“If you're in Minneapolis visiting or live here, you have to check this place out! It's got great beer, and art; vibrantly decorated and has a 3 on 3 soccer field! It's big enough to gather to watch games on one it's many TV's or meet up for happy hour. Also, check out the Saturday night dance party!!!!“
“Forgotten Star has a great and historic location in Fridley, Minnesota. The staff is stellar and the beer is good. Forgotten Star is a shining example of what craft beer is. Great space, great people, great beer. They are part of the lifeblood of the community. There is always plenty going on. Whether that is a kid's story time, curling or disc golf leagues. Sign up for a Mug Club membership. Enjoy a treat from the Hodegpodge food truck. When you have the chance, check out Forgotten Star.“
“Nice large venue both the indoors and patio. Their beer menu is more traditional/European styles, which is my preference.
They have an outdoor ordering window and indoor ordering lane which helps reduce the awkward talking over someone’s shoulder type ordering many bars have.
The hefe-mosa and witbier were my favorite.“
“A must visit in the north loop! Great beer! Amazing people! The perfect place to visit before a twins game or any day really… Cory, thank you for the hospitality. I look forward to coming back soon!“
“Such a comfortable place for a brew or two.“
“Large space. Limited brews, more food than brews which was interesting. The brown ale was great though!!“
“It has a great staff and the people were just so welcoming!“
“One on my favorite breweries, they have great beer, friendly staff, and fun times. The brewery is very community centric, and dog friendly. There are two patios, one that is out front of the building and the other in updstairs. The upstairs patio is very quite and one the best kept secrets in Shakopee. The beers are great, the Hazy IPA is incredible and the Mexican lager is amazing. There is a reason these beers keep wining in the MN brewer's cup.“
“We went to Steel Toe for the first time today. We enjoyed the best of Minneapolis summer entertainment. They have a nice outdoor area with a food truck for your tummy. We played a trivia game and saw others playing cribbage. It was quiet and lots of actual chatting and interacting that doesn't happen when music or TV is overbearing.“
“Welcome to the neighborhood Nine Mile!! First timer…loved the beer, pretzels, popcorn. Very knowledgeable staff. Patio was being constructed when we were there, looks awesome. One suggestion, please consider changing the uncomfortable chairs (tables of two) by the windows looking over the patio. Fortunately, we were able to find bar chairs to move to where we met other customers who moved for the same reason. We’ll be back to enjoy the patio! Cheers!“
“Absolutely wonderful! Staff is fun, friendly, and personable. We recently co-hosted an event at Inbound and everything was flawless! Great communication and a huge following that really helped promote the event. The drinks are delicious and even the clientele is great! We can't wait to be back!“
“Had the Purgatory Czech Pilsner crisp light lager. Good solid beer. Pretty busy on a Saturday lots of reserved but open tables. Open outside seating w a food truck. Dogs welcome. Has arcade games as well. Parking could be an issue. Strip mall has a number of other businesses that have reserved parking.“
“How could I have not reviewed this place yet? Been going here weekly since they weren’t here but over behind there. You know what I mean. The beer is consistently excellent. There have been a few whoops beers that I didn’t care for, but that’s just my tastes buds fault I guess. Flagship beers are the hazy and hoppy ‘sippi squeeze and the crisp crispy business. Also they have a gosh darn happy hour! A happy hour in this day and age, you say? Yes way, I say! $5 weekdays 4-6. Thank god there is still a business in Minneapolis that has the guts to serve $5 beers.
If you don’t go the 56 you are really missing out. Their patio faces the sunset and is shaded by a huge beautiful cottonwood. The side deck faces a giant community garden. Truly a great spot.
The staff are the coolest. They treat you like a friend; sometimes they laugh with you and sometimes they laugh at you. 😁“
“This was our first time here and we had such a great time. So many beverage options and a fun, relaxed place to be. We will be back very soon!“

“Joined for dog yoga and simply love the vibe, the German name theme and all the diverse community events! Kudos for having a Big Lebowski themed bash!!“
“Best tasting beer around. Great atmosphere“
“Why even advertise Rush Hour? Tried it twice. First time … No Rush beer, no merch, lame. Bartenders were nice and gave us a discount. Second time … At least there was Rush beer on tap this time. The staff couldn’t be bothered to play more than three Rush songs and the merch giveaway was expired jars of Rush mustard. Lame. Maybe a handful of people were there for it both times. What’s the point?“
“My dad and I - both huge craft beer fans- stumbled across this absolute gem last night. Neither of us live in the area (I’m in S Mpls and he’s in the south suburbs), but we were in Plymouth looking for a brewery and this one sounded unique. I’m going to try to make this succinct, but so much was perfection, so here’s a list of PROS:
-Friendly and extremely knowledgable staff. My dad asks lots of questions, and the kind beertender had good answers about how the brews were made, hops used, “this is a little different than other brews in this style, what’s different?”, etc. He even came out from behind the bar to chat with us, which I don’t see at any other tap rooms.
-HUGE variety of brews, and nearly all were fabulous in my opinion.
-Completely unique vibe, which was refreshing for me coming from Minneapolis, where it’s easier to find a brewery thats just like all the other breweries than it is to find someone who’s doing something truly unique.
-Related to the above: chairs were actually comfortable and not those crappy metal chairs every single brewery has.
-Dad loved the library. Between the excellent selection of books and beers, I think he was ready to move in.
-Variety of upcoming events, including the classic trivia, a maker’s market, and TRICYCLE JOUSTING coming up on 6/1.
-Appears they have a patio as well, it was raining when we visited.
-Head brewer is a woman, which is less common than one might hope in 2025, but here we are. She’s so talented, and I’m a fan without even having met you, Lori!
Cons:
-No in-house food, which some may prefer. I didn’t mind ordering in from Davanni’s, who gave us a discount for ordering from the brewery. Perhaps they have food trucks sometimes, I’ll keep an eye out for that when I return. They do have snacks like pretzels and chips.
-This place is not in my back yard, which is only a con for me personally; hopefully they’re closer to you, dear reader.
Overall, well worth a return trip to see what’s on tap and sit a spell in a friendly, welcoming, unique environment.“
“super fun comedy show & great beer!“
“Boom Island Brewing and The Tile Shop Thanks for a great Party. What a great Brewery and they know how to host a Party! 💯“
“Stopped in after a gloomy, rainy travel day for a brew and a bite. First, it's in a lovely old neighborhood, very safe, very walkable. The building is beautiful and the rooftop terrace expansive. Sun peeked out JUST enough that we drank the first beer up top. My Roggan Rojabier was sublime and the cozy welded firepits just added to the Fall vibe. Decided to have a second brew and a burger -- the og smashburger was insanely tasty. I finished the whole dang thing. But the best part? The kindest, most helpful, fun staff. Is everyone in Minneapolis just that delightful?“
“I love Wild Minds. Can’t say enough about how much I love this space, the vibe, the staff. They always have something new on their tap list. I’ve had some really good IPA’s and sours there. I can sit there for hours with family and friends. It’s a neighborhood gem. Good food truck options. Oh and the morning Wild Grinds coffee bar is also amazing!“
“Good beer and vibes all day, any day“
“What a great brewery located in the heart of Birdtown. Great bingo, meat raffle and an annual summer party with great give aways! The patio has live music in the summer. Winter time music moves inside.“

“Nice patio, comfortable interior. I go to work, drink an Icee or two and eat their free popcorn. Friendly staff. Right on Mainstreet Hopkins.“
