Everybody is so friendly, Antonio M. waited on us last time, and he is an absolutely amazing staff member and has spot-on service. My beer was always cold and never ran out! “Chicken Bella and The Proper burger were both amazing. The Ahi Tuna is NOT worth $22, seeing as it's mainly just a cabbage salad, with like 7 pieces of tuna. Although, the dressing on it was great. Margaritas were okay. The host that took our drink order was very blah, wouldn't look at us, smile, asked drinks and walked away. We weren't sure if she was our waitress or not, she set waters down and just walked away, would have been nice to be told that she wasn't our server so we weren't confused. But also, not a huge deal. Server was awesome, super friendly, and quick with service but patient when we asked if we could take our time. They stayed on top of pre-bussing the table, which is always appreciated. Definitely will be back!“

“Last night my family and myself went to Grand Tavern for supper after a long day. Our waiter Xhorxh was absolutely amazing! Personally, I have dietary restrictions and explained to him that I am unable to have gluten, dairy, or egg. I had already pre-creeped the menu before arriving so I could find a meal that would be easy to hopefully adapt to my dietary restrictions. After explaining my restrictions Xhorxh was ON IT! He immediately spoke to the chef and the chef adapted my meal to my restrictions. Xhorxh did tell me that there could be a possible cross contamination with gluten on one of my sides and explained that they couldn’t guarantee that that one thing would be gluten free. Listen, not very often in the service industry do you come across a wait staff member or chef that made sure to cross all of the boxes. I ordered brussel sprouts as the appetizer without the cheese (I could have had three plates of that it was so good) and the cedar plank salmon and ordered two veggies as my side. IT was DELISH!!!!! Xhorxh also made sure that our drinks were constantly filled and took amazing care of our family. My MIL even made a comment after we received our meals how she really liked him as a waiter. I wished we had a Grand Tavern where we lived but unfortunately we are 8 hours away but we will absolutely be back when visiting family! ❤️“

“I wish I took a picture, but it wouldn’t have even been adequate to how good this place’s food is. Trent was our server and his taste in food was SPOT ON. Exactly what we were looking for. We ordered fried pickles, my husband had the truffle burger with truffle fries & I had the shrimp ravioli (suggested by Trent). Everything was delicious!! Birthday, Christmas, Work, Family reunions and game day parties can all be held here. The owner and staff are so nice and accommodating. The FOOD is AMAZING! We had over 75 guests at my husband birthday party and we served pizza, wings and appetizers. Everyone LOVED everything! Many compliments about the food from our family and friends! The food, staff, service and room we held his birthday party in exceeded all expeditions! Prices were very affordable. So many big screens tv’s! Great atmosphere for any occasion. We all had such a great time watching the game while celebrating my husband’s birthday! Most important, my husband had a great time!!

“Game Day at CJ Mahoney's
With no way to catch the big game at home, CJ Mahoney's was the perfect destination. Nestled in a cozy booth, we had our own personal TV, the perfect setup for an immersive viewing experience.

We kicked off the game with a classic Supreme Pizza, a cheesy, saucy delight topped with a colorful array of ingredients. While she sipped on a couple of refreshing 7 and 7's, I opted for a crisp Diet Coke. Later, we indulged in a flavorful cheese Quesadilla, a cheesy, crispy treat that hit the spot.

Despite the packed house, the staff handled the crowd with impressive efficiency. They were friendly, attentive, and kept our drinks flowing.

CJ Mahoney's has become our go-to spot for game day. The combination of great food, friendly service, and a lively atmosphere makes it a winner in our book.“

“Took our first trip to this place just last night. Has a little bit of everything for those not looking to stay seated during dinner. Food took forever though and was decent. Waitress was a little lost with constantly asking our table of 6 what they ordered and whose drink went with whose order. Other than that the atmosphere was pretty cool. We played some cornhole, which was decently priced by the hour ($10). Plus they had classic arcade games, free to play like Ms Pac Man, Galaga, Frogger, and Donkey Kong along with 90’s classics like Mortal Kombat, NFL Blitz and House of the Dead. Plus over a dozen pinballs. Arcade area was a sight to see since most places now use carnival or ticket games. They also had a poker room which was full. Did not see any pool tables, darts or disc golf so not sure if those get removed during poker night. I’d consider coming back but not during their busier times. It was more than half capacity but id imagine an even further delay on food or your wait staff being really lost handling more than 20 orders at multiple tables. Either way I’d recommend it as long as you aren’t really hungry going in or don’t like huge crowds.“

“This place is surprisingly good! I was impressed with my server Alicia, she did an outstanding service for me and my family. I was spectical at first ( being our first time). When my 5 year old spilled his water she was so fast to clean it up. i apologize so many times and she was just so sweet the whole time. ( tip her extra). “Stopped in after a long day on the road to meet a brother. Waiter was unlike anyone I had before. Great service, and the wings were very flavorful! I may next time ask to have them double dropped, but they were very good! Fries were not normal bar fries and good as well. Will definitely add as a ride stop and bring the family! Warm comfortable interior to play a game or bet on the lotto.
Don't be fooled by the plain appearance of the outside stop in for great food. Fish and Chips is the best and they have been know for it for decades. Also burgers are top notch. Prices are still reasonable.

“I really enjoy the Mug Pub. Almost all of their dishes are great, but since they reopened after the fire, the portion sizes have noticeably shrunk. It could be a combination of factors like COVID and inflation, but it’s definitely something to note. They have a new dish called the hamburger steak, which is excellent—just watch out for the onions! I’m also a big fan of their wings. The drinks and atmosphere are very nice, and they have a lovely outdoor patio. It’s a great neighborhood bar with a decent menu, and the drinks are solid as well. The staff has always been nice and pleasant. There are tons of TVs for watching games, etc. For what it is, the food is generally above average, though a bit pricey for what you get. That said, I’d still recommend it.“

“I took my two son’s here today. My youngest has autism and others’ kindly describe him as “a handful.” Accurate. The server comes over and asks for our drinks. She brings them back and my son just throws the cup across the aisle. And then laughs. Autism is super fun like that. Lauren (the server) was super nice about the mess. Another female server cleaned up the milk. They were both very understanding and it helped so much - probably more than they realize! I tipped them both but I hope a manager sees this, because, they are awesome employees!! You’re lucky to have them!“

“The bbq chicken bowl is incredible!!! The wife and I were floored! An absolute must try when you come. They should absolutely keep it on their menu full time! The only thing that keeps us coming back. Our server, a young lively blonde with a hint of a southern accent provided service better than we’ve had in years. I believe her name was Bella.
