“This is a great new addition to Excelsior. Another venue created by Jester group. They also have Parlour downstairs and a fusion Asian place nearby.
We started with the popovers. They were a great option. Light, eggy, and cooked to perfection. The honey butter was the perfect pairing. The Caesar salad was very well made, balanced, and very fresh ingredients. The chicken wild rice soup was a nice starter. Perfectly seasoned, creamy, a good balance of wild rice, veggies, mushrooms,& chicken.
The Agnolletti was a small plate but very rich and truffle-y. The pasta was properly cooked and the creamy cheese filling was silky smooth. The Au Jus beef was a highlight. The shaves beef was delicious and tender. The au jus had depth of flavor and really soaked in to perfectly textured bun. Maybe could have used just a tad more salt, but regardless the flavors popped.
The margarita and the gimlet were excellent. The cherry bark collins was refreshing.
Overall a delicious meal. Absolutely would go back!“

“The owner, the big B (Brian), is amazing. He is a great person l, honest with prices and amazing drinks. The atmosphere is so comfortable and you feel like you are family when you are here. I know the owner personally, but I give bad reviews when due, he has EARNED THIS. Amazing bar always come here.“
“No pun intended, but it is refreshing to have this in Maple Plain. It's right next to Fork Less. It gives me a better, healthier, option than the c-store. I stopped in for a protein shake, key lime, and was impressed with the size of the shake and the outstanding flavor. Around 200 calories and 24g of protein, plus vitamins and minerals. That covered lunch today. Next time just might be a T-Bomb or iced coffee.“

“Really great local spot I love, it's a bit more low key than Babe's next door so it's a good place to escape to where it's usually not too busy. Usual bar food like pizzas and chips, nothing too special there, but the people here make it special. I love all the bartenders here, and they host a great karaoke night on Thursdays and now trivia on Saturdays. Prices are also pretty decent with most drinks being $5-$10.“

“The Mrs. and I arrived here on a referral from my sister. She's sort of a cake eater. Well, her neighbors are cake eaters.
I'm telling you, just show up. We ordered the Jumbalaya for an appetizer... unbelievable. So flavorful.
Our server was engaging and her personality was fun. Real people with real service and real food.
Do it...just stop by and grab a bump.“
“Was a little weird at first.. walked in to a guy named Bob dripping wet with 6 shamwows laying on the floor next to him. Started talking, friendly guy but thinks cheese on burgers is gross. Huge red flag. Also, he got so drunk I had to turn into an Uber for the night to get him home safely. Exceptional place otherwise.“

“The point of this place is to get drunk and socialize, and you can absolutely accomplish that here. They've ruined the atmosphere with the stage they added a few years back for bands. I know the intention was good, but bands could fit a smaller footprint without the stage, and it's a single room that absolutely does not need elevation. We played there for years, and having room for people to dance made the experience wonderful. Those days are gone.“

“Phenomenal Michelin-star worthy tapas! We attended with friends based on other good reviews and were blown out of the water with some of the best bites we’ve had in a very long time. We ordered 7 tapas for 4 people and shared. Highly recommend the paella marinera, but every dish we ate was incredible. There was not a bite we didn’t enjoy.
Service was incredible, kind, and explained the menu well - Rene was our waiter. He also timed the tapas perfectly so it was a beautiful experience.“

“I came in for drinks with a few friends and sat at the bar. Charlie was wonderful and made great drinks for us. Beautiful spot and appreciated that the manager Erin came in to check on us and make sure that we had everything that we needed.

“Was at Moes's Char House Chanhassen with Sarah Morgan . Pulled $250 in Pulltabs. The waiter, an Excelsior Dufus, would not let me use 3 credit cards, he demanded cash. I tipped him $30 and then the manager yelled at me for shorting the tab. $50 in cash had gone missing from the table as the Excelsior Man giggled at me. I tipped him $30 more and left. Don't go to Moe's Char House!“

“I am a customer and I had the best dining annd entertainment experience with the incredible staff here at Floyd’s bar! The band was Coconut Tiger, such a class act! The band was high energy, the bartender Frizby was our favorite! We had a large group of us but Frizby our girl did a AMAZING job of taking care of us, it was spontaneous, we came in for a quick bite, and it ended up being an entire night to remember! Thank you Floyd’s Bar staff! The security guys were kind but badass too, the funnest night I’ve had for a long time!“

“Great Irish/American comfort food on the menu. Irish Rolls were great, Shepherd Pie, and Meatloaf all done so well. Met Chef James at Twins game and made a special short 20 minute trip out from our downtown hotel. Food was worth the trip, staff was absolutely great and friendly. We brought our pup with us, plenty of outdoor sidewalk and patio seating, and a water dish provided. Will be back again.“

Jac & JaK go here for almost every achievement in our lives and let me tell you from the manager Chad, to the amazing bartenders Johnny & Emma the entire staff is PHENOMENAL. They remember the drinks I love, the food is consistently amazing and the vibes are impeccable. Emma has grown to be my favorite personality, they’re such a good time & the king salmon is 🔥🔥🔥10/10 recommended & Emma for sure deserves a raise“

“Totally chill spot definitely for the older crowd A lot of people knew each other bar staff was very nice and people at the bar were very welcoming and allowed me to sit in between them and didn't make me feel awkward so it was pretty cool experience I've heard that they have a comedy store here as well as live entertainment on Tuesdays so check it out pretty bomb“

“I took my nephew and his roommate to the Thanksgiving buffett today. The holiday decorations were very festive and pretty. The food was delicious, the drinks were reasonably priced, and I enjoyed the experience. The 21 year olds were full and happy when we left. I would go back for a similar offering in the future.“

“We had an excellent lunch today! The waitress did notify us right away that they were still new to the systems and a new owner and that things may be a little chaotic but, It was our first time stopping in and we hope to make it up that way again, soon! Picture may look weird but I'm a NO BUN gal. I also want to mention the fries were PERFECT! We were pleasantly surprised when they arrived already seasoned and they were hot and crispy but not overcooked I even told my granddaughter I think those were the best order of french fries I've ever had anywhere because they were hot and perfect and seasoned! The waitress also suggested the seasoned sour cream over the plain sour cream, and I would definitely recommend to do that, it was all delicious! The building is cool and it's got a great looking outdoor patio that we wanted to sit at but it kept raining off and on so we decided to sit inside. But next time I would love to sit outside! I know there was one person working behind the bar and I'm pretty sure our server was the only one working the whole floor other than possibly the new owner, or maybe it was the manager, that was helping to bus tables a little bit, and take out food and she/server did an amazing job.“

“Always a great time at Excelsior Maynard’s! If we come by boat or by truck! Parking is always a bit of an issue, a parking ramp is GREATLY NEEDED in that area! Food is great inside or out on the Wharf. We have fun throwing a game or two of bags, watching the boats go by & people watching while sippin’ on some cold beverages from the bar! You can’t go wrong with a day or night out at Maynard’s in Excelsior!“
