“Why not Hinckley? I was impressed. There are no mosquitos, just one good ol walkable block where an historic Main Street meets a scenic Hwy 61. Meet city scholars, foodies, and green thumbs. You'll feel right at home whether you golf or not, at Bogey's. Try their ribs on the third Saturday of the month and you won't be disappointed. (Don't worry, you can walk, run, or bike all those calories off on the Willard Munger trail that stretches 70 miles towards Duluth. Highly recommend if you enjoy a good local beer, a great value, walkability, and a friendly owner. Enjoy this new quintessential Main Street USA experience. I would go back and revisit because you can't take it all in, in just one day. Note* This is not like the casino that Hinckley is known for, the hours posted online fir these small local establishments are subject to change.“
“I had a couple great bartenders, not that I need more than one , (anymore) . I enjoy sitting and playing video poker and having a snort or two. I suppose snort is out of date now. The blues type band started and they were pretty good and did get my toe tappin , Good atmosphere and comfort.“
“I stop in once a week for lunch I mainly get 2for1 beer & a bacon cheeseburger, burgers awesome compliments of K&R meats, and being hand pattied, and most of all $7.50!!!!!!you have to try this "Off the road" awesome lil' bar!!!!“
“Love this place. It has a liquor store connected to it. Staff is always friendly. They pour their drinks proper. No food besides pizza and snacks. I always stop when I'm heading to the cabin. Don't pass it up. Great small town bar!“
“I've been meaning to write this review for years. My wife and I stopped here during high COVID. The lockdowns had passed, but masking was still encouraged. We were coming back from the Range and hit Hinckley looking for something local, but most every place was still closed. So we wandered a little further off the freeways and found Bear Creek Tavern.Nobody goes into a tavern expecting haute cuisine nor Michelin stars. Honestly, we'd have settled for a decent burger. Instead, we lucked into Mexican Night. My wife ordered enchiladas, and I ordered taco salad. Portions were well sized, prices were decent, quality was good, and service was friendly. I mean, really, what more do you want from road food on Friday night on a trip?If we're ever back in that neck of the woods, we'll look them up. If you're in that neck of the woods, you should look them up, too. You won't be wasting your time.“
