Sesame Chicken taco is crispy, tangy, with a good kick of spice. Al pastor taco is good, tangy with the bit of pineapple. Carnitas taco is very savory and juicy. The corn tortillas are nice and soft. Definitely have the sesame last because it overwhelms the other flavors. The sweet corn cake is super soft, a very light cornbread flavor. Elote is good, simple and yummy.“

We loved the mezcal old fashioned, finished with beautiful smoke from burning corn silk. Extra special is the bone in birria, which I will be dreaming about for many months. Super beefy silken meat, loaded with flavor. Don’t pass on the pork shank if you love roast pork! We had the nicest guy as our server, who was so enthusiastic about the food he brought us and happy to handle our big table complete with kids. I will go back!“

“This place is so unassuming and can be tricky to get to. The "C" button doesn't work sometimes, but keep trying, because this place serves some of the best burritos I've had since I moved out of California. Their regular al pastor burrito is only $13, but the serving size is like two Chipotle burritos but with better-quality ingredients. You will leave with an extremely full stomach. Mucho gusto.“

“I truly think this is the best Mexican food in Anoka County! Both locations! Ham Lake location is inside of the BP gas station right off of Constance and 65, you can eat inside or get takeout. They have their own app which makes online ordering a breeze! I feel like this is the best hidden food gem around, I’m assuming people either don’t realize it’s there or are turned off because it’s located inside of a BP. Nothing to write home about either. Prices are average for airport fare - not over the top. I got a cheeseburger with fries. My server was friendly and professional. I would not eat here if I was in a hurry, but it is otherwise a nice place to hang out while waiting for a flight. Seats are comfortable. TVs mounted to the ceiling featured various sport related shows. If I find myself headed to the A concourse around meal time again, I will likely stop in.

We stopped by Crooked Pint for the first time while passing through town. My husband found the beer selection disappointing—it leaned heavily toward IPAs, making the options feel unbalanced. He would have preferred a broader variety, particularly more brown and amber ales.

Service was slow, but since we weren’t in a rush, it wasn’t a major issue.

The real star of the experience? The food. We started with an appetizer of poutine—waffle fries topped with cheese curds, bacon pieces, mozzarella, covered in rich brown gravy. Without a doubt, the best poutine we’ve ever had. If you go, do yourself a favor and order this—you won’t regret it. I’ll be dreaming about that poutine for weeks.

For my entrée, I chose the Asian pork tacos. They were bursting with flavor, packed with cabbage, pico, roasted corn, cheese, fried tortilla strips and cilantro. After the first bite, I told my husband they were the best tacos I've ever eaten. To wrap it up - great food, disappointing beer selection and slow service. But the poutine and pork tacos? Absolutely unforgettable.“
