“Our server was very friendly and helpful without being intrusive. He did a great job. The food was very good, but don't trust that what is on their online menu is what will be on the menu when you arrive. My husband and I each had a dish in mind to order after looking at the website menu, and neither one was actually on the menu in the restaurant! I mentioned that to the server at the end of our meal, and it was clear from his response that it wasn't a concern for the restaurant to keep the website up to date. There are a few dessert options, even though those aren't on the website either.

That said, what we ended up ordering was satisfying, and I would go back for another date night. I am glad we had reservations for a Saturday evening as a couple groups walked in and were not able to be seated.“

“This restaurant is delicious I suggest trying the cinnamon toast with the strawberry jelly and the hash brown omelette. The sausage gravy breakfast bowl was good too.“

“I wanted to give this restaurant a five star review. But the hostess lost track of us and we ended up eating in the bar. My meal was very good although my wife’s salmon was not. Our waiter was excellent and checked on us all the time.
It’s a nice restaurant and a college town with a lot of different food to choose from. I would recommend you give it a try.“

“Stayed a night at the courtyard hotel and it was very convenient to grab a late night dinner. Service was fast and pleasant. Food was brought fast and it was good . We got to try two different chicken wings with sweet chili and house . Liked that both souses were not crazy spicy hot and you still could taste the chicken! Steak burger medium rare was just what I wanted.

“Ate here after checking in to our hotel room for the night. Pros and cons to having the restaurant adjacent to the pool, but we thought it was pretty entertaining! My partner is gluten-free and our server made sure he was taken care of, including having the kitchen remake his tacos after they accidentally came out in flour tortillas. “Very affordable and quaint place for a bite to eat or sit to chat up with friends or whatever. I did notice how clean and how organized the bathrooms are in the mornings. I've not really gone in the afternoons or nights but I appreciate the morning staff and how professional they are. Our server was amazingly professional and responsive too! I loved the service so much. The tables in the mornings are so clean, the salad and soup bar was nice and tidy with no crumbs or unclean utensils to serve. The atmosphere was okay. It's more so the other patrons in there that are a bunch of old folks that don't like talking that's too loud or kids. If you have kids or a large family, be aware that there's moving but old white Dutch people and they like their space and silence 🔕

Kid-friendliness: Not recommended to go during breakfast time if you have kids just because of the old folks and their whining

“Russ’s offers an American based restaurant with a Dutch spin to it. It’s been around for many years, and I have fond memories from both dining there and working there during my early college years. The food is very good value, salads are fresh however, they tend to be iceberg lettuce based. Desserts are fresh and made at their own facility. I recommend it as a novelty. It’s very popular with tourists to come to the area for a bit of a Dutch experience.“
