“I am always skeptical of bar food, but Yankee Tavern was a pleasant surprise. I ordered the burrito bowl with the brisket on the side (I'm a vegetarian) and they were easily able to accommodate the request and give the brisket to my table mate. The food was incredibly flavorful. Yes, even without the meat. The rest of our party shared the same sentiment. The French fries were crispy, the food hot, the portions large, and the service was great. My only complaint is they only played new country music the entire time. That may actually keep me from returning.

Maybe I'll just get it to go next time.....“

“If you were looking for a fun cocktail, an excellent martini or old-fashioned with a light appetizer this is your place. The area is absolutely beautiful and the Omni is nice. But the place was horribly understaffed. We sat at the couch area with little expectations and went to the bar for our drinks. Ordered some food and it was very hard getting even napkins or plates, dirty dishes, just sat there. For the price you pay ($15 a drink , $20 for wings) you need to have more staff on a Sunday game day .“

“Just finished dinner at the Better Half to try out the new after dark menu - 100/10 recommend! We had the ahi tuna stack, miso sea bass, and the lobster pasta (can’t remember the name) and everything was INCREDIBLE. We wanted to order pretty much everything, it was so hard to decide! I would officially consider this one of the best menus south of the River - can’t wait to come back and do another round of taste testing until we make our way through the whole menu! The staff was extremely kind, helpful, and attentive, and the restaurant, in spite of being pretty busy on a weekday evening, was laid out in a way that my friend and I could have a great conversation without having to shout. We kept things simple with the food and drinks, and everything we had was enjoyable. Will likely be back in the future if I'm in the area.“

“Two linked reasons to visit: the store is exceptionally complete, with a wonderful meat cutting department!
The cafe has the most diverse and authentic Mexican food I have found in the Twin Cities. A walk-up ordering kiosk has replaced the former cafeteria style line. It takes abit of effort to master all the options. The checkout clerk can help. A lovely deli section is close to the cafe seating, allowing you to select some take home things while your food is cooked. Much recommended for any of their offerings!“

“Khaluna experience and food was top notch. Started the evening with a drink at the bar, got the bartenders recommendation because I didn’t know what more than half of the unique ingredients were, and I was not disappointed. Also appreciated that they had NA drink menu for my partner.
Once at the table, the server informed us that we order all items at once and they course it out. Sometimes I worry things get too rushed when they do that, but the pace was perfect, and the server recommendations were wonderful. We order 2 starter/small plates and 2 entrees and the portions were perfect for the 2 of us.
Get the shrimp rolls- the texture combo with the herbs, rice paper, and stuffing paired with the dipping sauce was wonderful.
Red snapper crudo was served in a bath of a coconut curry sauce that was so fresh.
Duck confit fried rice. Love the flavors and the pop/crunch of some rice puff pieces mixed in.
Scallop entree- amazing. Came with perfectly cooked zucchini, razor thin stacked potatoes (hasselback?), and peas, covered in a delicious green curry sauce.
We finished the meal with the pistachio cake dessert.
Service was amazing, atmosphere is warm and inviting -makes you feel like you’re at a tropical destination. The small touches tied everything with a bow. 5 stars recommend.
Parking lot is tiny and is managed by valet. Plan to find a spot on the neighborhood streets.“

“While the food was good, service needs improvement. I had the Potato Skins which were very good. My husband had the Ruben. He asked for fries and got waffle fries. Was never offered seasoned sour cream, while my cousin ordered fries, got crinkle cut fries and was offered seasoned sour cream. My husband said the Ruben was good but could have used a little more dressing. Not once were our water glasses refilled or was the offer made to have them refilled.“

Cheese curds are lightly battered and lightly fried. Perfectly melted cheese inside. Very nicely done.

“In between flights we stopped at Ike's Clubhouse. We were trying to find a reasonable spot. We all know airport restaurants can be expensive. But with the luck of Google, we were able to find Ike's. Chase, our waiter was good. My wife and I weren't too hungry so we told Chase we were going to share a meal. Well to our surprise, the server came out with our meal split in two plates. My wife and a were in aww of the hospitality. I know I know that you're thinking, that is a minor detail, but to us that went a long way. I was just expecting a plate with our food, I'd cut it in half and ask for another plate, but they thought about that prior. Besides that, the food was good, the price was reasonable for an airport restaurant and the hospitality was top notch. Thank you Chase and staff!!
