The food was outstanding from start to finish ( presentation, flavor profile, texture, all natural and full of character). “My husband and I had a splendid lunch date at the Himalayan Restaurant. The seating outdoors is so beautiful and is decorated with many flowers. The atmosphere inside for lunch was quite peaceful, which is my ideal type of restaurant.
We ordered dumplings as an appetizer. My husband enjoyed the extra spicy sauce. I liked the sauce with tomatoes and spices.
The main courses are made to the spice level you prefer. The chicken tikka masala and the mixed curry were absolutely delicious. The naan was seasoned well with garlic and herbs. The white and brown rice were fluffy and cooked perfectly as well.
We are hoping to eat here again soon. Highly recommend!

“We held our company Christmas Party at their beautiful restaurant and had such a great time! The staff were so attentive and wonderful to interact with throughout the whole evening! We ordered an array of food and our employees couldn’t stop talking about how fantastic the prime rib and KFC (Korean fried cauliflower) were! The talk around the shop about this event and the delicious food went on for days! We all had such a great experience from start to finish. They made it so easy to plan, set up, host and tear down. We would highly recommend anyone looking to host a party to come here! Now if you are just looking for a bite to eat for a date night or family night out, they also have you covered. No matter what plans you have this is the spot to be! A huge thanks to Lake and Irving for all they did for us and a massive thank you to Chris the chef! “Visited the St Louis Park location, having been a fan of the original Excelsior location. Had the happy hour Margarita’s, Tacos (carnitas, steak & potato), and a spicy chicken salad. All were good, along with chips & queso. A good addition to that area.“

My choice was the lamb shank which was cooked to perfection, so tender it fell off the bone and didn't need a knife. Dessert for me was the mousse au chocolat (always) and having tried it at every restaurant that offers it, Christos will never be outdone. It should be mentioned that the salads are always made with what our daughter calls "happy veggies," always fresh and beautiful! the soups are all wonderfully special and "home made" as well. No one comes even close to the love and care that goes into this dining piece of heaven. Enjoying your delectable meal at Christos feels as good as a warm hug from your mom. “I finally made it to Matt’s bar to check out the “Original” Jucy Lucy. Hamburger was great, as expected. Fries were shoestring and were perfect and delicious. Service was great. I went on a Monday afternoon and we sat down right away and were eating in about 20 minutes.

This really is more of a restaurant now. Because of the food, there is a LOT of turnover and it’s mostly food tourists. Even on a Monday. IDK if the kitchen closes, but maybe it turns more into a bar after that. The signs posted everywhere basically say “Others are waiting to be seated”. While there wasn’t a line when we were there, I’m sure there is when it’s weekend busy.

Good prices. They could be charging much more based on demand.

Lastly, cash only. There is an ATM on site with a $2 charge if you forget.
