“Easter Sunday, landed here after trying Longhorn. We were all glad it worked out this way! It's a regular bar with plenty of TVs. There were some sports fans but it was not full and loud. It felt much more personal. Taya was a great server! The burgers, club sandwiches, tater tots and fries were very good. The onion rings were overdone but tasted fine. My drinks were not shy on the rum. They were out of desserts. We were full but some of us would have had a sweet just to top off the outing. I didn't see any regular height tables or chairs. I'd like to recommend that they add a regular height table or 2 for folks that need that accommodation. Thankfully, my elderly parents were able to sit in the high backed chairs that we exchanged from the bar. We really appreciate the experience and will be here again.“

“I went there for dinner today after a long week of work to start my birthday weekend! My birthday is tomorrow. I am handicapped and need a low table. The patio was the only low table. Next to a guy and his dog. There were 7 in all out there. It smelled like wet, nasty, dirty, need a bath, dog! I spent $42! On top of that, my waitress walked away after asking me if my Mahi Mahi tacos were made correctly and I said I clearly haven't bit into them yet, and after I asked her if she could smell wet dog. I never saw her again. Did I want another glass of wine? Was my food made correctly? I had to ask another waitress if she could grab my waitress and have her bring my bill and to go containers! Then my waitress comes and says I was just coming over. I said I never saw you since you brought my food! She again walked away! Niiiiiice customer service! Maybe she should think about another line of work! I have 38yrs of CSR experience! Maybe next time she will be worthy of a tip! She sure wasn't this time and I will not be going back to the non service dog patio or restaurant! Which is a shame as you make the Mahi Mahi tacos how I like, BJ's Brewhouse doesn't.“

They have a patio that we didn’t utilize but upon entering on a chilly day, was quite warm. We sat inside at a booth style table. Wasn’t a fan of the booth seat as it didn’t allow for me to sit straight, the back had an angle to it so I’d have to lean it back like fat Joe.

We went on a Saturday afternoon and they had specials which was a great surprise to us. I paid less than $14 for a chicken sandwich, fries, and a mimosa. So it was a good deal! I left feeling satisfied, just a tip to ask for extra napkins!“

“I have never been to this restaurant before. We stopped in for a quick dinner. First of all the customer service was outstanding! The waitress including the girls bringing out the food, we're awesome!! Every one of them had a smile on their face. No matter what anybody asked her for she was right on it. The food was delicious. “Anybody reading this, my mamaw was the barmaid there beginning in the 60s. Annie Ruth Ladd. They also lived above the bar for some time. My mother told me that she vividly remembers looking out the window and seeing the National guard going down Jefferson into Detroit. At that time, she was 9 years old. My mother grew up to work in the bar. Her name is Roseann or Rosie. I spent lots of my youth there, playing quarter machines. Rosie Also worked Square Deal. Y'all probably knew my papaw too his name was Jim Ray Boatwright and he was known in River Rouge as being one of the Town drunks lol God rest his soulCan't wait to stop in and reminisce!Also, if anybody knew my family or can share stories, please let me know. “We were supposed to celebrate my sons 21st birthday at at different establishment, but do to a technical computer error, that establishment was closed for the day. The Bierhaven was able to accommodate my large group at the last minute. The staff were great and professional and the food was amazing. After we left the restaurant, my son left cash, visa gift cards and other items behind. We didn’t realize we left these items behind. The Bierhaven found my son on Facebook and reached out to him to get these items back to him. Most places or people would have pocketed the cash and gift cards, but they didn’t. Thank you for having an honest staff crew. We appreciate it ❤️“

“This is our 2nd time here and we love it! We've been on a slow Sunday, and a busy Thursday evening. Two different experiences for sure, but each time the server was super personable and food was amazing.
The pizza is SO good! I'm from the east coast and it reminds me of pizza I had growing up...made by Italians! You can tell whoever created the menu loves food. The combinations of tastes in each dish are so satisfying and different from a lot of other places around. We definitely plan on returning a bunch!“

“Unfortunately, I had the steak chunk sandwich, on special....their name for it was a Cheesesteak sandwich...chunks of reheated old steak, with ample grizzle, without cheese...couldn't eat it...but the onion rings were great...used to love going there, but the food has dropped in quality...sad. Did get ample apologies from our waitress, and it's certainly not her fault...she did go inside, after seeing the mess on my plate...comped half the price, even with 3/4 left...oh well...thank you, I guess.“

I had to tack on, last minute, extra pizzas and pop because I had more show up than expected. The staff made it happen quickly, didn't miss a beat! They were very nice. Happy to help us. “This place is great. Order food ahead and pull through drive-through pick up or go in and grab. Food is same as dine in resturant but I swear costs less. Been probably 10 times and is always fast and good. We have had a couple problems with orders but the manager has gone above and beyond to make it right. Wish more places did business that way.“
