“Delicious Italian food on south beach. We ordered the brocollini, buratta, the mecchialina pasta and the gnocci. All was the food was excellent.We sat at on the patio which was recently opened and has a buz. I loved their jazzy hip hop playlist (Common, Jurassic 5, Dr Octagon, Pharcyde)We were initially a little disappointed after turning up early and still having to wait 30mins after our reservation time before getting a table. They clearly overcommited. Whilst apologetic they could have done more to make it right.”

“Ask me if you can go to a place with stone crab in its name and get great fried chicken! Answer yes! Joe's was crowded and hopping when we arrived at 5pm. Reservations mandatory if you do not want to wait. You are seated quickly though. Great bar area where you can wait before you are seated. Extensive menu, chicken, steaks and seafood. There are salads, crab bisque, conch fritters. Sides include asparagus and hash brown. Dessert included an awesome bread pudding and a great key lime pie. Parking is by valet or if you are lucky to find a spot across the street. Joe's is $$$$. Is it worth it? Yes! So, because we are friends, where can you get perfectly fried chicken, a half of chicken for $8.95? You can get crab claws in jumbo and medium, and you can also get King Crab legs. I say go give it a try...”

“We made a reservation for our Anniversary (24-02-18) after looking at some online reviews in the area we were staying in Miami. SO happy we chose here to celebrate our anniversary! The atmosphere was very inviting, busy yet flowing with a full dining room. Our waiter Andreu was very welcoming asking us if we were there for a special occasion. With our anniversary he provided us each with a glass of champagne! He explained the dinner specials and even brought us a taste of one of the appetizers called Fiocchi Rapers – filled pasta with cheese and pear, with crispy prosciutto and creamy truffle sauce. So delicious! We decided on 2 entrees, the Lasagna Bolognese, and the Crab Ravioli. Absolutely, hands down, some of the best pasta dishes we’ve ever eaten!”

“Very good food. Lovely and pleasant service. We had the Mahi tacos (server warns they are small but I found them perfect for lunch) and a triple decker version of the Cuban. My only complaint was the temperature inside, probably less stuffy under the street canopy with the nice fans out there. Great place and some history for the buff in your group.”

The crust was thin and crispy, but not drenched from the tomato sauce and vegetables. The cheese felt light and creamy, but not too heavy. It was a new take on a pizza, that we had never seen before.The place is a little hidden and not very spacious, but it has its charm. Our waitress was great. I would definitely recommend!”

“Absolutely wonderful! I'm trying to convince my husband to go back tonight, our last night in Miami. There is nothing I didn't love about this restaurant. The atmosphere was like being in my Nana's home. Sure, it's tight on space, but so was Nana's kitchen. And it was packed on a Monday night, a generally slow night for restaurants. Our server, Tomas was a pleasure to work with. Attentive, but not bothersome. He offered suggestions without pressure that we felt at another Italian restaurant nearby. We shared an excellent Caesar salad with anchovies to start. So good! Next, I ordered the Tagliatelle Alla Bolognese, which was heavenly. My husband had Pappardelle Al Ragú Di Agnello, which he thoroughly enjoyed. I didn't get to taste it because I wouldn't share mine. Fair is fair, I suppose. Tomas paired our meal with a wonderful Primitivo Puglia that was perfect. Then he suggested dessert, and although I was stuffed, we shared a cannoli. It was delicious also, but I really didn't need it. The surprise limoncello, on the house, was a perfect ending to a perfect meal! An aside? Watching the pasta being made in the front window was a bonus. I learned some things I'll use at home!”

My wife really likes the Chicken Wrap, and I like the Whopper Combo. A criticism of BK in general, not this location; I yearn for the old days when burgers were hot off the broiler instead of luke warm from a bin. All in all, a good place for an affordable meal in South Beach; some other reviews are too harsh imho.”

“Faux-makase! (Fake omakase) is exactly what it is. Self proclaimed “non traditional omakase.” Also know as slow-makase. Nossa deserves a noose-a. I was recommended this restaurant by my hotel concierge. Had a horrible experience here. Should have known since they require pre-payment online via tock which actually codes as professional services and not a restaurant so they avoid the credit card fees. By the way, they will ask you to pay a ridiculous and mandatory 20% service charge plus tax after your “meal.” After payment, you will receive an email which says “The day of your reservation you will receive an email with instructions to access to the speakeasy bar.” However, I never received any email. I put nossa into google and it took me to the filthy, run down Hyatt centric hotel. I went inside and asked where the restaurant was and they took me through a stinky alley next to the hotel trash room said to knock the door. This made me extremely uncomfortable and almost decided to just leave. Little did I know the horror I was about to experience. I knocked the door and a lady asked for the password so I gave my last name on the reservation. She didn’t open and kept asking for a password. I demanded she open the door and gave my last name on the reservation. She said I should have received instructions on a paper from another restaurant on the other side of the street which I was not informed of. She said I was late and that they already started so she showed me to my seat. The room felt like a sewer with too many people crammed around a dirty scratched up bar. I was in group 11 which means there were at least 20 guests there. The music was horrendous and unbearable. The ambiance was very creepy. The staff smelled really bad. I was offered a welcome drink which I opted for a sparking water which was not sparking at all as it was flat without bubbles so they brought me a bottle instead. They didn’t ask about any allergies and handed me the first course which I had to spit out because it contained alcohol which I don’t drink. The chef kept inaudibly shouting out the descriptions of the dishes for each course towards different corners of the room in an attempt for everyone to hear but you only hear and understand the words which were said in your direction. All the ingredients were old and not fresh. The food did not taste good. The portions were tiny so don’t think you’ll be full when you leave here by any means. The place is extremely unsanitary. The chef even wipes your plates using the same towel as the previous groups one after another. I was absolutely disgusted. Finally the last course came and again I was served alcohol without being told what it was. Luckily the chef caught it before I could drink it and replaced it with iced tea. I asked if we’re were finished and she said yes. The experience was a complete waste of time so we were happy to walk out and leave. The lady chased us on our way out and said there was an additional payment to be made for gratuity and tax. I asked if this was mandatory and she answered yes. We weren’t that hungry so we ordered the Caesar Salad and the Cuban sampler to share. The portions were more than generous and the food was absolutely delicious. I 100% recommend the Cuban Sampler - the pork bites were extremely tender and had tremendous flavor and the yuca fries were also very delicious. The tostones were a little greasy for me but still tasted fine and had good texture. The Caesar salad came on a huge plate and in my opinion was large enough to feed 3-4 people. Laturo our server was excellent and very personable. He joked around with us and was very accommodating to the requests we made. All the other staff were great to and took pictures of us when we requested. My only complaints are minor: the price of cocktails (essentially $20 each for what is basically a rail drink - but it’s a popular restaurant at the beach so I guess that’s pretty normal) and the fact that they add 20% tip without mentioning it (it is printed on the menu and I can understand that, but would have been nice to be told upfront just in case). Even with that small amount of criticism, we bth truly enjoyed the experience, the atmosphere and the the food. 11 out of 10. Would absolutely recommend to anyone visiting the beach who wants to get a nice well made meal!”

Advice: make reservations and if you choose to sit outside it may be an extra wait as it's by availability, seems like everyone loves the outdoor seatimg... but lovely... you can walk to the pier and back while you wait.
