“My two Daughters and I ate at the restaurant Sunday evening before Labor Day. Jenny was our waitress and she was amazing. She recommended the garlic cheese bread with sauce for an appetizer which was great. We ordered a couple of pizzas and a salad. Delicious. Reasonable price. Plenty of leftovers.“

The original restaurant I ordered pizzas from did not deliver within 1 hour delay I called Marcos and they had 10 beautiful delicious pizzas delivered to my home in 25 minutes they literally saved my party! Shortly after, the owner comes over and offers us a free pizza—which was pretty awesome in itself. But what really pulled on my heartstrings was listening to him describe the amount of thought and heart he puts into the food. He explained the exceptional process he uses to create gut-healthy bread, sauces made fresh daily, and other natural ingredients—without all the processing we’ve grown to hate. I told him it felt like the scene from Ratatouille where the mouse combines all the flavors and everything bursts into color. It really was that good. You can taste the quality in every bite. But more than the pizza, I could tell the owner himself is exceptional. Food was great, service was pretty good as well. If it's your first time there, it's a little confusing trying to figure out how to maneuver through the cafeteria. “An absolutely incredible dining experience

Sanjusan was one of the best restaurant experiences I’ve had in Minneapolis. We went as a group and decided to order almost one of everything on the menu so we could all try as much as possible, and honestly, I don’t think there was a single dish that disappointed.

The Japanese-Italian combination sounds unusual at first, but it works unbelievably well. Every dish had its own unique flavors and textures, and it was so much fun having the entire table try everything together. The small plates, yakitori, pasta, and pizzas were all fantastic.

The Isaac Becker pizza was one of the biggest surprises for me, and the Mentaiko Lumache was another standout. The Hiramasa crudo, pork gyoza, duck tataki, and yakitori were all incredible as well. Even after ordering that much food, we kept finding ourselves saying, “We have to try that too.”

The staff were just as impressive as the food. Everyone was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely excited to walk us through the menu. With a menu this creative, having staff who can actually explain the dishes and make recommendations makes a huge difference.

The atmosphere is fantastic too. It’s stylish, intimate, energetic, and just feels like a place where you’re supposed to sit around with friends, order a bunch of things, and enjoy the entire experience rather than rush through dinner.

Sanjusan absolutely exceeded my expectations. The food is creative without being gimmicky, the service is outstanding, and ordering almost the entire menu with a group turned dinner into an experience we’ll be talking about for a long time.

Easy 5 stars. One of the most memorable meals I’ve had in Minneapolis and a place I’d recommend to anyone looking for something truly unique.“

“@punchpizza is one of my go to comfort foods. For the good times and the tough times, grabbing a pizza from Punch always does the trick.

Obviously folks know about this place but I still want to highlight them because longtime fan. Fun fact, each location has hidden cat figurines in their restaurants. Generally in the ceilings. My stop tonight was at my local St. Paul location. They have a whopping 12 locations in MN all listed in one of the last photos.

“HEADS UP VEGETARIANS!!! If you order a plain cheese pizza with wild rice on it, or a "hog in the bog with no sausage", the wild rice still has sausage mixed in. I have no idea why. It's not indicated as such on the website and several employees *do not know* that the wild rice comes with sausage mixed in and cannot be included separately as vegetarian. This is my one and only complaint and it breaks my heart because everything else is awesome but this lack of communication around seemingly vegetarian-safe ingredients is quite frankly a health risk.“

Party of 2, ordered: americano, cappuccino, blacked avocado toast, duck fat frieds, French toast
Everything was superb! Coffee was great and flavorful.
Avocado toast comes in Mexican seasoning and it was amazing. Toasts were also surprisingly good and not too sweet, goes well with black coffee. The fries are drizzled with duck fat so cant really tell the difference but they were great too.
Indoor space is cozy yet fancy! The outdoor space was perfect too when plenty of shades. You're not sitting directly under the sun.
Cant wait to try other menus and cocktails next time.“
