Then a very long time before our orders were taken. AND then a very long time to get our food. All the waiting took almost an hour and a half. “Amazing Ethiopian food! Many of the "Americanized items" on the menu were not available, so we went with their recommendations on the most popular Ethiopian options.

Sambusa, cheesy fries, Melkka Special, and Shekla Tebs made up our meal. Dispite never having had ethnic foods like this, our kids absolutely loved it as well.

And of course we had some delicious Baklava to finish the meal.“

“The steak & shrimp is amazing. The waitress was so kind. A lady came into the cafe having a diabetic reaction, asking for a banana. The waitress helped her sit down and ran to give the lady orange juice. It was such a pleasure to witness this kindness. The world needs more people and places like The Old Creamery Cafe! “I've always had issues with a gluten-free burger without a bun. Or with a sunday, they just can't seem to figure that out and I live at these places when I travel.Because they do have gluten free.They need to do more training and gluten free and always ask if you want a gluten free bun.Or if you do not want a gluten free bun.

“I have been going to Bo Diddleys for over 30 years and Bo Diddleys subs are the best except for the fact that they switched to Miracle Whip from the traditional Mayo. I remember them trying this switch years ago and they did end up going back to Mayo. At least give us a choice between Miracle Whip and Mayo. Remainder of menu is great.“

“I went to Job Sims house for a service call for his air conditioner not working. Jon immediately offered me breakfast as he is a cook at granite city. I politely declined and continued working. After I finished fixing his air conditioner Jon comes out with a plate of food saying it wasn’t in his nature to not give out food. I went back to the shop and ate the best homemade burrito I have ever had. Jon was not only one of the nicest people I have met but also one of the best cooks. You will not be disappointed going to granite city and receiving a meal made by Jon!“

The staff were very accommodating towards my kids and were so kind- the bartender made my daughter her first Shirley temple. Wings were great! I would not let the poor review about not being family friendly sway you as they were great with my kids.“

“my girlfriend and I came down from hoffman, MN for her late birthday supper and it was absolutely fabulous. The restaurant is setup in a very esthetic 1920's and older fashion with outdoor dining next to the river. We had the three little pigs entree and it not only tasted great but was a very big portion and reasonably priced for the amount. I highly recommend this place and we look forward to coming back in the future!“

“I'd just like to say, season is a sweetheart. We didn't get off on the right foot my first time here. It was because she was so busy at being a great bartender. I came into the bar very emotional and needed a drink. So lucky she was there.“

“We and my girlfriend stopped here for lunch and it was our first time eating here. Since the weather was nice, we decided to sit at the outdoor patio. We were greeting by a friendly waiter who was happy to give us some suggestions on their popular dishes. I decided to get a pickled loon burger and my girlfriend got the Rueben. We got the dill pickle cheese curds as an appetizer.
The food came quick and looked great. The cheese curds were hand battered and were very light tasting. Not drenched in grease and were very good. My burger was pretty good but I think next time I’ll get something a little more different than just a bacon cheeseburger. The gfs Ruben was delicious! I was lucky enough that she shared a few bites with me and it was phenomenal! Prices were great as well. About the same if not a little cheaper than fast food but tastes wayyyyy better!

This place is a fun hang out. A very cool atmosphere inside and nice and relaxing and a good place to people watch outside. I would highly recommend this to anyone in the area! I can’t wait to go back and try some others!“

“We had Lily's at our wedding on 10-5-24. Steven was great to work with all the way up to the wedding and even worked with me so he wouldn't show up during our ceremony!
