“This place is heart-warming. I had been wanting to check it out for some time as I pass through this area a lot. It is situated in a rural stretch of road in Maple Plain/Independence near the Luce Line walking trail, giving it an almost isolated and greater Minnesota country feel. That carries into the atmosphere of the place when you walk in. I agree with other reviews that it feels almost like a throwback to earlier simpler times. It may seem to some like a diner or a dive bar, but everyone there was relaxed and enjoying themselves.The menu is impressive. You would not expect so much variety. You can get basic all-American foods like burgers, or you can try pretty rare things like frog legs, or they also serve prime rib. The range is wide, which is surprising to consider how they are both capable and supplied to do that. Prices are quite reasonable, too. Meals go from as low as $8 up to $30.In short, we were not feeling too adventurous, so we simply had a Northwoods Burger, a Ceasar Salad, and shared a slice of warmed Pecan Pie. We would get it all again.A shout out to our waitress, Leslie, who was a sweetheart and did all the right things for us.If you're looking for a place to just unwind, have a couple of drinks, enjoy some comfort food and the company of others, then you need to pay a visit!“

“Amazing food. Sadly this fabulous restaurant faces the challenge of nearby construction that my be offsetting to then weak at heart. If you want to take a quiet & quaint day trip out to the western suburbs of Minneapolis to the tiny town of St Bonifacius Minnesota for pizza, make SURE you make ‘Grumpys On Main’ your destination.Stopped by Saturday March 2nd 2023 about 2:30 pm after a day of shopping nearby. We knew what we wanted, but it’d been a while since we’d been in.The moment you pull up you realize you’re taking a step back in time as this bar/restaurant has many of its original features for your eyes to behold. Creaking floors and doors and a long wooden bar with window cut-outs showing the other non-barstool side of the place greet you on arrival. There is an outdoor fenced-in seating area with tables. Numerous large flatscreen TVs adorn the walls, each tuned to a different sports event. No need for dressy garb here. Regulars and old-timers at the bar will stretch their necks and stare to see ‘who walked in’ and soon as they find they don’t know you, they turn back to their tap beer & buddy conversations. Good selection of beer on tap and bottled beer, and spirits as well.We ordered a large pizza and a couple beers. Pepperoni, ham and green pepper. Nichole was our bartender and Alicia was our pizza server. They were both prompt and courteous.THE PIZZA IS DOWNRIGHT AMAZING. There’s so much fresh cheese melted on it that you’ll need napkins immediately. It is not greasy at all. Crust was medium thin and perfectly baked. Everything tasted fresh and ingredients were flavorful, the pizza’s red sauce was robust and no too tangy, just right. Once you take your first bite you’re hooked for good.Supplied at the non-assuming bar tables are grated Parmesan and red pepper flakes in restaurant glass shaker bottles, salt & pepper, plastic forks and small paper plates. There is no server on duty so you’ll need to communicate directly with the bartender for all orders. It was easy to speak to her between the window cutouts from our table. Other tables away from the cutouts will require you to walk to the bar for your orders.As with most things good, there was a wait time while our pizza was made, then cooked. It took about 15 minutes to receive our piping hot gooey cheesy pizza.We dug in immediately, and you know that OMG feeling you get when you taste something amazing? …well this was it.Two very cold beers rounded out the meal. “My recent dining experience was an absolute explosion of flavor! The calamari was a perfect introduction - crispy, tender, and bursting with freshness. It's definitely a contender for my all-time favorite appetizer.The burger was a revelation. The patty itself was juicy and flavorful, but the real star was the especial sauce. It added a depth and complexity that took the burger to a whole new level.The flank steak? Wow. It wasn't just delicious, the texture was incredible - melt-in-your-mouth fluffy. A true testament to the chef's skill. I do appreciate the staff who recommended me to have it medium so that I enjoy the tenderness as well as the flavor!And then came dessert: a decadent symphony of chocolate in 50 shades. It was rich, satisfying, and the perfect ending to a phenomenal meal. “Very nice people with excellent service. Super friendly. I had the blue cheese bacon burger and it was OUTSTANDING. Best burger I've had in awhile. And the tator tots were deliciously crispy. My wife loved her smothered chicken saying it was wonderful, as well as gluten free. Parking was just fine at lunch time. We'll be back as this was a fantastic lunch.“

“My dog wanted me to write a review that she’s very dissatisfied with her pup cup experience—we go to the Buffalo Culver’s occasionally and their pup cups are a small vanilla custard scoop in a cup with a dog treat on top. She said the whipped cream was top notch, though.“

“One of my favorite places in Maple Grove!! Get the hot toddy in the winter, it’s perfection. I haven’t ordered anything that I did not like. Absolutely love the veggie tacos, the nachos, the burgers, everything is absolutely delicious here - staff is very friendly. Lobster bisque is soooo good! Perfect with Caesar salad. “Great Dairy Queen just off of highway 12 with easy access and good parking. Additional parking is available in back if the ones on the side are all full. Friendly staff, quick service, clean restaurant, clean bathrooms. The meal deal that comes with a Sunday is a great deal. Probably the best DQ in the entire extended west Twin Cities metro area. Nice outside eating area as well.“

“I'm a frequent visitor to this restaurant and want to highlight a recent exceptional experience. The staff here has always been great, but this time they truly exceeded expectations. I faced a payment issue as my phone's tap-to-pay feature wasn't working, and I had no physical card or cash, only a card number to input manually. Unfortunately, the updated POS system seemed to lack this option. Instead of turning me away, the assistant manager, Elmo, went out of his way to find a solution, ultimately comping my meal after exhaustive efforts to process the payment. This gesture, along with the patience and problem-solving displayed by Elmo and his team, made me feel like part of the family. I'm so grateful for their service and believe they deserve recognition, perhaps with a company pizza party, as a token of appreciation for their outstanding work.“

“I asked if they had chocolate ice cream, and the lady said no despite advertising several blizzards with chocolate ice cream in them. I used this to push for a chocolate base for my blizzard, and she begrudgingly said that I could do that. I proceeded to order a small "chocolate" blizzard with cookie dough and Reese's peanut butter cups. There weren't enough mixins, but it was pretty solid. Honestly I think Culver's is way better. I should've gone there.“
