“My waiter Addison was great and very attentive. However, the short rib sandwich was over cooked and over priced. On line there were a couple of items that I didn't see on the actual menu while at the restaurant. We were given the lunch menu at the front door, this really confused me, later Addison eventually figured it out. The rest of the experience was nice. The comedy acts were funny, except for the second to last guy, that totally bombed, as part of his act was to call all women bitches. He was poorly prepared, and otherwise was not funny at all, and should not be invited back.“

“Minneapolis can be intimidating for a small town Wisconsin girl like me. I was looking for a pub that felt like home and Mackenzie’s was exactly what I was looking for! Such a warm and cozy atmosphere. I was impressed by the very unique selection of seasonal cocktails and the pretty diverse menu (so many things looked good it was hard to decide). I’m still thinking of the Thai peanut wrap days later, seriously some of the best sauce I’ve had in my whole life. I can’t wait to come back next time I’m in Minneapolis!“

“Lovely little spot to hang out. Beautiful inside and the staff is friendly. They also have a little patio area in the alley. The space as a whole was clean.
I tried the guava cooler mocktail and it was delicious.
Great space for music too. The stage and sound system are set up really great.“

“You haven't done Northeast Minneapolis if you've never been to Slacks!! Good food, good drinks, good people watching. The original roast beef sandwich is no joke! Epically large portion that is delicious and guaranteed to put you in a meat coma while you're still chewing! I love love love the tots. You don't "need" them but the crunch is a great accompaniment to any meal.

Note: I do not recommend the breakfast tots. I may have needed to be hungover to enjoy it. In theory, it sounds delicious but wasn't in reality.“

expected standard pub fare, and were surprised to find really good brats and hot dogs. ordered a beet salad and all was fresh and flavorful. will keep it in mind for future forays into that area.“

Drink prices were affordable and bowling was fairly priced.

Was a fun time considering the cancellation and would go back again- if in the area.

“I arrived near midnight. I was checked in quickly Great room. Coffee maker in the room. Enough closets and hangers Comfortable bed. Decent bathroom. Good shower. Enough towels I left early am and didn’t have any breakfast I would stay there again“

“I explained to the host that I had a morning business meeting over breakfast, and she sat us in a nice quiet corner of the restaurant, which was perfect. The service was excellent and the food was very good. Afterwards, as I was leaving, the host caught me and asked how my meeting went - I really appreciated her attentiveness!“

“Great drinks and food, really cool building!

Only complaint is service was a bit slow, there was clearly only one server working at the time and she was running around like crazy dealing with every table while the 2 or 3 bartenders were standing on their phones lol. Maybe have less bartenders and more servers to balance out the workload.

That being said, our server (light blonde haired girl, I can’t remember her name?) was fantastic!!! Super kind, funny and helpful. Next time we’re in the area, we’ll be coming back for those nachos & long islands!“
