“This place is perfect! Ambiance is cute, service was excellent, food is tasty! Stopped in on a Friday afternoon on our way up north. We were greeted right away by our server and told to sit anywhere. We ordered the cowboy burger, patty melt, and Reuben. All were delicious! I'd recommend the patty melt for sure. For dessert we split a slice of the peanut butter pie - AMAZING. I would come back just for the pie.“
“Why not Hinckley? I was impressed. There are no mosquitos, just one good ol walkable block where an historic Main Street meets a scenic Hwy 61. Meet city scholars, foodies, and green thumbs. You'll feel right at home whether you golf or not, at Bogey's. Try their ribs on the third Saturday of the month and you won't be disappointed. (Don't worry, you can walk, run, or bike all those calories off on the Willard Munger trail that stretches 70 miles towards Duluth. Highly recommend if you enjoy a good local beer, a great value, walkability, and a friendly owner. Enjoy this new quintessential Main Street USA experience. I would go back and revisit because you can't take it all in, in just one day. Note* This is not like the casino that Hinckley is known for, the hours posted online fir these small local establishments are subject to change.“
“I have been there several times for breakfast, but i had dinner the other night and it was fantastic ! I had the chicken fettuccine and garlic toast. The best i have ever had. Then i had babana cream pie.... they make individual ies instead of just a slice! Dang it was soooo good!“
“We stopped here for brunch for the first time. I had the Monte Cristo and my wife had the roast beef sandwich. The Cristo was large and tasty although I didn't like the sweet/spicy sauce. The roast beef sandwich wasn't that great as it tasted like the gravy was burnt and/or overcooked.Marge's wild rice soup was AMAZING. It is the second best I've ever had. We should have gotten a gallon to go! ;)Our server was good but busy, so we had to wait a bit for our food, but when she had time, she did a good job of taking care of us.The atmosphere was nice and it had a great blend of functionality and creative design. The pricing was reasonable. We will come back here again in the future.“
“The donuts and bakery items are amazing! I do wish they had dairy free and vegan options though. Bakery items are the best for miles around. I would recommend the cinnamon roll, the Carmel roll, the maple long John, and the custard long john.Vegetarian options: The restaurant does not have many vegetarian options.Dietary restrictions: They do not have many vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, or dairy free options.Parking: Pretty good parking. Sometimes hard to find becuse so busy.Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly“
“Waitress was very friendly and blunt which we like and appreciate. Food is well priced and great tasting. I have celiac disease and after letting her know my needs, she said no guarantees, but I felt comfortable with the fact that the buns are toasted on the opposite side of the grill and they'd do their best. I took a chance and am glad I did. I am very sensitive to gluten allergens and DID NOT GET SICK. This is a HUGE deal for me and my family. Thank you so much!“
“For a small establishment, they provide a wide assortment of beverages and snacks while traveling through town. The bathroom could use some MAJOR updating. However, the pleasure of an enthusiastic sale associate made all the difference for a stop. A cheerfully attentive, kind soul!“
“I've been meaning to write this review for years. My wife and I stopped here during high COVID. The lockdowns had passed, but masking was still encouraged. We were coming back from the Range and hit Hinckley looking for something local, but most every place was still closed. So we wandered a little further off the freeways and found Bear Creek Tavern.Nobody goes into a tavern expecting haute cuisine nor Michelin stars. Honestly, we'd have settled for a decent burger. Instead, we lucked into Mexican Night. My wife ordered enchiladas, and I ordered taco salad. Portions were well sized, prices were decent, quality was good, and service was friendly. I mean, really, what more do you want from road food on Friday night on a trip?If we're ever back in that neck of the woods, we'll look them up. If you're in that neck of the woods, you should look them up, too. You won't be wasting your time.“
