“Good enough food. Pricey but a lot of food so it averages out to fair value. Brussel sprouts were tasty but too crunchy. Wife thought they were too sweet. Ribs were very good. Didn't know you cooked your own steak. Not fond of that. Happy hour specials are a good deal but very limited selection.“

“The food is really good and the server we got was very attentive. Though when walking in several skimpy dressed hostesses and wait staff walked by us and didn't welcome us or even smile and say hello, we'll be right with you, etc.
I felt the atmosphere was nice but most of their staff seemed to be like I said before very skimpy dressed woman who didn't seem to want to be bothered. Maybe that's the atmosphere they are going for? I'm just glad we didn't get one of them as our server.“

With no way to catch the big game at home, CJ Mahoney's was the perfect destination. Nestled in a cozy booth, we had our own personal TV, the perfect setup for an immersive viewing experience.

We kicked off the game with a classic Supreme Pizza, a cheesy, saucy delight topped with a colorful array of ingredients. While she sipped on a couple of refreshing 7 and 7's, I opted for a crisp Diet Coke. Later, we indulged in a flavorful cheese Quesadilla, a cheesy, crispy treat that hit the spot.

Despite the packed house, the staff handled the crowd with impressive efficiency. They were friendly, attentive, and kept our drinks flowing.

CJ Mahoney's has become our go-to spot for game day. The combination of great food, friendly service, and a lively atmosphere makes it a winner in our book.“

“Took our first trip to this place just last night. Has a little bit of everything for those not looking to stay seated during dinner. Food took forever though and was decent. Waitress was a little lost with constantly asking our table of 6 what they ordered and whose drink went with whose order. Other than that the atmosphere was pretty cool. We played some cornhole, which was decently priced by the hour ($10). Plus they had classic arcade games, free to play like Ms Pac Man, Galaga, Frogger, and Donkey Kong along with 90’s classics like Mortal Kombat, NFL Blitz and House of the Dead. Plus over a dozen pinballs. Arcade area was a sight to see since most places now use carnival or ticket games. They also had a poker room which was full. Did not see any pool tables, darts or disc golf so not sure if those get removed during poker night. I’d consider coming back but not during their busier times. It was more than half capacity but id imagine an even further delay on food or your wait staff being really lost handling more than 20 orders at multiple tables. Either way I’d recommend it as long as you aren’t really hungry going in or don’t like huge crowds.“

Keno is coming soon. ? They have fish for Fridays. I’m hooked. ? I had the garden fresh pizza and it was fabulous. My girlfriend had the Guido burger and she said it was heaven. “I took my two son’s here today. My youngest has autism and others’ kindly describe him as “a handful.” Accurate. The server comes over and asks for our drinks. She brings them back and my son just throws the cup across the aisle. And then laughs. Autism is super fun like that. Lauren (the server) was super nice about the mess. Another female server cleaned up the milk. They were both very understanding and it helped so much - probably more than they realize! “Not really much of a sports bar person in the past, and I have lived in Royal Oak for years and just started coming here. The service is always really great, but because it’s so popular sometimes it can get very busy, it’s a great place to watch a Lions game hockey game, etc. The staff is always been extremely personable, and the owners are almost constantly there. Definitely a place that cares about the product they are putting out, The pizza and the cheese sticks are delicious. I will literally die if the cheese sticks ever go away. Definitely an old school bar where you can actually speak to people and meet new people pretty much at any age group. Definitely not the norm for downtown Royal Oak.. Some of the other reviews sound like they’re probably from people who aren’t used to being in public.. I would definitely recommend checking this place out.“
