Came home to find my hamburger had cheese on it and I couldn’t eat the tallow fries because they seem to have a coating! My family enjoyed their meals though and everything was really fresh!“

“Stopped into the Applebee’s in Belleville and had an outstanding experience thanks to John Z. behind the bar. From the moment I sat down, he was friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. He kept drinks flowing, made great recommendations, and made sure everything was perfect throughout my visit.

What really stood out was John’s professionalism and positive attitude. Even while handling multiple guests, he stayed engaged, efficient, and made everyone feel like a priority. It’s clear he takes pride in providing excellent service and creating a great atmosphere.

“Would love to give this place 5 stars because it is a cool, local, historical spot, and the food is usually always good! However, I've noticed since we've been coming here for the last year that the service is hit or miss - either great and attentive or the waitor doesn't clear the table/ not fully attentive - and it could be cleaner in some areas.

BUT! I would say it's mostly always worth the visit! They do have outdoor seating for the warm months, and during the winter they have a beautiful, cozy fireplace (darling on a snowy day dining with family/friends).

Be warned when eating here that the train comes through, and it can be loud. Precisely why it's called Sidetrack Bar and Grill! Some people may not like that, but many enjoy as it reminds those of the history of the location.

Fish tacos, the Shepard Pie, and so many of their sandwiches are delicious! Great tap beers and other cocktails (and mocktails) available!“

“Located at embassy suites at the lobby. I Was stranded due to the snow storm. While enjoying my complimentary drinks I wanted to grab some food to take to my room . Lots of choices in the menu. I decided the Nashville chicken sandwich , paid up charge for the garlic fries with aioli with a white claw. Definitely get the fries. The garlic parm fries with the aioli work real well it’s surprising the quality of food made at a hotel. The Nashville chicken sandwich was cooked well. The Nashville flavor comes as a rub, I would’ve preferred more of a saucy flavor but regardless quality wasn’t compromised. Would recommend. Price was around 28-29 for everything, reasonable for a meal at a hotel . They make food quick. Plenty of seats to eat“

“Just dined in and had Kelly as a server. She was very friendly and attentive and gave us excellent service. I would have given all five stars but it appeared our server was being bullied by the older Arabic waitress and that was sad to see. My husband and I were just looking around people watching and the older Arabic waitress yelled out who has that table and implied something was wrong when it wasn’t and had Kelly come over to check on us when she had been very attentive already. That lady seemed very rude but everything else was good!“
