“The food here is fantastic! I've been a regular for years and the quality hasn't changed since day one. Just a heads up: it's best to order ahead as the wait can be lengthy. But that's to be expected from a spot with such delicious and bold flavors.“
“I just went there yesterday. It was the best food ever. The service was wonderful. My food was ready when it was supposed to be and I’m enjoying every bit of it. I’ve been eating it since yesterday. I’m about to eat some more now it’s the real deal this is a real taste of Africa, so different from all the others I tried before I will be going again!! and I must add it was very meaty enjoyed every bite food was made with love.Parking: Easy parkingKid-friendliness: Make your children feel as welcome as you“
“I have always kept this grocery store, butcher shop and restaurant, all rolled into one, as a go-to when I'm in Brooklyn Center. For classic panAfrixan food items, you can find anything here from fried fish to palm butter to rice. To the right of the store when you walk in, is the butcher shop. They carry a wide variety of meat and fish. they do not have much in the way of produce, but I have noticed potato leaves, yams, cassava, root, and other more traditional African items available. I imagine in the summer they will be more options. In the back of the grocery store is the restaurant. The food is delicious, authentic and on the spicy side, so heads up to anyone wondering if they might burn their tongues. The answer is most likely. If you are wanting to avoid oil and salt, try one of their meat pies, fresh juices or jill of rice. The sauces are delicious but err on the side of oil and they do use MSG for flavoring. however, nothing in there hot deli options is bad. It's all delicious.A few pointers, call ahead or go early if you have particular types of dishes, you like, because the cassava and palava sauce ate often gone quickly and often. I am not sure why the owners don't make extra backup of these two dishes, as they are notoriously gone most of the time by the time I ask for them. For this reason, I did not give them a 5 stars as they are often out of the most popular dishes and don't do as effective job planning with back up for customer who come later for the same dishes.“
“This place was very good. The food was absolutely delicious but the meat was a bit too over cooked for my personal preferences. This restaurant absolutely spoils you with their portion size, 2 meals could feed 5 people. We also received so much flatbread I couldn't manage to eat all of it, and our mango juice cups were filled all the way to the brim with no room left in the cup. Only problem is communication if you don't speak somali, the waiters know english but if you don't pay attention accents can get in the way of fully understanding. All in all I fully reccommend this place from a cooking standpoint but beware that Lake Street has amazing food but isn't a very safe street from what I've heard.“
“The environment is so clean and her food is great. What I like most about Wazobia is that they make their food fresh, so the wait times is a little long but it is worth it for eating a fresh meal.Parking: There is parking space but not enough. It could probably take like 10 - 12 cars (this is an estimate)“
“I've been working with Marlene & Fredrick for over a few months now to secure them as the caterer for a UMN event which just happened last night! Marlene is both kind & patient. To say that the food was a success would be a huge understatement! The food was AMAZING! The food was delivered very hot & on time! Thank you again, Marlene! I highly recommend them!“

“Excellent! Hands down the BEST jollof rice! Madam Oga is a great hostess, she is so sweet and it shows through her food. The jollof rice and chicken was outstanding. I also tried the fried chicken and it was tasty too. The meat pies are huge and a meal by themselves. The ginger beer is spicy and sweet. ? We enjoyed everything about our meal. The resturant is also super cute and welcoming inside. I highly recommend and will certainly return when in the area.“
