“Just tried out this place. We were in a large group that ordered several types of chai and different food items, and everything was wow! Hands down, best chai I've had in Michigan. I especially liked the Karak Chai and Amore Chai, but all of the different chai varieties at the table were amazing. My family is South Asian so I grew up as a bit of a chai snob, but this place thoroughly impressed me. Their homemade paratha wraps and sandwiches were super yummy. Seating was ample, both indoors and outdoors, and the whole restaurant had a vibrant and chic vibe. Place was very clean. This is a family owned restaurant and the thing I thought was especially stand-out was that several of the family-members were there even though we went really late on a Sunday. Owners stopped by several times to make sure our group was happy. If your only experience with chai is at Starbucks or Biggby, I really recommend taking in Cups N Chai's extremely welcoming environment with your family or friends while broadening your horizons with one of their wonderful pots of chai.“

“I am a coffee enthusiast, who is getting a bit more into snob territory, and I have Hyperion to blame. I found Hyperion years ago by chance, and said “This is the best coffee I’ve ever had. I never even knew coffee could taste THIS good!” Now I’ve gone and bought coffee from several places, beans and drinks too. As I write this, I actually have 6 bags of various different coffee beans from places, each unique vendors… except for the two I got from Hyperion. I’ve yet to find ANYONE who has beaten them. Some have come close, some may have them beat in other ways. But ultimately, Hyperion makes THE best coffee I have ever had. I have tried to find someone who can best them and have not found them. I cannot recommend Hyperion enough. They ignited a passion for me, and continue to provide the utmost excellence in coffee. Oh, and they finally sold the banana guava beans! “This was phenomenal! The 2 of us tried a couple of things, their Adani Chai, and Shibam coffee. Both were out of this world, this might be the best Chai in Metro Detroit, and I've had hundreds of cups my many dozens of shops, and this really stood out above all others. The Shibam coffee was well spiced and truly a delight to drink! We also tried their Sabaya and Honeycomb, both were outstanding, the Sabaya was crispy, flaky, toasty with a beautiful honey drizzle after roasting, and the honeycomb was warm and creamy with a smooth and wonderful honey drizzle glaze that just added a depth that was incredibly happy-making! Not only do I highly recommend, if you miss this, you've missed some of the best Detroit has to offer!“

“I’ve never had Yemeni tea/pastry so I was excited to try this place. I ordered Adeni Chai and honeycomb bread. The tea was a bit sweet for my taste. I asked the barista to make it less sweeter for me and he modified without hesitation. I also tried honeycomb bread with honey on the side. The bread was a bit crunchy and delicious with cream cheese in the middle. I’m glad that i asked to put honey on the side so i could adjust the sweetness.

I liked the map decor on the wall and the place is spacious and clean. It’s a good place for a group gathering.“

“Really cute and stylish cafe. The owner is very sweet and takes pride in what she does. I've had the coffee, the smoothies, and some of the food, and it's all amazing. The music is great, and there is usually locally sourced artwork on the walls that changes frequently. I would love to see this cafe graduate to a bigger storefront someday so that they could display more local art. I've been here a handful of times since they opened very recently, and I look forward to coming back many more times. The smoothies are truly unbeatable! I'm excited to see what the owner does with the space as they settle in more.“

The only thing which was strange was they have a designated area for putting in shoes but nobody was using it all the people either had their shoes on, or else they were on floor everywhere people were sitting. I think the staff should enforce people to put their shoes in the designated area.“

“Stopped by to grab a drink and sweet to see how they compare with other tea/coffee shops I have been at. While I am not a big tea fan, I do like fruit teas with jellies as long as they fruit flavor is more powerful than the tea. The raspberry I had did that. The toffee blonde brownie was the best I ever had. Service was very friendly and quick. I wish it was closer to home since the sandwiches looked delicious.

Some parking, enough seating, and easy to get to from both Michigan Ave and Ford Rd. Will be back when in the area.“

“First of all the food and drinks are always amazing. I have yet to try something that I didn’t like. Secondly, the staff is always so kind and it’s such a large and welcoming space that you can sit and have a conversation with a friend or get some work done and not feel like you have to rush out to make room for others. It’s in a cute area too so you can walk to other small local shops and the library fairly conveniently. I love Bridge it’s exactly what I look for in a cafe.

“Whelp it's April! Which brings rain showers for Mayflowers. My grandies are great company and love to do my favorite thing: People Watch! After an hour of play time in the play area at Westland Mall, we stroll down here to have a snack and cool down. Besides coffee, The Daily Grind has a nice selection of snacks. Service is great as well! Takes a lot of patience to deal with the grandies (both very independent) paying separately ?Sidenote: This would be a great place to meet, if you need something notarized! “I've visited the drive-thru here a number of times and am always happy with the service. The baristas are really friendly. The drinks and food I've gotten have always been tasty. The line tends to move faster here than at other Starbucks locations I've been to. When you pay by card, they hand you a device that asks if you'd like to tip. Please tip!! If you're paying with cash, you can ask to put the tip into their tip jar, which may not be outside when the weather is bad.

Dietary restrictions: There aren't good options for food if you're eating gluten free. When I asked about gluten-free food options, I was told that only one item at Starbucks is considered gluten free: the marshmallow dream bar, which is basically a Rice Krispies treat.“
