“Smokestack Express is hands-down one of the best BBQ experiences I’ve ever had. The smoked brisket was truly the best I’ve had in my entire life—perfectly tender, flavorful, and packed with that amazing smoky depth you only get from people who really know what they’re doing. The macaroni and cheese was incredibly creamy and cheesy, and the cornbread muffin paired with it was spot-on. The location is great, the atmosphere feels welcoming, and the service was outstanding from start to finish. You can tell they genuinely care about the food and their guests. When it comes to the food - it was good but not what I describe as Texas bbq. The sides are not your traditional Texas bbq fare - so I chose what seemed to be ranch potato salad and a cold corn salad of some sort. The potato salad was good - the potatoes were soft and it was creamy, the corn was also good- it had more of a TexMex feel.

For the pulled pork - the flavor was good - the smoke flavor is natural, which I appreciate bc so many places use liquid smoke, which I don’t like. However it was dry, and the bbq sauce was thin and leaned more toward a spiced ketchup taste rather than bbq sauce.

Overall, if you’re just looking for some standard bbq, it’s a good place to stop by but it’s not going to satisfy your craving if you’re a Texas boy or girl looking for a taste of home.“
