“Reliable place for Greek-Mediterranean food. My family and I visit here at least twice a month when I don’t want to cook. Order online or drop by — food is prepared quickly and is fresh. I like that I can get a quick meal that’s vegetarian with lots of options for veggie and my family can get the meat they want. I know the menu by heart. They’re pretty good about making substitutions if you need. There are better Greek restaurants in the Twin Cities, but at this price point and for the convenience, Falafel King is one of the best choices. Save some money and drink water. Dining in is ok, but not exactly anniversary dinner type atmosphere. Staff is always friendly at Bloomington location.“

“This place is nothing short of amazing! From the food to the fantastic customer service and is truly a hidden gem that needs more recognition. They really put the city of Bloomington on the map with there flavorful Gyros and there newest addition to the menu the viral Dubai Chocolate bars and Dubai chocolate strawberry cups! I have tried many places so far in search of the best Dubai Chocolate sensations and they have my #1 pick! The Strawberry Chocolate cups are made to order and definitely worth the wait! The place is comfy and gives off a very cozy vibe while staying true to their culture and what they provide. They have a forever customer out of me and I will keep coming back! “Order to go or order for here and they will bring it to you. The outdoor seating is nice but a bit loud with the hospital nearby. They have a handicapped accessible entrance. Enter and walk to your left. Sanitize your hands. Figure out what you want and then step up to the counter.
Baklava: Great. Dairy free. Walnut paradise.
Samosa: We got the Veggie and Beef. The picture doesn't do it justice. It's delicious.
Chicken shawarma: make it dairy free by removing the oasis sauce and adding hummus. The hot sauce is palatable fire“

“After exploring the sculpture garden, Loring park and the walker art center. We decided to stop for lunch at Cardamom.
I had the pistachio latte and beet salad and my daughter had the marscapone pistachio French toast with a Shirley temple and we both loved our lunch and the lovely atmosphere.
It did take a bit to get service once seated but we did not mind as the restaurant was relaxing and surroundings were beautiful to look at. Would definitely recommend and stop in again if we are ever in the area“

“My friend and I were lucky enough to enjoy the Chef's tasting last night at Mara; what a fabulous time we had. The food was spectacular, the wine pairings were ON POINT, and the best part was the service. From the hostess who seated us all the way thru, we were treated to DELIGHTFUL personalities and kindness. Our server, Corinn (sorry about the spelling), was so knowledgeable and fun and her assistant Elizabeth was as well. the chefs all were so good at explaing the ingredients and techniques and just made great conversations. We commented to each other many times how wonderful everyone was, which elevated the entire experience. Bravo and High Fives all around! I certainly hope to return.“

“Cute little place hidden on the skyway level. Dry rub chicken wings were awesome! Crispy! Gyro pinwheels were also quite delicious. Service was efficient, not overly friendly but they were also very busy so maybe that was the reason. Sat at the bar. Definitely recommend if you are looking for a place to meet friends for drinks and food. Good volume for talking.“

“Very disappointed! For the first time I placed an order online for a delivery at this restaurant. I ordered Grape leaves, The Lamb Experience, Filet Mignon Kabob skewer, extra dinner salad, extra order of rice, extra pita bread and some additional items. Food arrived on time, but barely warm and with some missing items. All extras that I ordered and paid for were missing. That didn't upset me as much as, when I called them to let them know, I was missing items, I got an answering machine, so I left a message. A few hours later, I called again and left another message. So, since Tuesday, I am still waiting for a call back. I don't expect a reimbursement at this point, but a simple call back and an apology, would be nice! I would not recommend, or will I ever order from them again!“

From the moment we walked in, we were transported to a different era. The 1920s Art Deco interior is absolutely stunning, with glowing chandeliers, velvet textures, and a bar that could easily be a movie set. It’s classy, cozy, and quietly buzzing with charm. We started with the sampler appetizer—an incredible way to warm up our palates with bold, layered flavors. My wife ordered the Chicken Tagine, which came beautifully presented and full of rich, comforting North African spices. I went with the Wagyu NY Strip, which was grilled to perfection and paired with saffron rice that was as fragrant as it was flavorful. The rosemary chimichurri on the side added a nice kick. For drinks, my wife had a well-balanced Cosmo, while I couldn’t resist their signature Call From Istanbul—a dramatic and smoky twist on the classic Old Fashioned, served with flair (and actual fire). “I got the lamb gyro with sweet potato fries for lunch and wow! The amount you get for the price is phenomenal! The sauce for the fries needs to come in a bottle...I'd put it on everything! The sandwich can come in different applications like a bowl, wrap or salad. I got the gyro on pita and barely got through half because of the amount of delicious lamb! This will definitely be my new spot in the skyway.“

“Honestly I'm shocked reviews are so low. Some of the best airport food I've ever had! And many gluten free options!!! Which is nearly impossible as someone with celiac. Airports suck for celiacs, and dining hours need to adapt with travel schedules, but that's another story... This place has a halal certified food truck that serves shwarma, hummus, falafel, and more. The servings are slightly small but the quality is immensely good. Chicken was cooked perfectly and seasoned nicely. Hummus was good - much, much better than store ought. I'm serious. If you're in MSP, go eat here. You'll be glad you did. I got the chicken shwarma with hummus and my fiancee got the falafel. She got the pita, which they steam and place in a bag. We shared dolmas. All tasty!“
