“This Thai restaurant is a hidden gem. My wait time was not long at all. I do recommend this restaurant if you want a good Thai taste. I got their rice noodle soup, spring rolls and chicken satay. All were amazing. The spring rolls were so fresh. The rice noodle soup aka combination Pho had a lot of proteins. Their noodle soup have a little tum yum taste to it and honest the broth is good as it is, you dont need to add any sauce to it. Ill definitely be coming back to try their other dishes.“
“Great place for some tasty Thai. Service was excellent, food was top notch. I had the green curry with chicken and my husband got the drunken noodles we both did medium heat and added more chili oil one we tried it. Very delicious on their own but we personally added more heat. Will be back to try more stuff! Our guests had the seafood pad tom soup (loved it) and the other the Thai version of chow mein. Will def be back and it's a walkable distance from the starcade in keg and case.“
“Picture a steaming bowl of chicken pho, its intoxicating aroma wafting through the air, promising warmth and comfort. The broth, simmered to perfection, exudes a delicate balance of savory chicken essence and aromatic spices like star anise and ginger. Slices of tender, poached chicken float gracefully atop a bed of rice noodles, absorbing the broth's rich flavors with each passing moment.Fresh garnishes of cilantro, Thai basil, and bean sprouts add bursts of color and freshness, while a squeeze of lime injects a zesty tang that dances on the palate. Each spoonful is a journey of texture and taste, as the silky noodles intertwine with the savory chicken, creating a harmonious symphony of flavors that lingers long after the last slurp. A bowl of this delicious chicken pho is more than just a meal—it's a sensory experience that nourishes both body and soul. The chicken pho was delicious ?“
“I order three Thai dishes usually from Thai places: Drunken noodles, Thai basil fried rice, and what ever wings they have.Tonight I tried Yoyar. Drunken noodles, Thai basil fried rice and spicy wings. This was the BEST three out of any place in the twin cities. The Drunken noodles were thin, rich, and the medium spice was purpose. The fried rice didn't clump, the basil was fantastic, and the flavors were great. And the glaze and cut on the spicy wings was perfect. Wow. Fan for life.“
“ATTENTION: Please be patient with the staff. They're a very small operation but are incredibly busy and trying to keep up They've got a small space to work and and can barely squeeze by each other when cooking so that combined with the number of orders is reasonable justification for longer wait times. I'd suggest ordering 30 min to 1hr before picking up to save some wait time during peak hours. With that out of the way, their food is so good and worth the wait! Portion sizes were plenty to be full too! The team is kind and watching them work I could tell they were clearly do the best they could! I would love to see them expand later! There is a small dine in area, but if it's peak meal times it can be a long wait, but it's understandable.Thank you to all the employees there! I see you barely able to move around back there and so busy. I appreciate you all!“
“Great food and drinks await you at Hai Hai. Hai Hai offers a delicious offering of vegetarian friendly appetizers and mains. The food is fresh, flavorful and the service is attentive.Southeast Asian flavors are even infused into the cocktails, alcoholic and non-alcoholic. You won't regret visiting!“
“Oh my goodness!! Absolutely delicious! Clean establishment, parking was easy, and the service was good. The food was the best I have had in a while. I ordered larb, spring rolls, and ginseng coffee. I love spicy food and the larb was truly spicy and full of flavor! I will return here for sure!“
“Lanna Thai is our new favorite Thai restaurant! Ate dinner there last night and it was great. I had the chicken pad Thai and my husband ordered the yellow curry with chicken over rice. We shared and both were great. Apple, the owner, was so friendly and helpful. The place is small so you may not want to go during busy times but take out is an option as well.“
“Order some lunch through Grub Hub. Typical delvery, no issues there. The food was still warm. Order spice level 5, but it was not spicy at all. Over all the flavor, profiles were good, but they were small portions listed at around $12 to $15 per dish. For the price vs. the portion size,i would not order again. Im sure Grub Hub jacked up the prices some. Could be better for dining in or picking up yourself. That is usually always the best way to go. I would try again because i enjoyed the food, but just not through an app service.“
“Had a very nice lunch here with my cousin. The food is quite authentic. Had spring rolls, Pad Thai, and Laab. I was so excited they had chicken Laab, most places just have pork. You can even get tofu Laab here. The spring rolls had rather a lot of lettuce but very fresh. My cousin and I hadn't seen each other in a long time, so we were there quite awhile. Staff was very patient with us, though did not offer us any refill on water ?Dietary restrictions: My cousin likes this restaurant because it works well with her dietary restrictionsParking: They have a parking lot in back but it's unmarked and hard to find“
“We order pickup from Pad Thai around 3 to 4 times per month and absolutely love this place. Excellent flavors, nice sized portions and overall very good value for money.Vegetarian options: Most dishes that we've tried work well with tofu.“
“absolute banger of a restaurant. if you're craving hearty, flavorful east asian cuisine and a homey down to earth atmosphere, this is your place.i grew up going to hole in the wall Chinese restaurants and this hit the spot. big portions, delicious, good vibes.“
“we've been here probably a dozen times and haven't had anything that wasn't delicious. particularly love the fresh rolls, red curry and drunken noodles but we've tried almost everything and never been disappointed. my daughter usually doesn't like pad thai because it can be fish sauce heavy but here she loves it. if you like Thai food, this is your new GoTo place .“
“This is a must go establishment! My favorite is the vegetable fried rice, medium heat...can’t go wrong. The service is top notch. The owner, Tiffany, takes pride in providing a pleasant dining experience. Super clean and inviting environment.“
“This place is definitely one of my favorites. The food is delicious and fast. I always get the Panang curry or the pad Thai. I really like how comfortable the small and quiet dining area is with all the plants. Super friendly family-owned place. I'm always so surprised that this place isn't super busy because it should be!Vegetarian options: Most dishes have a choice of meats, tofu, or veggie“
“Mela is a family favorite, we were looking for a new Thai restaurant when we moved into the area, and this is definitely the best. The curries are fantastic but we usually get the Pad Thai, purely out of familiarity. The massaman curry is out of this world, too. The spice here is serious, so if you love food that brings the heat this will definitely be a winner for you. Milder dishes are definitely available and other dishes can be tamed in flavor for those with less adventurous palates.Overall I would highly recommend.“
“Authentic? Absolutely! How can it not be? The chef is authentically Hmong, his experiences are Hmong, and thus his food is ? Hmong! Traditional? Not completely. I love it for what it is…an evolution of the Hmong food diaspora here in America! While visiting my beautiful niece and her little family, I had a strong hankering to eat Hmong food. She suggested this brilliant establishment. The wait was short and the portions abundant. While eating I was transported back to mom/dad’s kitchen, and the after school meals they would prepare for us! The sausage is excellent and had all the flavors of Hmong new year. Lemongrass, fat, herbs, salt…and crunch! The pork was perfectly cooked and we loved dipping it in hot sauce along with the sticky rice. I highly recommend this authentic Hmong dining experience and can not wait to dine at Vinai next time I visit. I just wish Seattle had something similar. Thank you Chef Yia for moving our food into the future while preserving our past! Cheers!“
“Are you looking for an authentic Thai experience? Then look no further! Flamin Thai has plenty different of options to eat for everyone. The sushi was fresh fresh fresh! The service was excellent! The environment made me feel like I was back in Thailand! I’ll be back.“
“I don’t know much about Pho. I don’t think it’s for me. My daughter loves pho. So we checked out PHOEVER.Fast service, lots of options. Very tasty pho. I liked it. Large portions. We also got the pork egg rolls. Those were very good.If you like pho, you should check out PHOEVER.Parking: Parking in the ramp behind the building is probably easiest. Free parking. Otherwise the free lot across the street has plenty of parking also, but it’s a pain, and dangerous, to try to cross.“
“Everything was top notch. Quality and tasteful interior, large seating area, both booths and many tables. They have an extremely large dining area and a full bar. The staff was professional and friendly. My daughter and I had an early dinner there and the food was fabulous.I have owned 6 restaurants in my younger days. Owning a successful restaurant these days is a tremendous responsibility. I applaud them for their hard work.As we were leaving the dinner crowd was streaming in the door. It's a breath of fresh air to have this classy restaurant in White Bear Lake.“
“First I have to say that the food was just wonderful! I had Thai food before at another place and it was just nasty. I was reluctant to try this place but glad that I did. Very good food! my boys are picky eaters and they loved their food. This place is very cozy and very relaxing place to eat. The staff is very friendly, we will be back!!“
“The food is delicious and SUPER HOT. I had the shrimp green curry with red and green bell peppers. It was served in green curry sauce with rice on the side. I had two appetizers: spring rolls and pot stickers each with its own dipping sauce. The service was exceptional. The food came hot and ready to eat. I had green tea to top it off.“
“THE BEST! Lamphai (maybe I'm spelling her name wrong) is the sweetest lady. She has run this restaurant on her own for 28 years and makes excellent food. She was so friendly and showed me all the herbs that she uses for her dishes. She piled my lunch buffet plate high with beef, chicken curry, pork, wontons, and rice, and checked in to make sure it wasn't too spicy and that I'd had enough rice. Stop by Taste of Thailand for great food and support this long running, woman-owned business!“
“This is by far the best Thai that we have in the neighborhood! I usually get pad Thai and red curry anytime I try a new place, and I’ve been disappointed with the two other places nearby—but not here! I asked for pad Thai Flamin hot with tofu and it’s one of the best I’ve had in a very long time. The tofu was perfectly cubed and fried without being greasy, and the sauce a rich brown color with notes of peanut, tamarind, and lime (slightly sweet and tangy), and the spice was perfectly hot without being overpowering. Most other places give me mild/medium when I ask for Thai hot, and this place actually listened. The red curry was also memorable with bright flavors from the Thai basil and veggies. Poured over rice, it’s a heavenly combo perfect for a cold night. I am so grateful to have a new go-to Thai spot! I hope they stick around for a long time.“
“Wow! The food is amazing. Yes, it's a bit pricy, but quantities are generous, and the freshness can't be beat. We had the little shrimp dumplings, crab fried rice, green curry, and spring rolls. Spices were on point, we both loved the use of fresh herbs in the dishes. Highly recommend!“
“My husband and I had the Laos papaya salad (4/5 spice), dried noodles (3/5 spice) and beef laab (3/5 spice). The food was amazing!! The spice and flavor was on point! The service was excellent!!The owner was very personable and met our needs to the best of his abilities. My husband wanted raw laab, but he couldn’t serve it raw, so he made it medium rare. The atmosphere was casual but a little small; if I would’ve brought my family there, it would’ve been difficult to seat everyone.Lunch hour. Reasonable price. Parking was not an issue.“
“Wonderful authentic Thai food. The dark haired woman serving us was so awesome and attentive. She was handling all the tables in the restaurant during lunch and did a flawless job. Free parking in the back. We ordered the lunch pad Thai with wonton and the drunken noodles with eggs rolls. Both dishes were fantastic. Not let the old building scare you away from going here. Hidden gem we will be back!“
“I enjoyed how fresh the pork spring rolls tasted and the flavor of the chicken laab! My friend had their pad Thai and liked it! The only downside is the service, it was quite slow. They appear to have a lot of to go orders, so maybe they prioritize this over actual seated customers.“
“Found this little gem thanks to DoorDash. We now order from here at least twice a month. We like the pineapple tofu red curry, red curry, and pad Thai. Food is excellent. Our only complaint is that the quantity varies from time to time - for example, sometimes, the rice container is only just half full. Same with the curries also. We still return because the food is simply that good.“
“Restaurant was empty when we got there and packed within 30 minutes - all the tables were reserved. With it being such a small spot I definitely recommend making a reservation when possible. Our waitress was absolutely wonderful, she was detailed and helpful in answering our questions and recommending drinks. We got a mix of sushi, thai, and ramen, all of which were equally delicious! You could really tell the food was freshly made and of great quality. I recommend trying the thai iced coffee as well if you are up for a cold, sweet, umami drink. A word of the wise for those of us a little less accustomed to asian spice (if you know what i mean...) - please don't lie to yourself about how much heat you can handle, the spicy ramen is SPICY. The “level 3” heat we ordered was a lot. Do yourself the favor and get a 1 if possible and ask for some of the hot sauce on the side so you can add it in to your liking. My friend was absolutely humbled. He was all but in tears. I have never seen his face so red. I think our waitress got a real kick out of this as well (she did try her best to warn us about The Spicy, so it was all in good fun) ? Overall, a great little spot. We'll be returning for sure!!“
“Our first time here... The food was great! All but 2 tables in the main section were full. Spicy selection from 0 to 5... we got a few 3's and a 2.Chicken Green Curry at 2 was great.Beef Red Curry ordered a 3 but seemed sweet and lighter in spice than the green Curry. The seafood salad 3 was goodAnd the chicken fried rice at 0 was tasty... with no spice at all.Egg rolls and Thai sausageThe price for 4 adults was $100 without tipParking: As it was put first time here we are not up on the parking... for us it was difficult.“
“Great food my only problem is portion for 35$ I’d expect more from them. I try to go every month because the food is great. Too much noodle not enough protein and vegetable. I recommend the lobster egg rolls the sauce is amazing and Drunken Noodles are great just order extra protein and veggie.“
“OMGosh!!!! The spring rolls and Tom Yum are soooo delicious! I will be back. I've already told 3 people about this during my meal ? The owner Sam is so delightful. I had the pleasure of eating inside as it is posted as pickup only between the times of 11-1:30pm and 4pm until ? He allows a group of 4 or less to eat inside at times. He offered this when I told him I was in the parking lot. Do NOT miss this place! The food is fresh. The spring roll sauce is homemade. A+++Parking: Parking close and easy for quick pick up.“
“This place ranks among the best Thai food I have had in the U.S. The chef commands a mix of spicy, sweet, umami, and acidic flavors in a way that only the bestchefs can.-To drink, I got the Thai iced green tea. The slightly more astringent green tea paired really well in this drink, which was not overly sweet as Thai iced teas can be.-We got the #33 shrimp salad, which was perfectly limey.-#43, the Yen Tha foe, was truly one of the best soups I've ever eaten. The depth of flavor in the broth, the silky-gushy noodles, and the marvelous textures combined for something I'd like to eat for my last meal.-Pad eggplant was silky and umami-laden.“
“Server was a bit strange. The food completely made up for her. When you walk in the door, there is no fish smell.Very important! The food temperature was perfect.Texture, flavor, all spot on!We drove 25 minutes to get here, and will absolutely be back.“
“This is the only restaurant besides phams that’s still open from when I worked at mama Ds kitchen. I always loved the fried rice especially shrimp the shrimp are big and they give you your money worth! The boba is amazing thick juicy sweet! I just love sabbai Chinese! Please don’t ever shut down!“
“First time visit and I had the impression to order pho, but the menu selection was very exciting. The organization of the menu is real easy to read. I must say the prices of the appetizers and entrees are affordable. Which helped to order more than 1 item to explore and enjoy something new.I ordered the Pad Thai with Tofu. The taste was on point and a great portion. Ended up taking half of the Pad Thai to go. The limes really helped me enjoy the noodles and the sauce selection at the table was helpful. By the way - the tofu was cooked perfectly. Crisp on the outside, but soft on the inside. I would order this again in the near future.Someone please invite me.I also ordered Oyster Chicken Wings and it was crazy. I couldn’t believe how crispy each wing was and the sauce was delicious. Next time I visit Kong’s Kitchen I’ll make sure to ask for 2 orders. ? These wings are the best in Saint Paul hands down. The service was decent. No complaints about the food whatsoever. So excited to come back.“
“I like eating some of the foods in their menu. Some foods tastes good. However, I wouldn't go there for pho, but I would go there for cooked dishes that's served on plates, because those taste better than the pho's. They have good customer service over there when I went.“
“My husband and i decided to try this place this weekend and we do like the food we had ordered. My favorite dish we ordered was the pork padthai. If you had laothia restaurant padthai. This probably the closest tasting dish i had in a long time and you can add spicy to the dish. The pork padthai was very good. My 2nd favorite was the beef brisket. We added medium spicy to it and it was delicious. It wasn't too sweet, the favors of the beef brisket balanced very well. The raw laab was good too. We did no green onion and no bitter. I like my raw laab still tasting fresh and favor balancing. If you're in the area, i definitely recommend stopping at this place if you're looking to have some good foodParking: We went during lunch time so parking was hard to find.“
“Don't sleep on this place. It's more of a venue but they have takeout dinner hours late week-weekend. The generals chicken is better than most places and the chicken laab is great. They nail it on your spicy preferences. I reccomend calling in your order so you can leave a tip. Online orders are through a platform and you can't tip in store. They're always super fast and friendly. Family owned spot. Hmong sausage and sticky rice is on point also.“
“I ordered chicken pad Thai from here for the first time today. It was great, quick and well priced. This is a take out only place so don’t expect to dine in though there is seating outside. I will be back to try more food but what I ordered was great.“
“I ordered pineapple curry and asked them to make it real Thai spicy and they did make it real good spicy and gave me nostalgia of my days in ThailandTotally recommend it to people who want the real Thai amount of spice, and heads up, it is not for the faint of heart “
