“I met up with my family at On the Rocks for Tuesday $1.00 burger night and the food was very good. They have awesome fried rice there too. Everyone in our party really enjoyed the food. The staff was great. They genuinely cared about the service they were delivering. We will definitely be going back there again!“

“Great food and service. Loved our dinner. Awesome atmosphere“
“Great place to drink. Though there is no food, Captains and other bars nearby have a good variety of food. The prices on drinks are quite reasonable, especially during happy hour. One thing to keep in mind is that there is not a lot of space and the restrooms are not too convenient.Overall, this place has great prices on drinks and may be a decent place to go to before heading to a nearby bar with food.“

“A very popular neighborhood bar with good food. Their Friday fish fry, offered year round, makes this a very crowded place on Friday.
July 2024 Update:
Came for the perch and Prush's did not disappoint. We split the one and a half plate and still took food home. My wife had the chicken dumpling soup and it was special.“

“Been coming here since I was 21 with a 10yeqr gap in my mid 20’s to mid 30’s. Even when they’re packed we have good service. TV’s everywhere so every seat has a good view of whatever game is on. And they have touch tones so you control the music when there isn’t a game. Pleasant and attentive staff. Great beer selection and it’s always fresh. Just wish there were a few more healthy food selections. Even so everything is tasty. Chili is definitely some of the best restaurant chili available and in the fall they have rotating soups.“

“Great environment for a game or if you're a sports fan. Staff is usually pretty personable but can be very overwhelmed. Especially on a game day. It just seems it may be time for hiring. Maybe time to expand operations.
The burger was delicious. And the jalapeño poppers taste fresh. My advice would be hire some wait staff. At least part time for game days“

“Wow, what a great experience we had at Eastwood Grille last night! We were a large table of 24 guests, and we were served by our waitress Tiffany with such prompt and courteous service, everyone at our table raved about it all night. We were never without drinks, our food came out piping hot with very generous proportions and great prices. Tiffany had us in and out , with bellies full in 1 1/2 hrs. Shout out to the chefs and to Wendi who also came to check on us through out our dinner. Would definately recommend this restaurant, we'll definately be back!“

“If you’re anywhere near Detroit—or, honestly, even across the border in Canada (yes, you Windsor folks!)—do yourself a favor and make your way to Eastern Market Brewing Company. Nestled right in the heart of the historic Eastern Market district, just a stone’s throw from the Detroit River and a hop across the Ambassador Bridge from Canada, this place is an absolute gem that radiates Midwestern soul.
I visited with my lovely wife Melanie and my always-up-for-a-good-time in-laws, and let me tell you, from the moment we stepped into the brewery, we were greeted with that unmistakable Midwestern charm. The staff? Friendly like they’ve known you for years. The patrons? Just as welcoming. We shared laughs, recommendations, and even some bench space.
Speaking of sharing — we sat outside and ended up sharing a table with a delightful local couple and their young kid, who was full of energy and joy, bouncing up and down on the bench like a little piston engine. You’d think that would be distracting, but honestly, it added to the warmth and life of the experience. It was like being folded into a living postcard of Detroit hospitality.
Now, I never tip. Like, ever. But the service here? So exceptional, so genuinely warm and attentive, that I found myself enthusiastically leaving an 18% tip. That might not sound like much to some, but for me? That’s basically a standing ovation.
Let’s talk about the restrooms. And believe me, we need to talk about the restrooms. Spotless. Gleaming. Like the kind of clean you see in sci-fi movies where robots do all the cleaning. I went in twice and came back both times feeling like I had just walked through a showroom for premium tiles and top-tier janitorial diligence. Even my mother-in-law commented on it—and she never talks about restrooms.
Now to the beer—oh yes, the beer. We sampled a beautiful flight that included:
🍺 Jumbo Juice Hazy IPA – Bursting with tropical citrus and a velvety mouthfeel, this beer is like a Saturday at the lake house: relaxed, bright, and unapologetically satisfying.
🍺 313 IPA – Crisp, balanced, and bold, just like Detroit itself. This one is the IPA equivalent of a Michigan tailgate party: hearty, dependable, and unforgettable.
🍺 Pineapple Market Day (Session IPA) – Light, fruity, and full of zing—imagine the refreshing joy of biting into a perfectly chilled slice of watermelon at a Midwest county fair. Yes, that good.
We were surrounded by gorgeous murals painted on the buildings nearby—massive, colorful expressions of Detroit’s creative pulse. Every wall tells a story, and together they give the whole neighborhood the feeling of a living art gallery.
And before I forget—because this deserves its own paragraph—the shawarma. Oh. My. Goodness. We snagged it just around the corner in the Eastern Market and devoured it like we hadn’t eaten in days. Juicy, flavorful, with garlic sauce that dreams are made of. The wrap was perfectly crisp on the outside, tender on the inside—like the city of Detroit itself: tough where it counts, but full of heart.
So yes—Eastern Market Brewing Company delivered everything we hoped for and more. Fantastic beer, charming locals, unbeatable vibes, and restrooms that deserve their own Yelp page. I’d cross two borders for another visit.
Five stars aren’t enough. This place is a treasure.“

“This is a nice little neighborhood bar. While they do not serve any food, there is a good atmosphere and very reasonable drink prices. The place is definitely different than when I visited about 7 years ago. It's remodeled and much more modern. They don't seem to really "look the other way" on smoking anymore. Our waitress, Crystal (or Krystal), was very friendly and attentive as well. She wasted no time getting our drinks, but also talked with us and didn't seem like she was in a big rush.I liked the atmosphere of this place too. It's clean, the music is chill, and while there is seating at the bar, the other seating kind of reminds me of a little lounge.Overall, I enjoyed the experience at this place. And it was a much different experience than what it was years ago when I visited.“

“Great service. Great food. We had the sausage/cheese platter, and their pretzels. Pretty tolerant of two Kentucky boys who hit the beer pretty hard the two nights we dropped in. The place had a good crowd both nights. Nice little pub. If I'm ever up that way again, it'll be one of my first stops.“

“Step back in time—and don’t skip the rabbit stew 🐇🍞🕯️
Tucked inside the historic wonderland of Greenfield Village at the Henry Ford Museum, the Eagle Tavern is more than just a place to eat—it’s a full-on time travel experience.
From the moment you walk in, you feel like a weary 1800s traveler stopping in for a hot meal and a brief escape from the dusty trail. The staff is in period attire, the decor is candlelit and rustic, and even the menu sticks to the era—no fries or fountain drinks here.
We had the rabbit stew, which was hearty and slightly sweet—unexpected, but actually pretty good. The homemade breads and fresh-churned butter were fantastic, the kind of simple comfort food that makes you want to start a bread journal.
If you’re visiting the park, definitely stop in. It’s the kind of place that makes history feel alive—and delicious.“

“Biergarten is one of our favorite local places! This year they saved my fiancé’s 30th birthday when another local bar could no longer accommodate us last minute. I called the day before in a panic and the owner called her workers to come in a little early, helped me coordinate everything with food, and just went above and beyond to make sure everything was great. I couldn’t recommend them enough. Great people. Great place.“
“Clean, welcoming and cold beer. You could call it a hole in the wall, but it's more than that when you step inside. Your welcomed by everyone in the bar and you'll definitely feel at home after just a few minutes...few places like this place.“

“This is our go-to restaurant at the MGM Detroit and it served up another winner last week. It has been getting busy at times but the staff is always friendly and helpful and there is usually space at the bar. Food is solid and the games are always on TV. It’s a one stop shop before and after attending events downtown. We’ll keep going to TAP!!
Parking: Prime location right inside the casino close to the entrance / exit and conveniently near the Sportsbook“

The food was absolutely fantastic! We tried a couple of their signature pizzas, and they were bursting with flavor—perfectly crisp crust with fresh, unique toppings. Their beers were equally impressive, especially their artisan sour ales. You can really taste the care and craftsmanship that goes into every brew.“
