“I've been to Malcolm Yards a few times and always have been pleased with my food. There is plenty of parking that is free and paid street parking. The inside and outside areas offer plenty of seating. Inside there are several food vendors to choose from and you can order from multiple. This time I got the chipotle sweet potato and roasted nabo sueco tacos from Martes. They were between $5-6 each, so not bad of a price. These tacos were so delicious, I didn't want them to end! I was so glad I went and tried these, but you can't go wrong with the other vendors either. The empanadas at Del Sur are amazing! “We went for dinner with friends and loved the view, atmosphere, and had great service. The drinks for most of us were also excellent. However we all felt that the food and presentation was a three star. So take that into account if you are reading this.I know they are going for the diner/dinette vibe but the shrimp cakes in a cardboard box isn't ideal. The French fries also were good but look like something you would get next door at CHS Field.I had the duck pasta with ricotta cheese and it was a major letdown for me. I should have ordered the burrito. However the menu isn't that large so your options are limited. The pork belly was tasty but had way too much spicy sauce all over it.Will I go back? Honestly it is unlikely. I hope they can improve the food and expand the menu because the location is beautiful and historic. And our server was prompt and took great care of us.“

“Cultivated skill of fine dining meets dive bar. Bull’s Horn is something in between. Reasonably priced for dishes created by a culinary chef who makes his very own house made bologna and cheeses. His subtle cooking techniques results in extraordinary taste and texture that the unrefined tastebud may miss. Great food coupled with great service drove my family to stop here twice during our weekend trip to Minneapolis. Here are our must tries: Cheese Curd: Lightly battered and geniusly paired with thousand island dressing which breaks up the acidity of the cheese and brings out the rich creamy cheese flavor. Bologna Sandwich: Not from your childhood! This homemade recipe marries a blend of spices that makes your tastebuds dance. Lightly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside…assembled with homemade American cheese, a slice of crisp white onion on toasted white bread… the best I’ve had in my life! Chicken Gizzards: Technique, technique, technique. I can only wonder the effort and preparation on the front end that makes these gizzards so, so tender. Lightly battered and minimal frying time leave these gizzard with a “cut with a folk” and “melt in your mouth” texture that I have never experienced before.“

“The place doesn't look much from the front, but the atmosphere is actually quite nice once you walk down the hallway (passing the glass wall behind the bar) and into the main restaurant. On warmer days, the patio looks like it would be an excellent place to hang out. The main part of their menu looked like a build-it-yourself type of thing. Pick tacos, burrito, quesadilla, etc. Then you can pick your protein, style, and sauce. I ended up choosing a Burrito Bowl with Carnitas Street Style. The food tasted great. It was obviously made with fresh ingredients. I was surprised later when I looked at the menu again and saw that it cost me an extra dollar to get the Burrito Bowl, thus saving them the tortilla. I wish the waiter would have mentioned the up charge, although I probably would have gotten the bowl anyway. As I do at most Mexican restaurants -- well, all restaurants -- I got an unsweetened iced tea. Much to my surprise, they charge for tea by the glass. No refills. Again, mentioning this when ordering would have been helpful. Personally, I have trouble paying $4 for iced tea in my at Starbucks... but at least I get free refills. Here, the glasses were much smaller, and again, no refills. At least the tea here tasted good. They checked me out tableside using ApplePay, which was nice. I didn't get an itemized bill. And I'm not quite sure if they tacked on a gratuity or not. Unlike normal, they didn't turn the POS terminal around and ask me to enter a tip amount. Bottom line... not sure if I will go back or not. The food was good. So was the atmosphere. The food was reasonably priced. What may keep me away is that each tiny glass of ice tea (tiny, by my standards) is $4.“

“Great place that's kid friendly and has 2 patios (front and back) that are both dog friendly. Good food, top notch service, great cocktails. The chicken and wild rice pot pie was a novel, yet obvious take on an old favorite. Of course those flavors go together. Can't believe it's not more common, but that's what's great about this place, they take familiar dishes and class them up. Really loved their cocktail options too. Will have to go back and try more because I was between a couple options. The blackberry sour was refreshing and had a hint of sweet to balance the tartness. Service was top notch, probably the best you'll get anywhere. Will definitely be back.Parking: There's a large parking lot that wraps around the restaurant. The back patio is in the parking lot. There's also street parking all around the lot, so if you can't find a spot in the lot, there are other options.Kid-friendliness: There were a lot more options for kids than on a standard kids menu and they had whole milk for littles. Their highchairs are better than most too with all the straps, etc. They give you crayons and the kids menu can be drawn on. Servers were good about putting food and drinks out of reach of babies and warning you about hot things. If you're looking for a family friendly meal out, this place has you covered.“

A smaller place with room for 6-10 at the bar and 4-6 booth/tables. The flavor in the air was a musty grandmas living room with a hint of an ashtray. A pinball machine, darts and machine fed pull tabs are available as well as paperback books and a big Bible. The bartender was the kind that uses a lot sarcasm to keep things in order and that’s not bad especially when you see the same people most of the time. A shot and a beer was 9$. If I was ever in the neighborhood again I’d check out another place for variety but would have no issue with going back. Enjoy!“

“A cozy, wood and window bar and grill that is so welcoming, I am charging my power wheel chair in here welcomed to do it by a beautiful and happy waitress. Not a drinker, but bet I get food here in the near future! On corner across from Mears Park who failed my electric access w pad locks! lol. Life is an adventure and its businesses like this that make a crisis, not one. Makes it a warm visit instead. Home town Saint Paul is represented here. Thank you Bulldog!“

“THE BEST! Lamphai (maybe I'm spelling her name wrong) is the sweetest lady. She has run this restaurant on her own for 28 years and makes excellent food. She was so friendly and showed me all the herbs that she uses for her dishes. She piled my lunch buffet plate high with beef, chicken curry, pork, wontons, and rice, and checked in to make sure it wasn't too spicy and that I'd had enough rice. Stop by Taste of Thailand for great food and support this long running, woman-owned business!“

“It's a very open bar and they have some TV's to watch sports. They had a band playing the night I was there and it's nice that they have bands. There is room to dance if a band is playing. The food was good, comparable to most bar food. It's wheelchair accessible. They had a cover charge when the band played. Definitely a fun place!“

“Camp is an overall great bar! From their awesome and attentive servers (Britt, Josh, Nate, Frank, Tim and Brian) to their awesome selection of tap beer and mixed cocktails, darts, pool, trivia and live singing nights to their comedy cabaret next door, they have a little bit of everything (plus Heggies pizza)! The bar is very, VERY LGBTQIA+ friendly, the vibe is chill and it's a great place to hang.“

“This place is AMAZING!! We held a surprise party here for our daughters 24th Birthday yesterday. Everything went as planned the bartender Lisa was phenomenal, the event planner Taylor was great she kept us informed and was in contact with us up until the date of the party, the food was delicious, and the new owners have put a lot of work into revamping and making the Dugout a great bar/restaurant. Everyone from the party cannot wait to go back. Thank you again to everyone at the Dugout, you guys are the BEST!!“

“Neumanns is just awesome. Decent food overall, really great burgers and fries. Staff is friendly. You might go in there and see and see 3 - 80 year old ladies chatting together and some 20 somethings at the bar and a total mix of ages in between. Has the feel of a biker bar, but friendly and welcoming. A true hometown bar.“

“5 stars for sweeneys! Love this place. Even through the ownership change and new menu, we come back. Moved out of St. Paul a few months ago and we still try to come as often as possible. Only 4/5 stars for food now BECAUSE we want the birria back!!!! It was soooo good and soooo missed. Also the boneless wings back too! (You should update the online menu)“

“Al's Corral isn't scared to be what it is: a hole in the wall that everyone is glad they found. From the staff to the patrons, this place is good. Here is what I didn't expect: the amazing burgers. For having the world's smallest menu and kitchen, they found how to do something great, and they follow through. I will definitely be back.“

“Great group of folks here at the VFW. The accomodations here are extensive with a full service lounge upstairs and a large room downstairs for larger gatherings. Great for a wedding reception. There's an elevator that accesses every floor and is handicap accessible. My band plays here and we always are appreciated and have a good time.“
