. It made a delicious lunch off putting by making us uncomfortable in having to check and recheck the order. We got the flourless chocolate cake for dessert and it was… weird. So cold that you couldn’t spoon through the ganache on top. When the waitress dropped it off, she said “sorry, the whipped cream is dead.” Lol it was just kind of a weird experience.“
“Excellent food and service. Lobster Feast. All you can eat shrimp is awesome.Parking: There's Handicap spots and plenty of parking.Kid-friendliness: There's a menu for kids.Wheelchair accessibility: There's plenty of space for wheelchairs.“
“What a SURPRISE this restaurant is...tasty food, attentive service, and a piano player to boot. A very nice upscale restaurant attached to the Sorellina restaurant sharing a kitchen. Parking is scare. It is a must stop while in Traverse City, best place yet.“
“I went through the line to do a take outFirst time thereSo not sure if daytime takeout is different from evening takeout? One price for these different dinners. But good food. Many selections of buffet tablesParking: Lots of parking...as they are next to an old mall shop center“
“Super nice staff. Cold beer and great bar food. I had a chicken quesadilla that was tasty. My wife had the fish tacos and they were well cooked and tasty as well! There was nobody in there on a saturday night in the winter. So much better than most bar food in TC.“
“First off, the greeting at arrival is outstanding! We were welcomed at our table promptly and offered water and a drink option, we loved all the local selections. To say the meal was fabulous is an understatement! I highly recommend the scallops and risotto. Everything was just fantastic and the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. I can't wait for our next visit.“
