“I moved in earlier than I planned because there wa no reason not too. I am very happy at The Waters and so glad I made the move. The "cottages" are wonderful even though there is downsizing to get done. The staff is very helpful and cheerful. The food is great - besides the 'every day menu," there are specials for lunch and dinner. The menu is quite varied with chicken, beef/veal, pork, turkey and vegetarian.“

“Our two visits to Layline have both been excellent. Enthusiastic servers and terrific food. Our favorite menu item has been the Watermelon salad. We had it on both visits and it was extraordinary both times.
We've enjoyed the Bywater Burger, Chicken Sandwich, Pork Chop and the Sea Bass. All were terrific. Duck fat fries also fantastic. We will definitely be back for more.“

“Long time customer first time complainer. Maynard’s has always had my favorite summer Margarita on the wharf, but this year it has been inconsistent and they added orange juice is a skinny spicy Margarita! First of all no self-respecting margarita has orange juice, and second of all, you can’t make a skinny margarita with pure sugar in orange juice. Please put it back and make it consistent so we can rely on having a great drink every time.“

“This is a great new addition to Excelsior. Another venue created by Jester group. They also have Parlour downstairs and a fusion Asian place nearby.
We started with the popovers. They were a great option. Light, eggy, and cooked to perfection. The honey butter was the perfect pairing. The Caesar salad was very well made, balanced, and very fresh ingredients. The chicken wild rice soup was a nice starter. Perfectly seasoned, creamy, a good balance of wild rice, veggies, mushrooms,& chicken.
The Agnolletti was a small plate but very rich and truffle-y. The pasta was properly cooked and the creamy cheese filling was silky smooth. The Au Jus beef was a highlight. The shaves beef was delicious and tender. The au jus had depth of flavor and really soaked in to perfectly textured bun. Maybe could have used just a tad more salt, but regardless the flavors popped.
The margarita and the gimlet were excellent. The cherry bark collins was refreshing.
Overall a delicious meal. Absolutely would go back!“

“Hosted a lively group and Captain Jim, Nora and Jack took care of us! Very attentive, knowledgeable, fun. They made the entire experience amazing from the moment we boarded the boat until we got back to the dock. HUGE KUDOS to those three for making an average corporate event an amazing event!“

“This is one of our favorite places, we make sure to come every month for the bloody of the month. Today I had the breakfast tacos and old fashion, amazing food and drinks. Our waitress was fantastic super nice and conversational we’ll be lifetime customers. Mags our waitress was amazing - promote ahead of peers give her annual bonus. ✨“

Waited 20mins before getting someone to take just our drink order and it was the bartender from inside not even our server that noticed we were still sitting there with nothing. Then barley good service once our waiter did finally come. We all could have had another drink but never could since we werent asked till after we were done with food. Food was actually really good and good portions for the price. But the service ruined it. I can't recommend this place and don't know if we will back. Plenty of other places with good food that actually have good service.“

“Food and malts were delicious - love the new location great experience! Friendly staff fast service!“

“Situated beautifully along the lake with fantastic sunset views, COV Wayzata offers a wonderful ambiance that is especially enjoyable when the temperature permits outdoor seating. The service was exceptional throughout our visit, beginning with the highly accommodating staff who graciously allowed us to place our first round of happy hour drink and appetizer orders just minutes before the window closed. The tap beer selection is superb, and we started with the truffle fries, which were paired perfectly with a delicious truffle aioli.

One of the main courses we ordered was the steak frites accompanied by green asparagus and béarnaise sauce. While the flavor of the steak was excellent, the cut itself lacked a bit of tenderness. Additionally, while the restaurant boasts a strong wine list, the pricing reflects a remarkably steep markup; a bottle that typically retails for around $40 was priced at $155, which feels a bit excessive (normal for me as a Swede in Sweden, but not in the US…) Despite the steep wine prices, we ended the evening on a high note with a genuinely phenomenal Key Lime Pie. Overall, COV provides a highly memorable lakeside dining experience bolstered by top-tier service.“

“We had a brunch for 16 people at 11am. While they weren't able to hold seating/make reservations; they were able to make it a very short waiting time. Page and the serving crew were amazing! We had no waiting time on ordering and our server was professional and speedy. They kept the drinks coming and we had someone in our party with a lot of special food needs and they were wonderful! First place we've been to where my husband could eat an entire meal to his fill. The food was delicious! No one in the entire party had a single complaint! Wonderful blueberry rice sausages, eggs, pancakes, taco salad, hot tea, coffee, French toast, hashbrowns, English muffins, toast, and more! The decor is adorable! We're so lucky to have found this little cafe as we're from all around the US here for a wedding. It seems to be a local favorite as it was packed! Younger generations and older and everywhere in between! THE go to place if you live in the area or if you're just visiting! You won't be disappointed! “Every year the girls get a pup cup for their birthday. Usually we go to that other ice cream place, but I like Culver's custard and figured I'd stop in quick and inquire for her birthday on Monday. The very sweet employee thought I was asking for one instead of just inquiring if they do that at this location and came back with one for the girls. “Friends who live in the area took me out for dinner at Roberts. I selected a starter for my meal as I wasn't that hungry. Ordered the quesadillas. They were dine but I was perplexed with the sides of lettuce, tomatoes, etc...that more like salad components. They certainly couldn't be added to the quesadillas easily. I asked for some ranch dressing and made a side salad. Some tortilla chips and or some frioles would have been a better accompaniment. Sam, our server was an absolute delight. Give that young man a raise. Atmosphere was quiet and we could converse easily.“

“Great Irish/American comfort food on the menu. Irish Rolls were great, Shepherd Pie, and Meatloaf all done so well. Met Chef James at Twins game and made a special short 20 minute trip out from our downtown hotel. Food was worth the trip, staff was absolutely great and friendly. We brought our pup with us, plenty of outdoor sidewalk and patio seating, and a water dish provided. Will be back again.“
