“GREAT burgers! I see why they had a 5 star rating. They said they just reopened 5 weeks ago after being covid shut down. the old place was 2-3 times bigger. only seated about 40 w the bar but no problem. That way they're always busy & doing well. I had the bourbonator, wife had the Crown & Anchor burger. both came w fries and pickle spear. The burgers were perfect, the toppings were phenomenal! We're very picky these days paying today's prices and they sure delivered! Our server was awesome! I asked for her recommendations and they were spot on. She was fun & checked on us just enough but not buggy. *****!“

“Shame the reviews are not 5/5 but clearly there’s spam in their reviews. It’s the best brewery in SW MI, GR not included. It’s an oasis in Holland. Good beer, excellent happy hour, atmosphere is authentic for a quality craft beer brewer. The staff are good, aim to please, bartenders are engaging. Food is well above average for brewery gastropub fare. Don’t hesitate to visit, even on a busy weekend. Grab a pint and mosey around.“

“Great place to grab some pizza and hangout. The wait time is usually longer than most pizza places, but it is definitely worth the wait. The service is always pretty good, and it’s nice to have the touch tunes to pick some songs while you wait. Favorite pizza joint in Holland by far!“

“So I always hate to leave bad staff reviews, but sometimes I have to tell it how it is. The staff was ok for bar staff, when they did come by or you get service it was ok. Getting service was tough, you would sit for a long time with no one coming by, and you will have to flag them down. The food that I ordered was forgotten, and I did have to say "hey were is my sandwich?" And my second drink. I got a friend "oh sorry" and such, and truthfully I'm ok with it I'm no Karen about that. Maybe management needs to hire more help, or help them with a bit more training/insight, but it is what it is for a hotel bar. The food selection is bleak at best, I have a feeling it's due to the kitchen equipment that is available. The worst part was the morning breakfast time, my wife went down at 6 minutes past when breakfast was done. Grabbed coffee and went to have grab a bagel that was still sitting there on the buffet, only to have a teenage boy yell at her to leave it, because breakfast was over. I get yes it was over, but it wasn't a special request, no prep needed, just a bagel in a plactic bin, but nope leave it lady.“

“stopped for dinner on our way home to NW OHIO. THE STEAK was absolutely the best meal while on vacation. Had great flavor and no fat. the baked potato and rolls were absolutely delicious. I highly recommend your restaurant to anyone nearby. Also asked for a menu to go. For a friend whose last name is Brann. Also the waitress was absolutely the best and friendly.“

“We recently dined at Public Restaurant and we were thoroughly impressed by several standout dishes and cocktails.
The Southern Shrimp Beignets were a delightful start to the meal. These savory beignets, complemented by hot honey, blue crab, and pimento cheese, offered a blend of flavors that set the tone for the evening.
The Public Prime Cheeseburger was a testament to classic comfort food done right. Served on a pretzel bun with a choice of cheese and accompanied by hand-cut fries, it was both satisfying and flavorful.
The Maple Basted Scottish Salmon was paired with butternut squash, whipped goat cheese, bacon-onion jam, and finished with maple brown butter, each bite was a delightful combination of sweet and savory.
The Midwest Wedge salad was refreshing and delightful. Topped with buttermilk ranch dressing, candied bacon, red onion, tomato, and crumbled bleu cheese, it provided a crisp and flavorful balance to the meal.
Public Restaurant is warm and inviting, making it a perfect spot for both casual and special occasions. The attentive service further enhanced the dining experience. The waitress came by to refill our waters several times throughout the service (even if they were slightly less full).
I highly recommend visiting Public Restaurant to savor these dishes and explore their diverse menu.“
