“I came for happy hour and ordered their October special, two chicken tamales for $12. Presented with authenticity and looking very delicious that is, until I touched the husks and felt a chill. The tamales were hot but the husks were cold. How do steamed tamales come with cold husks, I questioned? I accepted their apologies and expressed how tasty they were but thought to myself, why serve in cold husks? The tamales were very delicious and will definitely have them again. Staff was very accommodating and I highly recommended Lagos Tacos as a must stop for all occasions.“

“I am not a huge fan of Mexican food but this changed my mind. The Raman is one of the best meals I have ever eaten. It is a little odd being inside of a BP station and you order on a kiosk. “Funky little place in the basement of an office building. A bit hard to find once you’re in the building but very close to Terminal 2 with good parking. Food is freshly cooked, and the cook hand tossed the pizza dough. For the price, the food is very good and plentiful.“

“Two Mixed up exceeded my expectations by far. My girlfriend and I were looking for a solid smash burger, and this is exactly that. The meat was seasoned to perfection, the cheese was melted perfectly, and the service was so quick. We got fries with the one burger, and onion rings with the other. I highly recommend getting onion rings here as they were no super oily and the breading was nice and light.

We’re definitely coming back to try something other than the jalapeño burgers. I can’t stop thinking about this burger…“

“Excellent food and service! We ordered torta de pollo (chicken sandwich) and veggie burrito, both were delicious. Javier, the boss (el patron), took the time to chat with us. He told us they have a variety of original house salsas with different degrees of heat to choose from, we tried 2 and they were both very tasty. Everything had a true Mexican flavor! Very clean, it was full of Mexican and Latinamerican customers on a Sunday afternoon. It is a small restaurant inside a supermaket with a great team and genuine Mexican food. They have special discounts every weekday. I can’t wait to come back!“

“I truly think this is the best Mexican food in Anoka County! Both locations! Ham Lake location is inside of the BP gas station right off of Constance and 65, you can eat inside or get takeout. They have their own app which makes online ordering a breeze! I feel like this is the best hidden food gem around, I’m assuming people either don’t realize it’s there or are turned off because it’s located inside of a BP. But it’s actually an adorable set up inside the BP and not weird at all :) I give this place 5/5 stars! 🌯🌮💕“

The meat in the ramen was good. The broth is a little spicy. The flavor was pretty strong. Overall, I thought it was okay.

The burgers are unique. As a burger it was okay. The cubana burger my friend had looked good. I probably would have liked it more than mine. Decent size.“

My man Evan is always working the morning shift and take great care of me. He even remembers my order and gets my coffee and food order in asap when he sees me. We stopped by Crooked Pint for the first time while passing through town. My husband found the beer selection disappointing—it leaned heavily toward IPAs, making the options feel unbalanced. He would have preferred a broader variety, particularly more brown and amber ales.

Service was slow, but since we weren’t in a rush, it wasn’t a major issue.

The real star of the experience? The food. We started with an appetizer of poutine—waffle fries topped with cheese curds, bacon pieces, mozzarella, covered in rich brown gravy. Without a doubt, the best poutine we’ve ever had. If you go, do yourself a favor and order this—you won’t regret it. I’ll be dreaming about that poutine for weeks.

For my entrée, I chose the Asian pork tacos. They were bursting with flavor, packed with cabbage, pico, roasted corn, cheese, fried tortilla strips and cilantro. After the first bite, I told my husband they were the best tacos I've ever eaten. To wrap it up - great food, disappointing beer selection and slow service. But the poutine and pork tacos? Absolutely unforgettable.“
