I am so grateful to have the Guthrie here in Minneapolis, in the heart of the city! The repertoire makes for a great season every year, and they so deserve to be sold out every performance. The building is an architectural marvel, and you rarely feel crowded. There are plenty of restaurants and hotels nearby, as it's downtown Minneapolis.
Love it there, great atmosphere, good people
Wonderful restaurant at the Guthrie Theater. Perfect menu size. Great food and wine selection
Ovation Express Cafe at the Guthrie Theater offers a convenient dining option for theatergoers. The menu features a variety of delicious options, including grilled cheese sandwiches, salmon toast, and cauliflower. While the service can be quick to accommodate show schedules, the staff is attentive and tries to ensure customers make it to their performances on time. The restaurant's cafe-style ambiance is well-suited for a pre-show meal. Vegetarian and halibut dishes are also available and highly recommended by past diners.
