“I've driven by this place at least 100+ times in the past year. I always thought it was Brazilian Steakhouse or something, but saw than I saw on google it was more classical pub food and decided to stop by on lunch to get a burger and it was better than expected. The Bar area is kind of small, has an overall "Diner" feel to it, with an open view of the kitchen. Overall the food was good, the wedge fries were good, same with the burger sauce.“

“You haven't done Northeast Minneapolis if you've never been to Slacks!! Good food, good drinks, good people watching. The original roast beef sandwich is no joke! Epically large portion that is delicious and guaranteed to put you in a meat coma while you're still chewing! I love love love the tots. You don't "need" them but the crunch is a great accompaniment to any meal.

“Partner and I stopped in for a quick breakfast. Service had a lot to be desired but can't expect too much from the cashier trying to be everywhere all the time. Otherwise tried to make a request for less sausage in burrito as Hy-Vee tends to be over the top with meat. Otherwise I had a banana and Nutella waffle and it was superb and definitely would have it again in thr future. Over all if you need breakfast in Robbinsdale, Hy-Vee for breakfast should be a contender.

Vegetarian options: There were tons of options a lot were meat based but a few different gluten free or vegetarian options.

Kid-friendliness: Sace for kids. Plenty of seats and open spaces.“

“I went down for an early supper meal about 5 ish and there was only one other table. They seated me on the small lower table so I had to either sit with my back to any visual interest or sit on what turned out to be a very uncomfortable bench seating. My back was aching 1/2 through my meal making the whole experience unenjoyable. I understand that when it is slow you want to keep patrons nearby, but I had specifically asked if I could sit in the upper section and was refused. The food was very good. The beer batter cheese curds were especially nice. The service was speedy and efficient.“

“Came here for dinner twice while at a conference. I was pleasantly surprised by the staff and the kitchen - there were diverse options on the menu, including vegetarian and veggie-forward options. Both the salmon and the walleye were cooked and seasoned really nicely, and I enjoyed the surprising roasted parsnips with the asparagus and other toasted vegetables. Usually I expect hotel restaurants to be merely palatable, but both times I was pleasantly surprised. No need to go elsewhere if you are in need of a good meal.“

We all thought the food was good, not great, but it was well-presented. Our server was friendly and attentive. Overall, it's a decent place, but I'd probably give it 3.5 stars if that was an option.“
