“This spot is a classic. Arnie palmers are my fav to get here. Service is always quick. I also love the outdoor patio. The music isn't too loud. And the food is pretty standard and good size for what you pay. Love the landing and I think I always will.“

“Fantastic breakfast! Bloody Marys and Screw Ups are tasty, too (and 1 is included with the Red Eye Breakfast, which I recommend.) Eggs were perfectly cooked. Bacon was crispy as requested. Although I ordered white toast this time, the wheat toast is delicious (thick sliced and seedy on the outside). We sat on the patio, next to the bike trail, and enjoyed a beautiful morning while we dined. Great spot!“

“First time there with a great friend. We watched the playoff game & had a very delicious blue cheeseburger & tots. It was one of the best burgers we've had in a long time. Everyone was cheering on the Ravens, even though they lost to the Chiefs. Great friendly service & a warm, fun atmosphere.“

“We made the trip from Austin, MN to Janesville specifically to visit The Purple Goose Smokehouse & Saloon! As our luck goes, we arrived right as breakfast was ending BUT the new owners were extremely friendly & let us order breakfast anyway!! The food alone was worth the trip! We ordered the ham & cheese omelet, french toast platter, pancake platter, and kids fries. Everything was delicious, and the waitress was excellent. Our first trip there, but it definitely won't be the last. Can't wait to return! Shelly & Doug are going to do just fine running this place ? Kid-friendliness: Our kids loved it! “Very good ? We went out on a Thursday night & my hubby had Beer, 24oz. Prime Rib with baked patato + Texas toast & salad bar. I had a Drink, 16oz. Walleye Pike with fries & salad bar.The Salad Bar choices :Salad with many different toppings & grated cheese, Cottage Cheese, Peaches & Watermelon, Vegetable Beef Soup, Patato Salad & Coleslaw, and a cold Noodle Salad.“

“I mean...I was excited to visit this place because I saw an ultimate Bloody Mary in one of their pics that I had to be brave soul and try. AND DID!I enjoyed it. I also had their corn ribs. “So my honey decided to grab a couple "take home to bake" pizzas here tonight. I actually didn't even know they made homemade pizzas. (I am SUPER picky with my Philly pizza and its my "go-to").) It was beyond AWESOME! By far my favorite since I've moved to the St. Peter area. You could see and taste all the veggies and chicken.(I don't eat beef) Frickin YUM! “Personally, I am not a fan of any kind of seafood. My husband was more than happy with the variety of shrimp choices. My steak was very good. I just wish they had more nonseafood options. Very good variety of drinks (alcoholic) to choose from.“

“Our waitress was fantastic! Very talkative and attentive. Took an interest in our weekend plans and family. The soups were delicious! I had the chicken noodle with big, fat, wide noodles. The flavor was good and it wasn't salty! My husband had the tomato basil soup and that was good also. Our waitress recommended the lemon supreme pie and it was excellent! The bathrooms were very clean also!“

“Their burgers are extremely under rated. Likely one of the best in town in my opinion.My only gripe with the place, and reason for docking one star, is that their claw machine is too loose. If you pick up even the smallest of animals and it would drop it for no reason. I literally pumped $35 into the machine going after a small scale Dinosaur while 8 other unnamed patrons watched in disbelief. I'm familiar with the ins and outs of these animal claw machines and from the data I've collected I'm fairly certain this one is rigged and set up for failure. I visited 4-3-24. I'm not interested in filling out any forms or go to your website but if you'd like to right your wrong I'd just like the Dino I pretty much paid for 6 times over. It's definitely owed to me and we all know it's still in the machine.“

“It's changes hands (no longer Whiskey River). Other than no more BBQ ribs, it's the same place. My siblings & I took our 95 year old father for lunch and to see the birds. We love to birdwatch, and this place is awesome for it. The food is very good, reasonably priced. The staff is awesome. Great memories are made here.“

“Just needs some air tools laying across the bench! Lol. The family liked the burgers, but the poutine gravy was really really strong. Way too much bouillon! The decor was pretty cool at matches the name of the place. Price averaged out to $22 per person with sodas and 2 appetizer. Might go again but will definitely try something different“

“A nice lakefront summer spot. We didn't look for complicated food. The wings were done well. Bar options were low on stock. Had the fish basket on a different occasion, which was also done nice and crispy. The lakefront deck was mostly shaded in the early afternoon hrs. Enjoyed the stop.“
